Our backyard needed a lot of work, including a installing a new fence, patio, and fully re-grading. The team at Highland’s Landscaping completely transformed it! The Project Manager was so thorough, considerate of our budget, and extremely communicative. They did such a quality job and everyone has taken notice who has seen our new backyard. Will work with them again without question on any future projects!

Highlands was prompt with its initial visit, its walk-through, and its work. When an actual laborer with the consultant on a second visit, he pointed out issues the consultant had not spotted, thus avoiding many potential problems. Throughout the job (building a retaining wall, clearing soil of gravel, and regrading the surface), this person consulted and checked with the property owner to ensure understanding about inevitable snarls and about price changes. Furthermore, when something did not suit me, the company made a specific extra visit to the site to set it right. Excellent customer service.

Highlands landscaping replaced my aging fence and re-andscaped my yard. They were prompt, communicated proactively, and did great work! Would highly recommend and will use them for future projects.

We contacted Highlands Landscaping for some work in our back yard to deal with water management as our yard was graded poorly with low points that always flooded when it rained. John Aguilar was great with designing a solution utilizing a French drain, downspouts to mushroom drains, and raising the low points to redirect water via French drain to the front of the house. Once work began, the project manager Salvador Fernandez was great about communicating what was being done each day, and consulting with us when decisions needed to be made on the fly when work was in progress. Will definitely contact them in the future when we are ready for xeriscaping, terracing, and new sprinklers.

We had Highlands do some landscaping at our home this fall to help mitigate future water draining toward our house. Their team regraded around our house, installed a french drain, and buried gutter downspouts. They did a great job! Every step of the process from initial walkthrough, design, final selection of rocks and mulch, and the actual work getting completed was smooth. We'll call again when we have further needs!

Terrible company. New owner Ross has zero landscaping experience and it shows. They are the most expensive in Denver and quality of work is terrible.

I had a great experience working with Highlands Landscaping from start to finish. They installed 5 trees, a number of perennial plants and associated irrigation, A LOT of dirt and rock, and an informal patio. I am a customer that is a bit particular and I ask a lot of questions. They were very responsive at every step of the process and happy to answer all of my questions, from scheduling a walkthrough and quote, to reiterating on the design, to the installation. The landscape estimator provided advice and guidance on the design, and brought up issues that I would not have known about. Their experienced insights were very helpful. The end result was beyond perfect and exactly what we had discussed. Given the current supply issues there were a few changes in the original materials (because we booked in the fall, with installation in the spring) and they were very communicative and found (in my opinion) better alternatives. They set aside more than enough time to finish the project. Everyone I interacted with - from the landscape estimator, to the office staff, to the crew and project manager - was so nice and respectful, clearly a well-organized team, and a pleasure to work with. Highlands Landscaping was recommended to us by two of our neighbors. We did get three quotes and theirs was not the cheapest, but it was the most detailed and I felt like there would be no surprises and that they would be very good communicators with the customer. That was most important to me, and the detailed quote helped us iterate with them on a plan for our budget. Excellent team. Excellent job.

I recently had my landscaping done with Highlands and was very pleased with the results. I worked with John on the design and he was great and listened to all my input as well followed up through the project. The crew was fabulous. They were on time, worked very hard, and accommodated my many requests. They were able to take care of unforeseen issues quickly and came out on budget. I would recommend.

This company is absolutely incredible to work with. I hired Highlands Landscaping to help solve a variety of drainage issues around my house, install a small retaining wall with integrated lighting, and to install a paver stone walkway/patio. The quality of their work and attention to detail is outstanding. But beyond this, their style of communication and sense of professionalism make the company truly exceptional to work with. I won't hesitate to hire this company again for all of my future landscaping needs.

They were great throughout the entire process - John was easy to work with during the planning phase, and the team finished our project in just over a week. Our yard looks amazing. The entire team was easy to communicate with and receptive to us tweaking the design during the landscaping process, and always made sure to check in with us on decisions before making them, which was much appreciated. Before and after photos... This company is good. I would use them again. John was easy to work with right off the bat. Panta was a little difficult, but we got things done with out him. Just FYI...Make sure to print out the first estimate because it will change on their system and you won't be able to find the original. They will make things right.

We had an incredible experience working with Highlands Landscaping! We hired them to remove our previous patio, design & install a new paver patio, re-do the rest of our backyard with a combination of turf, rocks & mulch and install a new portion of our fence. From start to finish John, Nikola, Pantic (and crew) were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were thoughtful, communicative & paid attention to every detail. We could not be happier with the final result! We look forward to continuing to use them for future projects down the road.

They were all very respectful and professional and the crew did an amazing job on the build and cleaning everything up at the end of every day. We are still waiting on having the yard completely finished (sod and planting to be done in the Spring) but so far we have been very happy with Highlands Landscaping. They are very professional and do an excellent job. It took less time to finish everything than they had originally quoted us. They are an investment, but the cost is absolutely worth it, knowing everything was done to a high standard. We are looking forward to seeing how everything looks when it's complete in the Spring!

From the first call and now after a year they are still fantastic! Our project started with John meeting us and talked ideas. Together we came up with a plan.
Our project manager Nikola was and is Fantastic!!! He was here every day during our front and back yard landscaping project. He is so knowledgeable about what needed to be done and really cares about us. They started and finished on time. Then came picking our plants and placement. We meet Brandon. He had amazing ideas, and new all the plants by name, how they grew, and how big they would get, and where to place them. He took us to the plant place for us to pick them out. With his help we have a beautiful yard developing. He also has and continues to take great care of us!
Paublo made sure all our sprinklers for our lawn and drip lines were working great! He takes great pride in his work and making sure our lawn and plants are getting what they need.
We cannot say enough great kudos to our group that took care of us, and continue to take of us.

Highlands Landscaping, Brandon Barch and staff have done an outstanding job on are newly constructed home in Arvada.
The workmanship was bar none and the quality of the trees and other plantings were excellent.

In this world we live in today, it's hard to find a good contractor to work with that is price conscious and does great work.
I'm confident that you will have the same experience as we did!

I contacted this company along with two others to get sod layed in my back yard as it had mainly weeds. Brandon worked with me to get an estimate on how much sod I would need and to determine the best time to do the work (the initial contact was in Feb). We was very helpful with providing a realistic estimate that was about average out the quotes that I got. The determining factor for choosing this business compared to others is their availability to work weekends. After the first estimate Nikolai (Brandon's colleague) was present during the last walk through the go over details. Both very helpful. On the install date, Apr 19th, the crew arrived and went to work. There was a little confusion on the work to be done but it was quickly remedied. What would have taken me months worth of weekends took their crew about 4 hrs to complete. I now have a great looking yard. The price is not cheap, but neither is the work. I got what I paid for.

The Highlands Landscaping team did a fantastic job with our xeriscape project. Brandon was a pleasure to work with and his expert knowledge of plants and eye for design were invaluable. Salvador managed the project flawlessly and kept us informed throughout. Lalo and his team did great work and finished ahead of schedule and below the estimate. After five years of cringing at our mess of a front yard, our house finally has curb appeal that we can be proud of!
