Matt and team did a great job adding a sub panel to my (detached) garage and setting me up for an EV charger. They also installed light fixtures and diagnosed a separate electrical issue with ease. They were all very knowledgeable and experienced. Matt will be my go-to from here on out!

MH Electrical is now my go to electrician. I had an urgent issue where my underground electric between garage and the house failed. MH was the only company which even had the equipment to identify the location of the fault. They were responsive, punctual, and very fair priced. They completed the project without a hitch. If you need an honest and skilled electrician - I highly recommend you give them a call.

Matt and Todd helped me set up my new Sauna and they were great to work with. Super responsive and genuinely good people. I screwed up my heater after they installed it and they were quick to come back and help fix it (even though it was 100% my fault)....and they didn't even charge for their time even though they spent a decent amount of time trying to fix it. GOOD PEOPLE!! I highly recommend these guys and will continue to use them for any electrical needs I have going forward.

Great experience, 5-stars, and would hire again. Matt and his team installed four ceiling fan electrical boxes in my home. Matt and his colleague were quiet, on time, and charged a competitive rate. They installed additional mounting support to the electrical boxes ensuring a safe fan install. It took just a couple hours and they cleaned up nicely afterwards as if they were never there. I worked from home and barely noticed them in the house.

I installed the fans myself and they went in without any issues.

I was referred to Matt by some friends, and he did not disappoint. I had received several quotes for the job, and his price was quite reasonable to replace my electrical panel. Him and his partner managed to update it all and then made sure to walk around the house correctly labeling all the new breakers. Friendly, amicable guys who (from what I can tell) did a great job in the time frame expected and at the quoted price. Matt is very professional and definitely the type of person you can feel comfortable with around and in your home.

I’ll start by saying I don’t really post reviews. With that being said, I am usually pretty anxious when hiring contractors as there’s always a horror story, issues with communication, disagreements on scope of a project or end cost and I had none of the above when working with Matt. After meeting with a few contractors in town, I met Matt and discussed options for completely rewiring my entire home located in highland. It was built in 1901 and the existing electrical was down right dangerous. Exposed wiring, overloaded circuits, panel internals exposed to rain etc. Matt’s professionalism and overall demeanor made me feel at ease with choosing him for the project. I wanted everything to pass inspection and voiced my concerns and goals for the outcome of the project. He quickly sent me a quote and we scheduled a time to begin work. Matt and his team worked extremely efficiently and quickly. I had a few additional punch list items that I requested after receiving the initial quote such as removing existing fans, adding exterior lights, and adding interior lighting. All of these were no issues. We discussed possibly having to add some outlets to pass inspection as the home is old, and when inspection time came, we found out that we would not need to include those outlets so Matt reduced his quoted price, all while completing the additional punch list items. Working with Matt was by far the best experience I’ve ever had working with a contractor of my sort. The entire home has been required and passed inspection, including a new 200 amp panel and I am so relieved. I told him I’d be happy to be a reference so if you need to verify his work, speak with him and I’d be happy to vouch for him. 5 stars.

Matt and his team are very knowledgeable, professional and reliable. I had to get my electrical panel replaced and Matt was able to come up with reasonable quote. Matt was top notch! He helped us update our electrical panel, move outlets, install recessed lights. Him and his team were very professional. He was very responsive and timely. He does amazing work. He will be our go to guy for electrical needs in the future. Couldn’t recommend someone more highly.

We chose Matt and Co to swap out our old service panel for a more capable and safer one as well as add in a junction where more power was needed. The level of service and expertise provided by Matt and his team is excellent. Edit 5/31/2024: After my initial 1 star review, Matt reached out and we communicated back and forth for about 45 minutes. He expressed his frustration with my review because he had done everything he had promised to do. This was true, but there was a gray area between both of us and a bit of miscommunication. I was expecting Matt’s associate to perform a proper bid for me, same as I had received from 2 other electricians. Matt’s associate was ready to arrive and complete the work discussed over text. I believe the issue started by communicating prices over text instead of in person. I did change my order on him halfway through but it appeared to have been lost in text when I brought it up at a later date, leading me to believe the change would not affect the price. My frustration with MHE was not paying for a service fee, but rather with how much it cost. I expressed this to Matt in our conversation to which he offered to reimburse me $125 for the service.

All in all, I still believe the MHE is a good company based on reviews I have read (that is why I called them in the first place). Matt was frustrated with me and I with him, but in the end, he was very professional and was willing to find a compromise for both of us to walk away content. Should an opportunity arise, I would give MHE another chance. Their customer service and professionalism are 10/10.

These guys charged me $185 to look at my house for 10 minutes and tell me they could do the work and it would cost me $1,500 for 1 outlet, 1 light switch, move range power 2 feet and install two recessed lights in an already demo’d kitchen.

$185 to literally say: “Yes, I can do that” is absolutely absurd. I know you can do the work, I’ve read your reviews and done my due diligence. I need a competitive bid, not a bill for showing up. All communication was done over text and a $185 service fee was never mentioned.

I flip homes for a living, if I had to pay a service fee every time I had contractors come bid my jobs out for me, I would never make any money. Very disappointed with my first interaction with this company. I will definitely not be calling them for my next electrical job.

If you're reading this, then you *know* how difficult it can be to find people with real skills who understand what's needed, and who do what they promise. Matt was super easy to communicate with - he responded quickly, came over for an assessment, and devised a simple solution to my electrical problem, which he was able to complete in less than a week. Todd and Roy were on the job early, as promised, and worked hard until the job was complete. Their work installing a new sub-panel and a few 220V circuits was super tidy and done with some planned future renovations in mind. They even chatted with me about some tips for future wiring projects. All in all, this is a top-notch crew. Lucked out just choosing them off the googles, but I will absolutely be contacting them in the future for additional work. I highly advise you do the same.

Matt and his team were fantastic. They connected our heated driveway and an electric vehicle charger for us and were thoroughly professional from start to finish. Matt is clearly an excellent electrician and takes pride in his craft - the planning, execution, and finish was to the utmost standard.

Matt, the owner was very responsive to our initial call for a quote to upgrade our electrical from 100 to 200 amp, install an EV charger in the garage, and install additional outlets. He came within a few days to give us a free estimate which we found to be very good in relation to other estimates we'd received. He then scheduled our job for 2 weeks out and arrived as scheduled and on time with Blake and Todd. They worked for 1 and 1/2 days and did a great job as they had to relocate our panel from inside to outside the house.. I also appreciated they cleaned up debris.
They are a great team and we recommend them.

Highly recommend Matt and his team at MH Electric! I own a 130 year old house in the Highlands and I knew I needed some electrical upgrades that I had been putting off. Once summer hit, my power kept surging with my window a/c unit and I knew it was time. Matt was super responsive and quick to look at my electrical, inside and out, and had a very fair bid to me within the day. I needed to get a new (safe) circuit panel, add a new indoor outlet and designated breaker for the a/c and completely rewire my garage to bring it all up to code. I finally have power outside as well as they added in an outlet on the patio and in the garage - hurray! Matt is a trustworthy master electrician and I will definitely be recommending MH Electrical to my friends and neighbors.

We hired MH Electrical and Solar to install over 25 recessed lights as well as a variety of electrical work throughout our home. We couldn’t be happier with the results. We got some cheaper quotes from other companies, but decided to go with Matt for a few reasons: first, he agreed to throw in a few small miscellaneous items into the same scope of work (other electricians seemed to nickel and dime quite a bit), secondly, he was very responsive on the phone and always very polite, and finally, we felt we could trust Matt because he recommended against doing some work that he could have charged for, but instead offered a viable cheaper solution. We’re very glad we picked MH Electrical for this work. Matt and Todd were on time, courteous and very easy to work with. We had many questions as they worked and they patiently and kindly explained everything they were doing, and went above and beyond to complete the project including out-of-scope requests. All in all, Matt, Todd and Roy did an excellent job (even with some of the tricky, unique wiring in our house) and cleaned up (mopped!) before they left. We highly recommend MH Electrical, and we’ll be hiring them again for future home projects.

We have consulted and worked with MH Electrical on several projects including our electrical panel upgrade. Matt is very responsive, friendly, efficient, reasonably priced, and does excellent work. We’ve had no issues with our panel or new line that he installed to our bathroom. Will continue to use and recommend his services for future projects.

My 20-year-old oven caused a power outage in my condo that I did not feel safe trying to remedy by myself. I was so grateful that Matt was available to come help on short notice. He got the power back on, tested the outlets, and inspected the oven. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything was safe, and explained what I need to be aware of when shopping for a new oven. I cannot recommend MH Electrical enough!
