They gave us suggestions that were great and improved the overall look & function of the unit. They were on time daily and kept the work area very clean and organized. JD completed a small kitchen remodel in our home. We kept the footprint the same, but replaced all of the cabinets as well as a stovetop for a stand alone stove/oven.
Jesus and Jessica got us started letting us know a place to make selections for countertop and backsplash. We pre-purchased all of the appliances and hardware before the job started to alleviate any delays with the process.
The demolition, framing and installation of everything ran smoothly. JD construction was good communicating with the city and us for permits that would be pulled and inspections being done.
Jessica and Jesus were easy to communicate with and did their best to answer any questions we had. Overall we are very happy with our new kitchen and have enjoyed some of the features new to us…like a pantry!

ID General Construction just remodeled our kitchen, bathroom, family room and relocated/upgraded our electrical sub-panel. They all look better than we could have ever imagined! We contacted 5 contractors for bids. We chose ]D for several reasons: They we're very responsive from the initial contact and throughout the entire process; their bid was very competitive to any budget; they were available to start when we were ready; and our project manager, Jesus, also an excellent licensed electrician, was truly amazing. You can't find anyone as honest and knowledgeable as him. There wasn't an obstacle him and his team couldn't tackle. He took the time to really find out what we wanted and guided us through the process and produced amazing results. Him and his team were very patient and receptive with whenever we had questions or changes as long as we were happy. We highly recommend JD General Construction and will definitely use them again and again.

Jesus and his team transformed my old outdated kitchen and my entire home into a sanctuary. The main project was to take my tiny kitchen and transform it into a modern open plan by combining three rooms into one. Everything in the home was updated - kitchen, bathrooms, floors throughout and he even added a new door and deck so I could enjoy my backyard right from my bedroom.Everyone who sees the transformation is amazed! It’s all so beautiful I hardly ever want to leave my home.

Jesus knew the challenges of the many many permit requirements in my area and ensured that we could pass inspection without excessive costs. My project involved exterior wall changes and load bearing walls so it wasn’t just a simple refresh. He took over from a different contractor and recognized where we could improve the plans and save time and money. Jesus blew me away with his commitment to meeting my tight schedule. He had me back in my house before I expected.

For me energy is everything. I take the energy of my home seriously and I don’t just let anyone into my space. I knew from the moment I met Jesus that I could trust him and I was right. Seriously the BEST experience we have ever had with a contractor. These guys pay attention to detail and go above and beyond for their clients. I was in constant communication with Alfredo and his team which was a huge plus because our job was so big. We love them so much that we are already planning another project. .

My house had leaking problems causing wood rotten, molding. The stucco has to be tear down in order to replace the rotten wood. We also want to paint the whole exterior. Such makes it a big project for us. We wished to hire someone who is professional and responsible and we found the right person. Alfredo leading his team did a great job. Alfredo arrange everything smoothly. The team members are professional and caring, step by step. I’m very satisfied with their work. Especially the painting work. Alfredo and team were amazing. They did extensive work on our house replacing windows and resealing due to water damage. They then painted our house. They did a great job.

Since that Alfredo has always been super responsive to when random things have gone wrong with my house. When some water was leaking he found someone same day, same for when a roof was leaking.

QPS Inc. was referred to us as we were struggling to find a contractor that gave us confidence that they could handle our project. Our project was to reinvigorate and modernize our first home, which we’d just bought. This home is over 100 yrs old and we wanted to ensure that the work only added to its beautiful historical charm.

We had identified several things that we wanted to do to our home. See list below.
OUTSIDE:
- reinforce the foundational structure of our detached garage.
- rebuilt the Juliette balcony floor, improved it’s drainage system, and installed custom metal railings to modern code standards.
- rebuilt the wooden hand rail for the outside staircase to modern code standards and painted as if original.
- rebuilt brick front porch steps to even out the step heights and bring to modern code standards
- had custom curved metal railings fabricated and installed on front steps.
- installed gutter guards on all roof gutters.
- installed new chimney caps.
- home is a Georgian style with red face brick on the outside with wooden trim. QPS repointed and regrouted all the face bricks with bright white lime stone. This was a lot of work, but it looks incredible - get so many compliments!
- painted all wooden trim on the exterior.
- installed French drains to improve the drainage in the front of the home.
- installed gas lines outside for BBQ and fire pit.
- reinstalled and fixed the landscaping irrigation system.

INSIDE:
- replaced entire HVAC and air duct system throughout the home. Added an additional vent to the master bedroom and added another return to improve the efficiency of the system. Installed smart thermostat controller for system.
- new air ducts required larger space to run in the walls and QPS made them wider without affecting any of the detailed historical trim thereon - magicians!!
- opened up a wall between the kitchen and breakfast nook and made it look as if it was always like that.
- redid the powder bathroom and installed new toilets in all the bathrooms.
- built two new closets in the master bedroom to replicate the existing ones on the other side of the room to create a “his & hers” set of closets.
- built shelving into all the closets in the bedrooms to modernize them.
- replaced all the insulation in the ceiling.
- built a beautiful fully finished & permitted laundry, and gym in the basement.
- replaced water heater with tankless.
- refinished all the hardwood floors and staircase railing, installed new stair runner on stairs.
- installed new carpets in finished basement den and stairwell.
- closed up all holes in the walls and repainted everything beautifully!!!
