Brian Kwasny installed a Mitsubishi Heat Pump Heating and AC system in our 2 story house Spring 2022. The system is sooo quiet and gets the house to temperature quickly. We run the system much more often than our previous noisy furnace just to be comfortable, yet combined with our solar panels, it costs nothing to run. The AC does a great job of maintaining cool without blasting you with cold air the way forced air systems do. I also cannot say enough about the skill, courtesy, professionalism and cleanliness of the team who installed our system. They were fantastic! And, the price for the system was competitive with other vendors.

Brian has restored my faith that there are still some contractors who are professional, competent and a pleasure to work with. Our whole HVAC system needed to be replaced and Brian made great recommendations to improve performance and efficiency. Our home was built on the hillside on an inverted truss system making our install more difficult that most. The crawl space required acrobatic skills. Aaron and his install crew did a fantastic job. All were very courteous and showed great attention to detail. They obviously enjoy what they do and should be proud of their workmanship. Yesterday, the state licensed inspector did a pressure check on the new duct work. He commented that the results were excellent, leakage almost non-existent and well below the CA standards. I highly recommend Brian and his team for any HVAC work.

Our small kids weren't sleeping well because of the heat, so we decided to pull the trigger on a new furnace and heat pump. I am so glad we went with Air System Solutions. Brian and his team did a terrific job. For the quote, Brian drove up (a 2 hour drive) and patiently answered all my questions. He clearly communicated my options, and described the whole process. His quote was clear yet also detailed, and it included plenty of options for me to trade-off. Brian advised me on the process of requesting HOA approval, which went smoothly. The install went well: His 2-man crew worked quickly and respectfully, and the whole job was done in 1.5 days. After the install, they completely handled the HERS pressure-testing and the city permitting; Brian drove up to interface with the city inspector; all I had to do was sign.

I have two small nit-picks. The thermostat screen died about an hour in; however, I texted and emailed Brian immediately, and he arranged for someone to drive up a replacement within 24 hours, on Saturday morning! I was very grateful for his quick response. 3 months later, the replacement thermostat has been working perfectly. The other nit-pick is that the 1/4" copper condensate drain line is a bit unsightly. It runs about 10' from the furnace to my clothes washer drain. In the garage, it's behind a conduit -- good. But in the laundry room, it is sitting bare in the back of the cabinets and down the wall. It is not a big deal -- I could cover it up with some wire molding or something -- but it would've been nice if they had concealed it or painted it somehow. It is not a big deal, and I'm confident Brian would have made it right if I had asked him to. He seems to me to have a lot of integrity.

The system is now 3 months old, and it is wonderful. When the heater kicked on the first time, it was amazingly quiet, yet effective. The gas and electric bills did not increase too much. The thermostat offers the right level of customizability for me -- basic setpoint scheduling. And it works well despite me not giving it an internet connection :).

The owner of Air Systems Solutions, Brian, is top notch guy who knows his business inside and out. His team has always been courteous, attentive, punctual and thorough. I've had them work on my heating and my a/c multiple times and they keep my 25 year old appliances running. I will absolutely buy replacements from them and have them do the installations when I need new systems.

Air System Solutions just replaced my old gas furnace and AC system with a new inverter-style heat pump. Brian, the owner, was very competent, quoted me a top notch system at a reasonable price (plus rebates that made it a steal), and the installers were clean, polite, and thorough. The new heat pump is a dream: so quiet and efficient compared to my old gas furnace and AC! My experience with Air System was 100% positive and impressive. I especially respect that they are leaning into the various rebates available; it's a lot of bureaucracy for them to deal with, but it saves their heat pump customers a ton. Between 3CREN and IRA rebates, I'm paying for less than 50% of the full installed cost of my new system. (YMMV.) It even turned out cheaper than a new gas furnace, and so much quieter and saving the planet too!

We needed to replace our existing HVAC system and got several quotes for a conventional gas furnace/condenser system along with a heat pump system. We chose Air System Solutions to install a heat pump system because they provided the most complete description of the work required. Brian did the initial evaluation and thoroughly described the issues with the current system that needed to be corrected and listened to our concerns and desires for the new system. The Air System team completed the work in two days and were clean, courteous and respectful due the project. Now we have a system that we have confidence that will perform for many years. Overall a great experience.

I own a small home in Santa Barbara, and wanted to install a Mini-Split air conditioner. Brian, the owner, came to my home for an estimate. Brian was much more thorough than others in his estimate, and gave me confidence to move forward with Air System Solutions.
On the day of the installation, a crew of 3 arrived exactly at 8:00 am, per our agreement. I showed them around the house and we discussed various aspects of the installation. The crew clearly had worked together often and immediately split up into their individual tasks. They worked both independently and in harmony. They asked me several questions during the installation and recommended a change to the installation site for the external condenser. The revised installation site was much more aesthetically pleasing, and I am very happy. The crew were very efficient, the installation proceeded rapidly and was finished about 2PM. The installation was great, the crew exceeded my expectation both in time and in quality of work. Clean up was swift, and I was shown how to operate the installed unit prior to the crew departing.

We used Air System Solutions to install a new furnace 3 years ago and recently, a heat pump for air conditioning. Both times they were professional and did quality work and were especially responsive to all our questions. They were in the same price range (slightly lower) than other estimates we received. Danny was especially patient in explaining this newer cooling system and Luis kept the whole scheduling process moving smoothly. We recently installed a new electric heat pump system. We solicited 4 separate quotes to remove our old 1950's gas floor heater and to install a new ducted system with heat and ac. The owner, Brian, came out and met with us for a walk through. His quote was competitive with the other three companies but he was much more thorough and detailed during his initial walk through and in the actual quote. I just felt better about his overall attention to detail vs the other contractors. The install team of 5 was super professional, courteous, and competent. They all worked well together and communicated well with us. It took them two days to complete our three bedroom home with installation of registers, ducting, and airhandler in the attic and the condenser on the side of the house which they installed after they poured a cement slab foundation rather than using the plastic risers. The quality of workmanship was top notch and exceeded expectations. Brian also worked to get us multiple energy rebates to help cover some of the cost. We highly recommend Brian and his team. We could not be more pleased with our experience with Air System Solutions and we are thoroughly enjoying a nice cool home just in time for the late summer heat.

I had several quotes, but Brian was the most complete and through. He started by walking the house interior and exterior, inspecting and taking pics of electrical boxes, minisplit locations, and the attic. He explained everything about the equipment stats, installation, and timetable. Even after the initial quote, he responded to all my questions. I had the quote within a day or two!

Brian and his team were fast, efficient, professional, and yet flexible when they installed four Mitsubishi heat pumps in our home. I talked to many HVAC installers to get quotes for this project. Of all of them, Brian was the most patient and good-humored about answering my many questions and educating me on how things worked, and he rolled with my ideas and changes. He also provided the most reasonable price overall and was knowledgeable and yet honest about the rebates we might get. His installers didn't mind me shadowing them and getting involved as they started opening up walls and installing lines, and were patient enough to let me replaster and re-wallpaper one of the walls before they completed the install. I highly recommend Air System Solutions and would enthusiastically work with them again.
