This is the third time we've used Blue River and have been very satisfied with their work on each job. They are knowledgeable, professional, and considerate, with a crew that works well together and is easy to communicate with. The last tree they cut for us was a tall Blue Spruce in our yard. Not only did they bring down the top eight feet so we could use it as a Christmas tree but insisted on trimming the base and the bottom branches so we could get it in our Christmas tree stand. That's the kind of service you don't forget. I would recommend them to anyone.

The Blue River team was so great to work with, from project management to on-site arborists! We received prompt estimates and communications throughout the planning stages. The crew arrived on time and were so professional and friendly. We've already recommended Blue River to several of our neighbors who are looking for tree care services!

The staff and arborists at Blue River were incredible! The team responded to an emergency down tree situation a few weeks ago, and were not only incredibly efficient and professional, but were extremely reasonable in their cost of services provided. We had the tree stump eventually removed, and we had two additional trees pruned and treated in the last week. I cannot recommend Blue River more! I am so happy we had them out to bid our work, and eventually went with them based on the great advice the arborist gave me on our trees. Thank you to Joshua, Maria and all the guys at Blue River! I totally agree with all the rave reviews above. The Blue River team was professional, friendly, and did a great job meticulously removing a huge tree 3 feet from my house. I had quotes from four different tree removal services and Blue River was the best price. I didn't know what to expect but the team was efficient, respectful and clearly knew what they were doing. And they cleaned everything up before they left! I would absolutely recommend Blue River!

I had a really good experience with Blue River Forestry & Tree Care. They removed a dying ~ 40-foot-tall maple from our backyard. There's not enough space to drive machinery along the side of the house but their skillful team carefully sectioned and removed the tree in a few hours. Furthermore, BR's communication was clear and friendly and the cost was reasonable. I will definitely go with them again in the future.

I've had Blue River come out several times now for tree prunings, tree and shurb removals with stump grinding, and ash tree treatment, and they've been great! Everyone has been super professional and willing to answer lots of questions, and the on-site teams are always really efficient, thorough, and careful. Highly recommend!

I could not be more pleased with Blue River Tree Service! They came out to my home in Arvada, to trim and remove my huge cottonwoods. Everyone from the owner, office staff & crew were wonderful to work with and all very polite. The entire crew worked very safe & were knowledgeable. I was impressed with the clean up after all the trees were trimmed & removed, they did not miss picking up any branches. They were there for 3 days, working all over my yard, leaving my place so clean. Thank you Blue River Tree! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We had an extremely large, extremely dead tree, and getting it removed was a relief. From initial quote to final billing, communication was prompt, clear, and thorough. Price was more than fair for the work.
On the day of removal, five people worked like clockwork all day, cooperating skillfully and efficiently to take the tree apart without harming house or yard. Cleanup was thorough.
We would recommend the company to anyone, and will call them back next time.

We've worked with Blue River several times over the 6 years we've owned our home and they've always been kind, considerate, and true professionals to work with. However I had to take the time to write a review after our most recent interaction. Unfortunately in the high winds we had a very large spruce tree lift up and while thankfully it didn't fall and hit the house it was very precariously leaning in our backyard and its roots were partially erupted. I called Blue River and they had the amazing arborist Josh out almost immediately to take a look. Not only did Josh quickly assess that tree but also seemingly remembered every single tree on our property from his prior visits. Then Kara in the office had the fantastic crew out to remove the tree incredibly quickly and was just such a pleasure to work with the entire time. The team was able to expertly fell the tree which was truly fascinating to watch and clear they had it placed exactly where they wanted it and they did a great job with cleanup afterwards. Obviously losing a tree is never fun but working with the team at Blue River made a stressful situation that much easier.

Blue River Tree Care did an outstanding job of removing our dead, 30-year-old cottonwood tree. The job had many moving parts such as being on the back of a school, working in a small, cramped yard, and avoiding our new fence. Blue River took extra precautions to avoid the school property by changing the plan and machinery they used on short notice. They needed to remove a section of our brand new, cedar fence, but they used great care in both removing and replacing the fence so that you'd never know it was taken down. The climber also did an amazing job of working in extraordinary winds, taking care to remain safe while also keeping the crew below safe, as well as not damaging our property with how and where the cut branches fell. All crew members were friendly and professional, and they even created a stack of firewood for us from the dead tree at our request. Everything was cleaned up beautifully when they left. Kara in the office was always responsive to any request prior to the project date. We highly recommend Blue River Tree Care!

Blue River was amazing from beginning to end! I loved being able to schedule and plan through email. Their communication was top notch and always incredibly quick and professional. I knew what to expect and when to expect it, and I truly felt prepared for their visits.

We received a very detailed quote and plan which was very helpful. Their crew was amazing! They were super communicative, polite, and more than willing to answer any questions we had. They worked very quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after the work was complete and you could tell that they were a team who knew what they were doing and were good at their jobs.

We will definitely recommend their services to others and continue to use them to treat and care for the trees on our property.

Everything was so professional and well done. From the time the proposal was submitted to the clean-up by the crew, I was totally impressed and appreciative. I was able to watch as they trimmed the trees, removed dead ones, and ran the limbs and wood through their mulching machine. Every step was conducted with safety and precision involved. I highly recommend Blue River. Great people to work with!!!!

The team who trimmed my tree was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I had Jimmy, Eric, and Toby work on my ash tree and they did a great job. They worked quick and cleaned all debris afterwards. Jimmy took the time to explain the process and even showed us what ash borer damage looks like. They use the least-destructive means possible for trimming (no spiky shoes tearing into the bark, just ropes). Pricing was reasonable and I’ll definitely be in contact with them in the Spring for more work.

I'm not a customer, I just live in the apartments across from where your men did tree work on April 7th & 8th in Longmont.

If you have a vehicle with the license plate - DXC W06 - these men deserve some praise. We've had multiple companies of all sorts come by to do some sort of work. None have been as professional as these men in the last 4 years. I'm not exaggerating. Our building is filled with families and lots of children. Everytime a business comes by to handle something - it's always LOUD cussing, talking about sexual stuff and non stop smoking/vaping. We have to close the windows EVERYTIME.

These men are the definition of professionals as well as hard workers. Not only did they do their job awesomely, they cleaned up afterwards as well. While that may seem like nothing - it sure means a lot nowadays.

Blue River Forestry & Treecare took down a beautiful, large, but sick tree for us a couple months ago, and their work was so good that we asked them to come back and take care of (trim and shape) another tree which took place yesterday. These guys work together so well; not once did any limb cut or removed seem out of their control. Every branch came down carefully to the ground. The stump of the first tree was drilled out completely. Then they cleaned every up (raking, sweeping, blowing) like nothing big had just happened. They talked with us before and after the work and were the most friendly, professional and helpful guys you could hope for. And the team in the office at Blue River are equally as helpful and approachable. In a short while they’ll be back to provide a treatment for the remaining tree and we’re excited to see how that will help it live and be beautiful for us for years to come. We used Blue River Forestry & Treecare to remove two ash trees that were approximately 40 years old, and I would highly recommend them for your tree care needs. The communication from the beginning was reassuring, the crew was thorough, professional, and it was clear they have fun at their job. How lucky are they? The work was done as described, and the clean-up of the site was perfect. Blue River is highly recommended.

We had a large branch that broke on a maple tree during the recent storm, and that branch was dangling above our porch roof. If it had fallen, it could have done considerable damage. Blue River got an arborist to give us quote within 24 hours and then we were able to accept and get the branch removed the same day. The staff were professional, efficient, and friendly. Great experience and I have already scheduled some additional routine work on another tree.

We had another large tree trimmed by Blue River and we have had another awesome experience. These guys rock. They did a great job, cleaned up well, they are friendly, explain everything, ask for input on any concerns. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!

From our initial visit to the post-service communication, Blue River Forestry and Tree Care was professional, timely, knowledgeable and delightful to work with. Their office teams answered my questions quickly, provided viable options for service, and were pleasant (even fun) to work with.

The crew that came to our house and did the work was pleasant and professional. They took extra care to clean up the areas where they worked when they were finished, and took time to explain the work to me, and to help me understand more about how to take care of my trees long term.

I can't speak highly enough about the experience we had with Blue River. I recommend them without reservation.

The office team was incredibly professional and communicative—I always knew exactly where things stood, what to expect, and when the work would take place. The pruning team was just as impressive. They performed a thoughtful preservation prune, which I really appreciated, and the results speak for themselves. Our apple tree and pine tree have never looked healthier. You can tell they truly care about the long-term wellbeing of the trees, not just the appearance.

Blue River’s service is excellent and I would highly recommend them. It was easy to get them to bid our project, their bid was the lowest price of the bids we received, and they scheduled the work to occur promptly. The team we had for our project was great; they were very polite and friendly, knowledgeable, and cleaned up nicely when they were finished, which was appreciated. Their driver was also very skilled and careful when navigating cars parked close to their project site. I definitely recommend them!

Blue River Forestry ARE THE BEST. Extremely professional, great attention to detail, and very fairly priced. They have taken care of big elm trees in my home for over 10 years. Over the years they have dealt with very complicated situations with the trees being very close to houses in narrow spaces. Big branches (1.5 foot in diameter) of the largest elm broke in December 2025 wind storm. It was a big mess. Again, they did an amazing job cleaning the damage and trimming the tree to give it a good form. Thanks to previous trimming the collapsed branches didn't damage the garage nor the house. They left the yard spotless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
