Have a massive healthy mature tree you’d like cut down for no reason? These are your guys. If you’d prefer a company with better judgement and more integrity...look elsewhere.
The company asked me to reconsider what I have written, so here is what I would add. It's unfortunate that you see no difference between legal and responsible, and hide from the latter by placing its burden entirely on the customer. A more responsible arborist wouldn't agree to cut down 100+ year old trees of rare species without a non-trivial reason, nor conflate such work (and the reaction to it) with regular tree maintenance. I will bring this up with your customer also, but they don't have any more such trees they can legally cut down, whereas other such questionable jobs will likely come across your plate in the future - and I sincerely hope you will reconsider your willingness to undertake them.

I expressed this verbally, but I really appreciate the work that Aaron and Caleb did in taking out that huge old apple tree and cleaning up afterwards. I thought the price to be fair. Another fine piece of work by your company. Thank you.

This team came out in the morning and spent all day cutting down a huge cottonwood tree in my backyard. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and not damaging anything during the removal I highly recommend them.

Couldn't have been happier with the work that Mountain Tree Care did at our house. They cut down an old cottonwood tree that was nestled in next to a fence, the house, our garden, and a bunch of telephone wires. They didn't do damage to anything (I have no idea how they did that). The tree was probably 50'-60' tall. They also trimmed a couple of elm trees for us that were a mess. They did exactly what we asked, with very little guidance which made getting things tidied up painless at a reasonable price. Very professional, efficient, and easy to deal with.

Mountain Tree Care did exceptional work for us, pruning mistletoe from our Ponderosa pine trees. We have a cherished tree growing through our deck that is seriously infected and now it's gorgeous - they went through every single branch to clean out the mistletoe. They both worked very hard and stayed longer than we thought they were going to. Our trees look beautiful and we really appreciate it.

I have known and worked with Aaron/Mountain Tree Care since 2006. We have had Aaron and his crew prune, remove entire trees, grind stumps and provide advice/planning for all our trees. Aaron is professional, articulate, honest and just a really nice person. I was so impressed when I watched Aaron and his crew remove a huge dead cottonwood with surgical-like precision by dropping it perfectly between 2 buildings, smaller trees/shrubs and irrigation lines. The tree literally exploded upon hitting the ground - underscoring how important it is to stay ahead of these types of trees when they begin to decline. And...they always leave the job site sparkling clean! I highly recommend Aaron and Mountain Tree Care!

I've been using Mountain Tree Care for over 5 years now. The members of their team are very polite, and knowledgeable. They go about their work enthusiastically and responsibly. After trimming the trees and grinding stumps they clean up and you would never know they were here.

I have six trees over 30 years old that need the work (2 Ash trees, 2 Apple trees, 1 Silver Maple, and 1 pear).

I'll continue using them.
