Kitchen Renovation - January-April 2023

Deciding to do a full kitchen renovation on our 1885 brick bungalow was an exciting decision for my wife and me to make after purchasing the home in the spring of 2022. With the current supply chain issues and labor shortages we knew that choosing the correct design/build firm was going to be the most important factor in this process for a successful outcome.

During our initial meetings with Gina and Jamin (the Colorado Homes and Design/Earth Saving Solutions team) we quickly confirmed that we had chosen the right firm. As a retired executive chef, I had very specific requirements for our new kitchen. Gina took those ideas and presented us with a thoughtful design that incorporated an efficient layout with the premium materials we requested.

As the project progressed we were very impressed with the emphasis on quality craftsmanship that Jose (project lead) and his team put into every aspect of our renovation, always making the extra effort to get it exactly right. When you are fully renovating a 135 year old space, you know that you are going to uncover some unexpected issues and we were certainly no exception. After some trail and error with our communication process, we dialed in our communication process between the whole team. We were able to navigate any and all issues quickly and move forward toward our project completion.

From design to pre-con to final walk-through this team stepped up and made our dream kitchen a reality. For a renovation from simple to extensive, we would highly recommend Colorado Homes and Design/Earth Saving Solutions. Gina, Jamin and Jose exceeded all of our expectations.

Earth Saving Solutions made my basement into a dream basement. They are insanely meticulous and Chris and his team pay great attention to detail. They have an amazing culture and their team kind of feels like family. I would highly recommend them for all your construction needs. I will not use anyone else.

They are wonderful. Very detailed in completing the work. They worked with me on getting the pictures and information I needed to file with the insurance company. Were able to match the flooring so only the damage part had to be replace. They worked with me and keep me in the loop through the process. I am using them to do a kitchen remodel now. Andrew Taylor was excellent to work with and always trying to get the best price on everything.

Earth Saving Solutions Construction & Roofing did an amazing job on our project. The crew was friendly, professional, and got everything done on time with great attention to detail—I’d definitely use them again.

Highly recommend ESS. We bought this house last summer, everything is dated, see the first three photos. I'm so glad that we found ESS, these guys did a fantastic job, the other three pictures would tell you how happy we are. We worked with Jamin, Gina and Ben, awesome folks, they took care of everything, awesome customer services. The project took several months, it was mostly hassle free. The cost, isn't cheap though, but we got what we paid for. Couldn't be happier.

I had an excellent experience on my mitigation project. Everyone involved from start to finish was great. Brad and Katelyn made the assessment easy and informational. Mike and Edgar made the mitigation/removal happen efficiently and effectively. I’d recommend this group and will certainly call them in case of any future emergencies.

The pictures I added show before and after from the same location. This company did outstanding work! Ben, Jamin and Steve worked together to get me a dream space all within my budget. The entire project only took about 7 weeks, which included taking down walls and vaulting part of my ceiling. The communication was amazing, where I always felt taken care of and all questions answered daily. As minor issues arose, they took care of them immediately without hesitation. I am in love with my new space!

ESS were great to work with. Got my roof replaced due to storm damage and Jacob did all the hard work of liaising with the insurance company on my behalf, and ensuring everything that needed doing was covered as much as possible. Jacob followed up routinely to give me updates or ask for my decision/requests. I also was given options to add during the work, such as adding electrical wires to install a patio ceiling fan, and also installing a new sun light in the bathroom during roof replacement. Great experience and very honest, motivated and caring group of people. I highly recommend using them.

I called Chris after my house got hit with a hail storm. He sent out Igor first thing the following morning and from there I worked with Igor and the team to get my roof, gutters, and skylights replaced. Igor was very easy to work with throughout the entire process. I would recommend ESS to anyone looking for home repairs or remodel.

ESS company did wonderful job in fixing our home. We were new to this entirely and Andrew's team guided us through out this remodeling journey. They not only did the best job but also answered any questions we had and helped us in choosing right decisions as well. I would recommend 100% to go with ESS team who will take care of your property like theirs!

Don and Jon did an incredible job on our bathrooms and beer cooler during our full store remodel. Their entire crew—Cesar, Marco, Oscar, and the second Cesar—were neat, clean, and extremely helpful to our store team. They always showed up with a great attitude, which made the whole process much smoother. It’s honestly sad to see them go. Anytime I had questions or concerns, Don and Jon addressed them right away. I highly recommend this team.

Had door to door repair guy offer free roof inspection. I was irritated to start because I have a no soliciting sign but let him go up because what could it hurt.
He sent me ten pictures and said I need a new one I needed details and a cost estimated for the replacement he gave neither. I called ESS for a second opinion and Jacob was honest educated and willing to tell me what was wrong and why insurance pays for new roofs. In the end I didn’t pay for a new roof but for a patch instead. I used ESS before when I was remodeling and I knew I could trust them to be fair and straightforward call them you won’t regret it.

We hired Head West to add a small bathroom, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The Head West crew are the best. They are the most honest, reliable, and hilarious team to work with. Head West handled the remodel for my salon, and they truly went above and beyond. The project included some unique elements—including a ceiling product they had never worked with before. They took the time to research the new product, install it with care, and the results turned out beautifully.

Even after the job was complete, they came back to make a few small adjustments without hesitation, making sure everything was just right.

I am so happy with how the space turned out and would absolutely recommend this crew!

John and crew did a fabulous job renovating two bathrooms and our entire kitchen. John was far more than our contractor. He was our advocate seeking best approaches and pricing. He was honest along every step of the process. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more.
