David Darmany is an exceptionally knowledgeable and skilled expert in the rug cleaning industry. Exceptional results and customer service. I lost all hope on having a beautiful oriental rug cleaned. Another company that is well known steam cleaned my rug after waiting approximately four weeks and they charged me a lot of money to clean it, only to deliver the rug in worse condition than it was when they first picked it up. I thought that there was nothing left to do until I researched the Internet and came across David Darmany‘s company and read outstanding reviews.
I could tell instantly from speaking to him on the phone that he knew his industry better than most. He was very generous with his time and extremely courteous. I scheduled an appointment with him several days later, to have him look at the rug and assess the damage. I am extremely grateful that I found his listing because he restored the rug to its original condition. It now looks as beautiful as it did when it was new and odor free. When all hope was lost, David came through! This was extremely important not just visually, but from the relief of it being odor free because I have allergies and the odor it was emitting previously was causing me sinus issues. If you have any doubts as to whether he is a viable resource, please let me assuage you of those concerns. He is worth contacting and can do wonders for rugs that are important both decoratively, or as family heirlooms. What I found most interesting was that although I thought my rug was in extremely bad shape from an odor standpoint, he actually said that compared to other rugs that he has cleaned for other clients my rug was in a lot better shape than most rugs he restores.

I inherited 4 rugs that needed lots of cleaning. David picked them up, told me what kind of rugs they are (which I really appreciated), cleaned them, returned them and literally helped me place them by moving furniture for me. All for a reasonable fee. I’m so grateful for everything!

It is so refreshing to find someone that is passionate about what they do! Add to that David is a master craftsman in the art of Persian Rug weaving and repair. We had Darmany clean 4 rugs and repair a tear in one of them. It can be very stressful in trusting someone with a family heirloom/expensive investment. David and his team were very professional and attentive from pickup up to drop off. Had we not taken a picture of the tear you would not believe there was one!

I was very nervous to have this rug cleaned because it has tremendous sentimental value. But it lives in a high traffic area of the house and was very darkened and covered with stains. David did a FANTASTIC job cleaning it. It's amazing to see it in such great shape and looking so bright, hasn't looked this beautiful in years. David clearly knows his stuff and works very hard. Grateful we found him! The reviews are true. He's awesome.

We have used Darmany to clean and repair our vintage Middle Eastern rugs and have been very happy with the results. David is so knowledgeable about the history of rugs and the best way to repair them. The most recent example is a Turkish Konya Ladik prayer rug that was in very bad shape, due to mishandling on our part. You can see the amazing repair job from the before and after photos. Overall excellent experience. David is a highly trained Persian rug expert, easy to work with, and was accommodating every step of the way. Rug was picked up and delivered, and they even helped move furniture. The rug, cleaned for the first time in 50 years, practically glowed. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this company enough. I have two very treasured large area rugs that were investment pieces and they are the only firm in the LA region that I would trust to clean them (we have 3 dogs and one can climb over gates). Their cleaning processes take time but it is worth the wait. 5 Stars!!

David provided fantastic service and results at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend going to him. I contacted Darmany Rugs to have two rugs cleaned. David gave me the estimate the same day and was able to pick them up the next day. I had the rugs cleaned before and knew David’s quote was very reasonable. He noticed some moth damage and shared his knowledge of solutions to keep them at bay. I felt the rugs were in good hands which was confirmed when he returned with beautifully cleaned rugs.

I have used Darmany to clean and repair all the rugs in my house, given I travel a lot, he has been incredibly accommodating for payment and pickup given I travel frequently for long times on end. His work is amazing and should be sought by all!

AMAZING SERVICE! Door to door. David is knowledgeable and experienced and frankly has the attention to detail of an artist. This is my first time owning a persian rug and I didn’t know where to start- but David not only cleaned our rug, he was able to tell us the age of it and its origin - 1940s from the border of Iran. It is a Persian Mashad. The before and after of the rug is insane, we thought we had something really special when we first got it but after David has cleaned it, it’s clear we have an heirloom on our hands. The clean rug is softer than most of my own clothes, and that is not an exaggeration. When he dropped it off, he gave us advice on orientation in our home and instructions of how to care for it/vacuum it. We will not only be taking this rug to him every five years for restoration/cleaning, but we are planning to bring all of our other rugs to him as well. Five stars! I have attached the before and after photos, the before photo is the one in our driveway. You can see how dull it was. The after photos are the ones in our home. night and day difference!

I had an area rug that was rolled up and in storage for almost a year while I renovated my house. When I unrolled the carpet, there was a horrible stench in the rug. Darmany cleaned the rug, removed stains, and completely got rid of the smell. The initial call, estimate, pick up, and drop off experience was hassle free and reasonably priced. Darmany Rugs did a wonderful job repairing the damaged fringes and edges that had become worn and unraveled on my mother-in-law’s Persian rug, as well as removing stains from dog urine. We were impressed with David’s expertise and expansive knowledge on the origins of all her rugs.

I looked and looked for a rug cleaning place that specialized in Persian rugs, as I was recently given one. I found these guys on yelp and based on the great reviews, figured I would give them a shot. I am beyond happy! They came and picked the rugs up and delivered them back to my home when they were done. David was extremely nice and helpful!! Couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be a return customer! :)

This is the second time David has done the jmpossible restored a rug that we didn’t think could be saved. We first were introduced to David through an interior designer friend when the dogs had shredded several sections of a very expensive rug that we had purchased about a year earlier. Where others told us it couldn’t be fixed and tried to sell us a new rug or the guy who could repair it but the repairs were going to cost more than the price we paid aka tried to sell us a new rug. Enter David ergo came up with a solution that made sense would cost a reasonable amount and not only did he have the rug back to us in under two weeks but he had provided us with back up pieces of rug in case we ran into the same problem again.

Our more recent experience involved a silk Persian rug that had for nearly 50 years been in the entryway of home and hadn’t been cleaned professionally in half a century. David took the time to tell us about this rug and how the quality of this rug (900 hand tied knots per square inch) and about the rug maker it was signed ) and why we should have it cleaned and not get rid of it. When David brought the rug back we were shocked at how beautiful this rug truly was and we honestly aren’t the biggest fan of more traditional rugs like this one. A total transformation a return to how it looked when it was new only because Dacid had took the time to personally work on this very delicate ans intricate rug which was filthy and covered in strain (we thought it was gray l when in fact it was mint green and cream) for hours ans hours until it was perfect..
For any rug you own that needs to be cleaned. Repaired or restored you need not call anyone else aa David is the BEST there is.

This company was amazing! We had some beautiful rugs that were pretty stained from having pets over the years. They were able to get every urine stain out and the carpets look good as new! The team helped us place the carpets and move furniture. Outstanding service will definitely be using them and highly recommend!

David is a gracious guy and master curator! I hired him to clean and repair a couple rugs. He picked up and delivered back and placed them perfectly. He heard I was looking for a rug in my dining room and later came by with several choices and I was able to get the perfect one. After the Palisades fire he immediately came to pick up my rugs, clean and store them for 10 months while my house was being repaired and cleaned. Then he delivered them back with some more rugs for my to see for my hallways, entry, and den and again all perfect fits. He's amazing!

From pick up to return delivery, we were very happy with the service. Our rugs have never looked better! We had two large ones cleaned and a smaller one cleaned and repaired. All three look brand new! Staff is extremely knowledgeable and professional. We are not wealthy, but they treated our home and furnishings with respect and dignity. The service is pricey, but worth every penny. We felt this was an investment in the longevity of our rugs and after 20+ years a cleaning was in order!
