From the initial estimate to our questions and final installation, Dr Electric provided us with clear information and options for our EV charging upgrade. Their electrician for our project, Adrian did a thorough job and kept us informed about what was happening. We’d use Dr Electric again for any electrical service needs in the future.

UPDATE 6/10/2022: After my original review, and one star rating, I was contacted by the owner who was determined to make things right. He ordered the correct panel I originally requested and maintained regular contact to let me know the status of the parts on order. As soon as my panel came in, they came over and reinstalled to original requirements. The electricians were friendly and fast. Would I use them again; yeah I'd probably give them another try. I appreciated that they made a concerted effort to make things right (after the 1st 2 trips). I'd say give them a shot, but be explicit about your requirements, make sure they are written down in detail, and check the work before releasing the crew.

OP: I had high hopes for Dr Electric. During the estimate, they took a lot of notes and pictures, but then had no idea what they were supposed to do when they showed up for the job. For what they charge, their work is sloppy and ethics are shady. We paid $3500 to do some light electrical, installing a couple outlets, converting some existing outlets to 120v, and installing a few new light ballasts. The 30A RV box they installed was nothing like what was agreed upon immediately prior to the work, it was a cheap galvanized single outlet box rather than a consolidated box containing the 30A and a 120v. The outlets they installed in my garage were faced with white plastic interior plates, looking terrible and, as the owner conceded, not the proper application. After troubleshooting our garage lights, they quoted my wife, who was present at the job, $800 to replace a few ballasts! She called me, I said no way, and instantly the price dropped to $300. They said there was suddenly a discount on the hardware (over the 5 minutes of the phone conversation). They later returned to fix my outlets, and they still didn't install all the screws in the galvanized faceplates! The worker admitted they screwed it up the first time because that's just what was on the truck. For $3500 (and months of notice before the job), you can get the proper hardware at the Lowes that's a mile from our house. Essentially, they showed up for a job unprepared and just used whatever parts were on hand.

I've had dr. electric to my house once before this. the same tech came, Raymond, that made me feel more comfortable with letting him in. both times he so knowledgeable and honest. last project did take him a little bit of time, 10 minutes. this time was less time then that! for needing an electrition dr electric and Raymond made it a very pleasant experience. I have and will continue to recommend them to my close friends, and everyone!

Everyone was fantastic throughout the process. We ran into a few hiccups throughout the project but everything was met with accountability, ownership and the focus to exceed expectations in every way. I’m happy to know that we have a local company that does everything in their power to put the customer first and explains things in a way that makes it understandable and appreciated. I will be using Dr. Electric for everything moving forward.

I've used Dr Electric for 13+ years and consistently find them to be reliable, competent and customer friendly. Rick and Raymond are professional and explain everything so the customer understands what is being done.

I had a big light that wasn't very bright and wanted to replace it with recessed lights. Everything went well with this company, from the initial phone call, to getting a quote done, to scheduling, and then the install. Also, at the last minute, I had to schedule an urgent vet appointment but Dr Electric was able to adjust and still get me in the day of my appointment. Thank you. I'm very pleased and will be using DR Electric again, in the future.

I had a service upgrade from my original electrical panel to a new 150 amp panel. The panel needed to be moved from an inside wall to an outside wall. Jimmy, Eric and Adrian were the team who performed the work. They were polite and professional. They worked well together as a team. They did everything they could to net damage the tile backsplash in the kitchen and the stucco on the exterior. The installation went smoothly with no damage to our home inside or out. The work passed Regional Building's final inspection. We are happy with the results! Updated 09/15/2025: We had an second need for electrical work after the panel was replaced. Bob and Adrian can out and installed a dedicated circuit to our bathroom. Work was completed in a timely manner and they cleaned up after work was complete. Once again we were happy with the results. All work passed final inspection with no issues.

Eric got here on time and told me he was shooting to finish at 2 o’clock. With my planning and estimating experience, I naturally started the clock. I didn’t mention it to Jimmy when I shook his hand and gave him the check, but they walked out of my garage at exactly 2 o’clock.

Quick work and flexible with options for service! The only drawback is the cost as other places quoted the same amount of work for less of a price. However, from the time it took to get a quote, an appointment and start can completion of the work was phenomenal!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Electric. From my initial call with Deb to Raymond's visit I was patiently listened to.. Raymond is very professional and pleasant and his explanations of what may be causing the problems are clear and concise and left me with a better understanding of what caused my electrical problems and how to resolve them. I wish I'd discovered them years ago. They are simply superb in their service.

Eric and his team from Dr Electric arrived on time and did a fantastic job. He ran 2 additional circuits to our water feature and also cleaned up some work that had been done by a prior electrician. Eric was very courteous and explained what work he had done. Very professional. I recommend Dr Electric for any electric needs.

Quick service (same day as I called) and Raymond was awesome. Diagnosed the issue quickly and was able to fix the issue at a reasonable price.

Raymond was great! He's efficient and really nice. He switched out our broken 2006 florecent kitchen lights with our more modern choice. As we replace lighting through the house, this is who I'll be calling.

Had multiple outlets fail and one of them was sparking so called Dr Electric. So glad i did. Raymond came out and found that an outlet that I had installed years ago had shorted ( i had installed it incorrectly). Such a relief. Raymond was absolutely great. Next time need electrician will call Dr Electric and will ask for Raymond!

Jimmy and Adrian nice and professional! They did an excellent job installing new smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. I will definitely use Dr Electric in the future!

I had an issue with the dryer popping the circuit breaker for the dryer. I called and they dispatched someone the same day. It was Saturday and the problem was figured out right away. It was a professional job all the way. Highly recommend.

Bob was amazing!!! I can't thank him enough! We had lost power to one of our bedrooms and he came and found the problem quickly! He was also very punctual and arrived prior to when we had expected him! He was very kind, honest, and helped explain the situation. Deb was incredible in setting up service urgently. DR electric was outstanding to work with! I called to receive quotes from three different companies, not only did they beat them… They were able to install my electric charger on the very next day! I really enjoyed working with the certified crew on site. They were professional, knowledgeable and went to great lengths to care for my property! Once they were done, they cleaned the job site very well! Would definitely recommend to family and friends!
