Our furnace was not working properly with our Nest thermostat and we tried 3 different HVAC heating and air companies before we were recommended to try Controlled Elements. Each of those different HVAC companies had no idea how to get our furnace to work properly with our thermostat and even made things worse. Jeff the owner came out personally to our house and fixed all of the issues at a very fair price. He was friendly and very informative in telling us what the issues were and how he was fixing them. I will only use this company for heating and air from now on and happily recommend Jeff and his team to anybody who needs air and heating services.

As a 23 year contractor before retiring I know there's lots of ways to measure a home improvement company. From the appt. setting process (was it easy and smooth?) to the appt. itself (did they call to confirm and were they on time?)
Then there's the job site and the work done - was the job site clean and were the techs polite? Considerate of my home? The work well done?
Of course, these are all important.
BUT... the most critical way to measure any contractor is how they act/react to a problem with the job. (When everything goes smoothly, you'll never know - but they do occasionally happen). This is by far the most important element when deciding to recommend and use a contractor again because it puts on full display the character and ethics of the company and specifically, the owner.
Jeff and Controlled Elements run a business that excels on everything I listed above. It's a business the employees can be proud to represent and one I could not recommend more because of the character and ethics of its owner.

Hey Guys! Here is a five star review for Thermo King. Did a mini split system with them and talked a little bit about that technical side of things and realized these guys really know there stuff. I’ve seen many people try to put in these pre charged mini splits in them selves and realized they don’t really make them “plug and play.” You have to know what you’re doing! You need a good Licensed HVAC tech to get them dialed in correctly. The time it would take someone that doesn’t know what they are doing to install this thing, is not worth it! By the time you get done You Tube surfing, they would be done! They made it look easy, because for them it was! They know what they are doing they know what problems might come up and how to fix them! They can design and set up your system right the first time and it won’t be undersized or have a pressure imbalance in the system or Freon leaks etc. That’s just the HVAC side of the job ! You still need another trade to hook up the electrical. I don’t know why people spend ten hours watching you tube thinking they can become a tradesman overnight. So really YouTube tells you “what” to do but they can not make you a good mechanically able technician with thousands of hours of hands on experience. They will not tell you if they are doing it wrong nor will you know. I highly recommend these guys and hope this review saves you from many headaches . Hire a pro! Even as a professional tradesman with 30 years experience I would not attempt to do their job. An old journeyman once told me when I was an apprentice , stick to what you know and you’ll always succeed !

Todd was such a pleasure to deal with being a woman and uneducated about air conditioning systems. He was very honest and transparent. I appreciate Todd and his crew. They were respectful and courteous. I would highly recommend this business.

Wow these guys are great. Todd came out to the house and gave me a fair quote compared to the other two. Once I gave them the go ahead they came out a week later and completed the job in one day. They were super friendly and quite and left the house cleaner than before they got here. Several of my friends have used Thermal King off my recommendation and they all had the same experience. They also did a huge commercial building a friend of my has. No job is to small or big for these guys. Kudos to Todd and the crew.
