Saved me 1000s on a job that was over quoted by other contractors in the area. Also performed the work on a tight deadline which is unheard of in this era. Did a great job.

Poor Communication. I attempted several times to acquire an estimate, and I was told I would get one within a couple of weeks. Chris, it's been over a month, and I’ve been ignored via text, call, and email for the past couple of weeks—super frustrating as a consumer and poor business etiquette.

I’ve worked known and worked with Blue Ridge for several years. They have always been honest, hard working and prompt in replies, a pleasure to work with.

Blue ridge put our floors in and helped build out our unit. They’re team has always been professional and helped our business stay on track and grow into bigger and units.
-
Great service. These contractors are awesome and I highly recommend them. They do residential and commercial. Completed work within time frame and no complaints.
-
Have to change my review. Did a good job but wouldn’t say bang up. Reason for that is you give them a good review ask them to come back to do more work and they ghost you and feed you bull shit every time you get ahold of them.
-
Blue Ridge built my shop and did an excellent job. They were great to work with and the quality was great. I would definitely recommend Blue Ridge. John

Very professional and timely in their response. Never had a bad experience with them and Chris has always been good about answering my questions and pointing me in the right direction for new builds or additions.
-
Great company, honest, trustworthy
It’s rare that a contractor actually does what they say they will do. HIGHLY recommend this company!! Chris was wonderful to work with -
Chris Reid is awful to work with! Never returns calls and makes constant excuses as to delays with your project. Highly unprofessional! Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere for a GC/Non licensed Engineer!

Blue Ridge Contractors has been an amazing company to work with, my interior renovation went just as planned and I was very happy. I will recommend them to all my friends.

Working with Blue Ridge was an excellent experience. They were on time and on budget even with last minute changes made because we wanted to change things up. They had enough experience to know how to bid a project knowing there would be difficulties and changes. They were always welcoming when we went to the job site and even though they had to babysit us and our constant questions it did not pull them off schedule. When issues did come up they treated us respectfully and always fought for us when other contractors seemed to be doing less the a great job for us. I highly recommend working with them. We plan on using them for some home projects in the future as well.

I contacted Chris (the owner) on Saturday, June 8th and informed him of a job we had coming up. I told him we needed engineered stamped plans and a permit pulled for a deck in Divide that will start on Oct 1st.
On August 6th, I send over the rendered drawings for the project.
August 23rd, Chris asked his drafter to begin work on the plans and I reiterated the time-line as we needed a permit before HOA approval.
September 16th, I received an email from the drafter asking if everything looked good. We made a few changes and he got back to me on September 24th.
The plans sent to me on the 24th were not correct and had errors that I spoke with Chris about and he said he was going to get it sent to his Engineer.
On the 25th, I got an email from Chris with a permit application and was told to inform my client that the deck is not "designed" for a hot tub, and if I wanted an engineer involved, it would cost more and take more time, but he didn't tell me how much...
Permit application was signed, notorized, and returned to Chris same day.
On September 30th, I asked Chris for an update and was told Teller needed a Statement of Authority form the homeowner. That was signed, notorized, and returned to Chris on the 1st.
On October 2nd, the Building department rejected the plans Chris had sent in because the plans were not engineered!
I again asked Chris what it would take to get that done and got no response.
Oct 3rd, My client (now very upset about the delay of his project) reached out to Chris and asked for a time-line on engineering. There was no response.
Realizing at this point that I was duped, I hired a new engineering firm to draw engineered stamped plans for the deck.
Fast forward to Oct 11th, I get an email from Chris asking for dimensions of the house and retaining wall. I informed Chris that he had not been in communication with us for over a week and had cost both the homeowner and my company over a month of delay and setbacks.
Chris then informed me that he will be invoicing me for the permit and engineering even though he admits that they are yet to be completed. I told Chris that an invoice is not necessary as the work was not completed and he caused thousands in damages.
On October 22nd, Chris sent an email to my client stating that the plans are now stamped and ready to file with the county and then followed that up with a threat to file a lien on the his property if he is not paid.
DO NOT USE BLUE RIDGE CONTRACTORS FOR YOUR PROJECT!
