We had Sheffield finish our basement. David, Jason, and the rest of the team were incredibly professional, and led us through all the steps to be sure we were able to get the basement we wanted. They conducted a thorough prep of the basement to look for problems/issues before the work began to let us know of any hiccoughs that may arise. The app with the schedule and the daily updates with pictures were awesome. They stayed on time and on budget. We love our new basement!

Sheffield Homes finished our basement and absolutely did a beautiful job. They have a web site where you can ask questions, see your design choices, and look at the construction schedule. They were wonderful to work with, all the contractors were very respectful in this COVID19 era. They were on schedule and everything they finished exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend them.

Our construction manager, Jason, was in close contact with us and ran a great crew. All of the trades were skilled. The electrical, framing and plumbing crew were the best - and that's the foundation!

Sheffield Homes did an amazing job finishing our large ranch basement! It is now the desired area in our house to hang out, consisting of a bedroom/bathroom, large play area for our toddler, game room with ping pong and pool table, media room with a projector and theater seating and a wet bar. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and the team was wonderful to work with. We recommend Sheffield Homes to anyone who mentions wanting to finish their basement. I couldn't be more happy with the results from Dave and the team at Sheffield homes.. They finished our basement and several other remodel projects. The basement included the removal of a hot water system, the installation of a tankless system, adding of a wet bar, and adding a bathroom. They provided outstanding customer service and workmanship. Not only did they keep the project on budget, they were able to manage suppliers and contractors in a way that ensured no delays even in this time where most builders experience worker and supply shortages. I would recommend Sheffield Homes to anyone who is looking for a home remodel contractor and wants to make sure it's done right the first time

We got our basement finished with Sheffield Homes and they did a great job. We worked with David, Tom and Jason and all of them were great.
David is super responsive and returns your call immediately. We had some issues with cabinet design selection and realized that it was not
as per our expectation and the vendor told us that it was too late to change the design but when we communicated this to David, he was on top of it and immediately pulled the order and asked the vendor to correct it. We really appreciate David for his commitment to go the extra mile.
The only thing that we think can be improved is time to complete the project. It took more time than we initially thought but at the end we are very happy with the workmanship and quality of the basement. Thanks David!!!

We chose Sheffield after reading many of the reviews here, and were definitely not disappointed! From the moment David helped us get started to Tony our Project Manager leading us through step by step everything was done professionally and on time. Hearing all the horror stories of projects gone wrong (especially during the pandemic) from people using other companies we were grateful for everything Sheffield did. And of course the basement is better than anything we could've imagined! Would highly recommend!

Sheffield Homes recently finished our basement and they did a very professional job. They published a day by day schedule so we could easily track what was next to be completed in the project. The deliverables of the project were all met on time and in some cases ahead of schedule. Our experience with the Sheffield employees was equally good. Our primary two contacts were extremely responsive, there was one mistake where the counter top finish selected was mixed up between the bathroom and wetbar area. They quickly addressed that issue and the counter tops we selected were re-installed shortly after the problem was discovered.It was easily to see that they stand behind their service and will address any issues quickly. We would highly recommend Sheffield Homes if you are consider finishing your basement.

After doing some research and checking other companies to finish our basement we decided to go with David Lewis at Sheffield Homes. We toured a basement that David did in our neighborhood and saw the quality of the work and also got feedback from the home owners. Start to finish David and his team were on time, clean in their work, always communicating with me during the process. This communication was very important because I travel during the week and couldn't be there throughout the process. Sheffield recently finished my basement. From start to finish, I felt that the company communicated with us very well and were easy to get in touch with when needed, as well as willing to work with us when aspects of our project needed to change. Felipe, our site manager, was wonderful about keeping us informed about what was going on and what if anything was needed from us. We were nervous about having construction done while we were living in the home, but it was a fairly painless experience and I love that our privacy was respected by all involved. The resulting basement is beautiful and we look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

Sheffield Homes has turned our unfinished walk-out basement into a totally beautiful and functional space to hang out. The basement finish has included an open staircase to match the main level, bar and entertaining area with pool table, exercise area, large bedroom with full bath, additional half bath and workshop area for storage. Dave Lewis helped us come up with an excellent floor plan and was awesome to work with. Everything stayed on schedule and the workers were very respectful of my home. Dave is extremely responsive and was a pleasure to work with. Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish, and I would highly recommend Sheffield Homes for any home remodel project.

We used Sheffield to build our home and had a great experience. They were very detailed during the design process and then through the build. House was finished ahead of schedule and turned out beautifully. They have also been very helpful with little issues that have come up since we moved in. Would definitely build with Sheffield again.

After twenty some years leaving our walkout basement unfinished, we started looking for finishing options. We received bids from four other contractors and choose Sheffield Homes over the others because of their project plans, the timing of all the phases, and their long-term partnerships with their sub-contractors. It has been the best decision we could have made. As a professional in the construction trades for over 60 years, Danny found Jeff, our project manager, to be one of the most professional and knowledgeable that he has encountered. All the trade partners were professional and did an amazing job. Everyone who has visited our new basement has said “WOW!!” before pointing out what they like the best.

I'd give them 6 stars if I could. In my opinion, this is the best place you'll find to refinish your basement or anything else. The reasons I chose to go with Sheffield were the fair prices, timeline, model and Dave Lewis happily & promptly answering what seemed to be 100 questions on my end. Not many places give you that much attention. Dave and Felipe are the dream team, I can't say enough good things. They are both attentive, have integrity and actually care that you are getting the best product possible.

Given that the market is crazy right now, Sheffield is still able to make their timelines and keep you posted every step of the way. It is a very collaborative process, but they handle everything. They also go above and beyond their call of duty. Felipe was here the other day and offered to help me move a couch that movers had left stuck in our stairwell. That is not the first favor he has done me.

After the process is over, Dave and Felipe are still available if I notice anything small that needs to be fixed and deal with it immediately. I highly recommend using these folks.

Sheffield Basement Finish was a great choice for finishing our basement, and they were very competitively priced. Not only were they great to work with, but the job was professionally done and finished early! Our representative David Lewis was superb to work with and was always available even though he had many jobs he was overseeing. He made sure that our every need was met to our standards! I lived in my prior Sheffield home for over 20 years and loved it, I was the 2nd owner. After the Marshall fire, it was a fast decision to choose Sheffield as my builder. I'm thrilled I did. The new builds are fabulous and high quality, with so many upgraded standard options from previous homes--all granite counters, engineered wood floors, huge Primary bathrooms, showers, closets, kitchen breakfast bar, large sliding glass door, basement bar, high ceilings, tiled fireplace, tiled bathrooms, recessed lighting throughout. I picked a small model (due to underinsurance), and was able to customize as much as I wanted. All choices were mine, both inside and out. I added some decorative trim to the exterior and it's charming. I was also able to do energy upgrades like a heat pump for heating and cooling and an electric vehicle charger--things I think are important for the environment.

Bob and Jason on the construction side are excellent as are Nicole, Mariana and all others at the office. Everyone is responsive to questions and concerns and there is a website with all house specs, finances, etc, so much information and the ability to contact everyone.

The process of rebuilding after the fire was overwhelming, and Sheffield made it as smooth as possible. Once the framing is up and you see the structure of your house, it's ongoing excitement as roof, cabinets, counters, floors, lighting are added.

I can highly recommend Sheffield as a great builder, and if you use them, I'm sure you will be very happy with your new home!

We contracted Sheffield to finish the basement of our newly purchased home. From start to finish they have been fantastic! David Lewis and Jason Gordon helped us layout the perfect design and then executed beautifully. We just moved in and love every inch of this incredible space. We hired Sheffield to finish our basement. Every step of the process was painless and they dealt with all of the stress of COVID with ease. Jason, our project manager, was always available via phone or text if we had questions and he stopped by at least once a week to ensure that his team was still on track.

We also had to do all of our selections via zoom due to social distancing, and we were very happy with that experience as well.
