Ernie was an absolute class act. I thought I had a leaky shower drain so I called Ernie to help fix the problem. After some careful detective work he determined it was actually a faulty joint where the hot water stems to my shower valve. He got me on the schedule within a week and knock it out in a few short hours. Worth every penny!

Working with Ernie was great. He listened carefully to my needs and made reasonable suggestions about how to meet them within my budget. He worked diligently to get everything done and did a great job. The man is tireless and his work seems flawless. He even helped me with a small leak I had not seen before!

Ernie did a fantastic job of replacing my outside spigot and two ancient wash machine shut off valves. He was fast and efficient. He has a great personality, and a friendly positive attitude. This all makes inviting him into my home to do work a pleasant experience. I would definitely call Ernie for all my plumbing needs.

This is the second time I've used Ernie and his team. The first time was an emergency where I had a pipe spring a pinhole leak in a wall. (Yes that happens!) He did a terrific job finding the mysterious source of water with logic and skill. The second time was to replace a pressure regulating valve which became a little complicated but Ernie stuck with it and the job is perfect. Honest, reliable, responsive and transparent - I wish all the service providers were this good.

Ernie came to do some re-plumbing for a bathroom remodel. He knows the relevant codes and does good plumbing work.
However, he seemed to us to be quick to go on the defensive if we asked a basic question about what he was doing or why, or offered some guidance on what we wanted. His interactions came across as passive-aggressive stemming from an apparent belief that he knows everything, even what the homeowner wants. That led to mistakes being made. We were also mildly irritated that, while he made a choice to work on a Sunday to get the work done (we specifically told him he did not have to do that), when he caused a leak in the hot water heater (not his fault), he charged us an additional $100 over the normal repair charge because it was Sunday (he said his normal upcharge for that repair would have been $200 and that he was cutting us a break by only charging us an additional $100). As a percentage of his overall bill, that $100 wasn't significant but it was the principle that he decided to bill an upcharge when we had no control over the fact that he had chosen to work on a Sunday.
So I would summarize by saying that people who hire him will get a good plumber but should be prepared for some potentially difficult communication unless they are completely hands-off. If you prefer to use contractors that you can discuss the work with as it proceeds, go with someone else.

Unfortunately my family wrote an unfair review of Ernie and Axis and want to provide my review. I have worked EXTENSIVELY with Ernie over the last 3 years on small projects and major projects at my rental property and I had nothing but amazing experiences with him and his team. He has always been fair on pricing and done impeccable work. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is looking for a reliable and honest master plumber!!

Ernie is absolutely fantastic! He did a tub to shower conversion for my client. Ran into a few issues, but with Ernie he made everything go so smoothly. As the owner of Golden Touch 5280, I had the pleasure of working with him on a last-minute project for my client in Silverthorne. His pricing was quite reasonable, and both the crew and the homeowner had a great experience collaborating with him. Moving forward, I will be using Axis Plumbing for all my clients.
