I hired them to re-plumb our bathroom plumbing system and met Javier. He was really capable and performed the full project in a short period of time. What I like the most is that he worked quickly and cleanly in our bathroom. I will continue to use this firm.

These guys are awesome. I'd give 10 stars if I could. I called Cal on the day after we moved in. He came out in the afternoon and gave us an amazing price. The guys showed up at 9am next day, worked for 12 hours. Put in two furnaces and condensers for our new 4500 square feet house. We are all cool now. Oliver, William, David and Calixto are absolutely awesome. We highly recommend them.

Cal Plumbing sent Dave Ontiveros to work on our waterline for the fridge and it is phenomenal! First he was able to efficiently locate the pipes and minimizing the cut to the dry wall. He also fix the atrocious job created by the previous plumbers whom failed at their job. Dave is extremely proficient and highly recommended for your plumbing needs.

My A/C wasn't working correctly and of course, trying to find a repair service who can fit you into their schedule on Labor Day Weekend in August is quite challenging! But Cal actually answered my call and came over that same morning. He was very professional and honest - he initially thought there might be a leak which would have been considerably more expensive, but ultimately determined that the problem was that we were long overdue on changing our filter! I was a little embarrassed but he kindly bought us two new filters while running his tests to confirm that there was no leak, and charged a very reasonable rate - no extra fees for coming on a holiday weekend. I would definitely call him again for any future issues.

Cal plumbing was awesome! This was unbelievable service. They replaced my old cracked toilet the same day I called for service. The serviceman, Oliver, went out to more than one warehouse to send me pictures and specs so that I could select my new toilet. The job was completed under 2 hours and the bathroom was left spotless.

David was great. He came on this me and was super quick. Nice and friendly he was vary professional. He was nice and polite he addressed the situation right away.will be calling them if I ever need my plumbing done again. Call them they are great!

Great experience! The company our home warranty first assigned to our claim lost our appointment. In the midst of a mini heat wave here in Southern California, these guys had a Saturday afternoon appointment available. William from Cal Plumbing was polite and went above and beyond to get our AC unit up and running again!

Cal Plumbing was referred to us under our home warranty. We discovered black mold on the carpet in our daughter’s room and we couldn’t figure out where the moisture was coming from as it didn’t seem to be an obvious leak. Due to the mold issue, Cal Plumbing prioritized our home and gave me a one hour window of time the day we called. I received a call from the plumber, David giving me a heads-up that we would arrive shortly and within the window of time quoted. David was friendly and patient over the phone as I briefly explained the matter. He arrived 15 minutes later and immediately started investigating. He discovered where water/moisture was entering from the outside and took the time to walk me through what was happening. While this was outside of his area of plumbing, he was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommending a path forward that included having the area tested and treated for mold and then advised how a contractor could stop water from entering our home. I found Cal Plumbing to be patient, friendly, knowledgeable and above all...helpful!

After having some issue with our heater in our house we were lucky to find Cal Plumbing and Heating to repair our ducts .
When David arrived he immediately crawled under the house and checked all the vents and ducts and found the issue . David gave me several Options and was willing to work with our budget to get the job done .

We had another company out to check the problem and all that guy did was hold his phone in front of the heater and said he couldn't fix it.

David and Oliver were friendly , helpful, and did an amazing job fixing our system. They took away all the old ducts and made everything look clean and new. If You need any HVac work done, Cal will be the first people I call.

I received prompt email and text notifications with my appointment status, which I appreciate. My appointment time slot was 8am-10am, and David O. arrived at 8am, which I appreciate.

I needed a leak under my kitchen sink to be looked at, and he found the issue to be the garbage disposal (which I had anticipated). I let him know that I was using a home warranty, and with that, he let me know my different options of different disposals. I did not feel pressured to make any particular decision, and I appreciate his integrity and great knowledge. Would definitely call them again! David is great!

Arturo from Cal plumbing & heating INC answered call promptly and arrived at 9 am on a Monday morning during this heat wave. My air conditioner evaporator coil pan was leaking so we couldn’t use ac. He fixed it within 30 minutes, price was reasonable. He was very knowledgeable, kind and explained everything. I will use this company for future issues. Cal was a pleasure to work with, was very detailed and honest in his recommendations, and gave me a great deal on a nice mini-split heat pump. I also really appreciated that he stopped by during the install to check on things. Oliver and David did an excellent job with the install and took their time and went the extra mile to install a metal cover for the refrigerant lines that looks great. Overall I would highly recommend Cal Plumbing & heating to anyone.

Our toilet was constantly running the water due to the overflow tube being broken at bottom of tube. Saw Cal working at neighbor's home and asked him to take a quick look. He did and quoted me a fair price and left. I called back later (after checking other companies in the area who turned out to be a rip-off) and set up an appointment.

William came with the needed parts and sorted it out in no time at all. Showed me the broken part and the rebuilt toilet works great now. Fast, Efficient, Friendly, Reasonable, and Local! Easiest 5 stars I've ever had the privilege of awarding here on Google Reviews!

This is going to be a two part review of Cal Plumbing and Heating. The first part is a short, quick recommendation while Part 2 explains, in depth, the rationale behind Part 1.

Part 1: Cal Plumbing & Heating was extremely punctual, professional, and cost effective on two separate occasions. The owner personally came and worked on my furnace fixing it in short order. When I had to subsequently replace the unit, his employee was equally efficient and professional. My experience with other companies was not good (see part 2), so I was extra cautious with Cal. He delivered and I cannot recommend his company more highly.

Part 2: When our furnace originally started blowing only cold air, we contacted a company via Angie’s for service. They came the next day, identified the problem and told us the part would take 10 days and the repair would cost $650. We waited, with only a space heater for warmth, until they returned to install the part ten days later.

This technician, different than the original one, seemed uncertain about what he was doing, spending a great deal of time on his phone asking questions about the install. After more than an hour, he told us that he was going to have to take both the old and new parts back to the shop for troubleshooting.

Hearing nothing the next day, my wife called later in the afternoon to find out when we might have heat. She was told that they were quite busy and wouldn’t get to troubleshooting until the following week and it would be okay if “she found someone else”. That is when we called Cal Plumbing and Heating.

The owner himself arrived the next morning, assessed the problem, and said the missing part, which our first company still had at their shop, had likely “fried the motherboard”. Now we needed two parts! He said he had them both at his shop and could put them in that afternoon for $250. We enthusiastically agreed. That evening we had heat for the first time in 12 days.

The next morning, however, the furnace once again provided only cold air. A call to Cal had a replacement company, Cal was vacationing for the Christmas holidays, at our door the following morning. Yet another part had gone bad, this time to the tune of $450. The new company fixed it, but expressed concern over the gas valve, just about the only original part remaining, and suggested we replace it to reduce the delay in the heat cycle. We declined and enjoyed heat for the rest of the day and into the next. Alas, the furnace once again stopped producing heat.

We chose to wait until Cal returned from his vacation to address this new issue. When he arrived, he confirmed that the gas valve was creating problems and needed to be replaced. At this point, he counseled us that the heat exchanger also had significant build-up/corrosion. He said it could last another two years, but might only last two months, and suggested it might be a good time to replace the 38 year-old furnace.

While it was almost ten times the original repair, we agreed to having him install a new, modern, efficient unit in two days time. He arrived with a second technician, well within the target time range we had arranged, and immediately got to work. The tech worked a little over an hour to remove the old unit and install the new, making adaptations to the duct work in the process, while cleaning as he went. Cal returned at the end of the install to ensure all worked as promised and answer any questions we might have about warranty’s or unit function.

We couldn’t be happier with our new furnace and the service we received from Cal Plumbing and Heating. Had Cal returned after the furnace failed a second time, I believe we would have had the discussion about replacing the unit at that time rather than later, but that was a decision influenced by a lack of heat during the holidays.

We have found our local and go-to plumber in Vista, CA! Great experience working with Cal Plumbing and Heating INC and we will be calling them for all of our plumbing needs. Honest owner and workers. Fair pricing. We hired Cal to perform work on our water and sewer connections at our house. David came first to do a camera inspection, and he was helpful and informative. We will be requesting his return to perform a cleaning of our system. Afterward, Arturo and Luis completed the work pertaining to the sewer and water connections. It was a lot of work and they were able to finish everything in one day. Both plumbers were very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and genuinely concerned that we were going to be happy with the work. We are very happy! We did have trouble getting in contact with Cal at one point, but he remedied that quickly by scheduling our work to be completed early the next day so it was a non-issue. All in all, outstanding owner and workers at this company. We are grateful for them and the quality of work they completed. Thank you, Cal, Arturo, Luis, and David! Por cierto, también son bilingües. Cal and his team completed two projects for us: 1, a full replacement of our HVAC system 8 months ago just after we purchased the house and 2, full home repipe of water lines. I waited on the review to go through both heating and cooling needs for the house. What they came into with the house was a home that had been neglected and outdated. What they left was a beautifully crafted HVAC system that exceeds our expectations. The plumbing was high quality and gives us peace of mind we won't have to worry about a Slab Leak. Everything they did was top notch and when we had questions during the installation and questions after we moved in, they were very responsive. I highly recommend Cal Plumbing and Heating.
