We looked at several different companies to put in a patio and build a stairway down a steep backyard hill. Aspenwood was by far the most helpful in making our vision come to life. From deciding on materials and colors to helping get approval from the HOA, they were easy to work with. Dakota and Phill were responsive to our questions, pointed out ways to make our vision more functional and delivered a quality product.

I hired Applewood back in May to install a huge pool and full backyard from a new property I purchased. They not the cheapest and far the the most expensive. They did a great job and finished on time and on budget. I highly recommend working with Joshua and his teammates. Thanks Josh

Reached to these guys online to get an estimate and boy it was treat. Never got a call but got a text instead. Anyway it got as far asking for a picture and a video of my back yard, I was like ok? This is odd usually to get an idea what you need at least show up on site see what the actual yard look like and talk to the home owner like most landscapers they get what they actually want. For 3 days there was lapses in communication where I had to say “are you there?”. This is by far unprofessional and unresponsive landscaper I’ve ever spoken to if not texted. They may have the best review by far but if they can’t call you or at least show up at your house I wouldn’t ever consider these guys...

I hired Aspenwood Landscaping to do a fall clean up on a small front and back yard in Castle Rock. When I requested a quote I was given an hourly rate for 2 workers and was told I had to pay a 2 hour minimum which I agreed to. After the service was completed I received an invoice double what I expected to pay. I was charged a $150 dump fee and was also charged an additional hourly rate for a 3rd worker which I did not request.

The quality of work was wonderful and I have no complaints about the job completed but this is simply an unfair way to do business. As a single mom I reached out to this company not knowing much about hiring a landscaping company and needing help. Other customers should be aware…don’t hire this company without getting a written estimate first and be aware that there are additional fees above an hourly rate.

I recently had a paver patio, fire pit, and a pool installed by Aspenwood and everything turned out absolutely wonderful! The quality of work was exceptional and I could tell that the crew members actually cared about the work they were doing. I will definitely be hiring them again next year to redo the landscaping in our front yard.

Very pleasant to deal with super fast response time. From getting here to answering my phone calls when I have any questions! The quality of work is perfect couldn't ask for a better faster landscape company. Josiah is great to work with and his crew are true professionals in there trade.

I took time off work to meet with them, booking with them over a week in advance, and they failed to show up and didn't call. "If the courtship is bad, the marriage is worse." If they can't be bothered to show up on time (or at all) for the initial scope and quote, I don't expect them to be any more diligent when it comes to performing the job itself. Time to move onto the next.

Absolutely love the job they did on my yard. Great customer service and exceeded expectation! Very professional and great communication. Finished the job in a timely manner and had a very wonderful experience with their office manager Audrie. Will definitely recommend them to friends.

Josiah and his crew are great! Great communication, timely, professional. We got estimates for full landscaping and then decided to most of the work ourselves and just needed their help with sprinklers. Josiah offered landscape advice throughout our process and even offered to come back after our sprinkler system was installed to hook up a new smart controller we ordered. Highly recommend Aspenwood!

Josiah and the Aspenwood Landscape team did a wonderful job transforming our backyard into a fully useable space. From the initial design and tweaks along the way, they took what we had in mind and absolutely nailed it! We wanted an open and simpler concept than what the previous owners had done to the yard (train wreck of shrubs and a warped deck) and within a couple weeks, our backyard was brand new. They installed a beautiful paver patio, new sod, a new walkway from the front to the back yard, and a new rock perimeter. They really opened up the space exactly how we imagined it.

They were with us every step of the way and answered all our questions (and re-questions). They were transparent in pricing changes as well as flexible with any unplanned design adjustments. A great group who were always friendly and courteous, superb in their knowledge of landscaping. They were very efficient, always on time, on task, and on schedule. We've actually hired them again for a smaller job and the quality of their work still remains intact.

We highly recommend Aspenwood for all your landscaping needs, it's truly like pushing the "easy" button.

Scam artists and no accountability if your plants die

When they quote you a price for rocks or edging check with Pioneer in Parker before signing anything. They tried to sell me the aluminum edging to separate rocks from the grass for $107 per 10 ft section, then said go to Pioneer and check their prices when I complained. Pioneer sells it to them for $7 per 10 ft section, or you can go to Home Depot and buy one section for $14. I brought it up to Jeremiah, who said, “We do huge jobs and I’m not going to haggle over the price.” Arrogant prick.

They also planted nine shrubs in my yard and gave me a “tree care guide” that read like it guaranteed the plants for one year. Well, eight are now dead and I was told “We haven’t offered warranties for years”. It turns out the tree care guide with the warranty is from Pine Lane Nursery, not Aspenwood, so read all the fine print if you decide to use them. Pine Lane doesn’t honor the warranty if Apsenwood does the planting so go with the nursery to make sure you’re covered.

Bottom line, look elsewhere.

The team demonstrated exceptional dedication and attention to detail. I was particularly impressed with Phill, who was installing the pavers. At one point, he placed a paver down, but after noticing a flaw, he immediately discarded it and selected a better one. This level of care and precision shows their commitment to quality. Fantastic job on my paver patio, team!

Highly recommend this company! They worked with me on my backyard and did sod, rocks, flowers, sprinklers, etc... Josiah walked me through the entire process, his workers were prompt, and they finished on time. The price was fair and I would definitely use them for future work.

Im giving 2 stars due to the fact that the main back porch they poured is fantastic, the main issue i have the the very poor pitching of the ground and rock trim they did. The water flows directly towards the house and not away from the house. They also did not do the sidewalk from the patio to the driveway properly and the earth underneath it is being washed away due to the incorrect ground pitching causing flooding against my house and now the sidewalk is collapsing. I have emailed them and they keep saying they will not warranty the sidewalk but will charge me more money to "fix" the erosion. Very unhappy that they would not warranty their own work within the year of when the work was done. Avoid.

Outstanding job. Their design worked well with good plant recommendations. They came on the dot of 7am on the days they said they would and completed everything beautifully. Local and great people. Pricing similar to others. Fescue grass was a unique recommendation by Josiah and is perfect for our climate.Also good work installing and designing irrigation for new area. Recommend highly.
