5 ⭐️ Rafael and his team provided a quality result and worked incredibly quickly and efficiently to transform our broken down railroad tie retaining walls and pathway. The stone work, especially on the stairs, is clean and well done. We agreed partway through with recommendations from Rafael to improve the look of the project regarding stone size and paver size for the walkway, and I’m happy we could rely on his experience to make our backyard look good. Multiple neighbors have stopped by to tell us how fantastic it looks. We decided to keep the edging on the walkway near the garden unfinished so we could think about what we wanted to do next with it!

The quote I received was reasonable so I hired this company. After a few visits the work was done correctly and it looks great. The owner is very conscientious about the quality of the finished product, I appreciated that 👌

Rafael and his team did an amazing job. In just a few short days the transformed our large disaster of a yard, created two beautiful patios, re-worked our sprinklers and laid a huge amount of sod. There was some delay in terms of timing of start date, but Rafael kept us updated and in the end it was all worth it. We cant stop looking at our new yard!

RDS installed turf on half of our backyard along with black granite rocks and edging on both sides and did an amazing job!! Our backyard was an absolute mess before this. It required them to dig out the dirt and make it level, among a lot of other work. It came out perfect, we are so pleased. Their prices are also unbeatable and the workers are great!! Highly recommend!

I can finally legally post about my experience with Rafael and his shady business. We hired Rafael back in July of 2025. The job was to remove a flower bed, add turf & pour a concrete slab. My wife & I were going out of town for a month, Rafael agreed that it was ok to take half of the payment up front & the other half when we returned, this was also going to be the final walkthrough.

Long story short, he didn't show up on the day we agreed. Didn't pour the concrete correctly. According to his contract he said he would install rebar, didn't do that. Didn't take out the existing wiring to flood lights, just poured concrete over it lol. Oh and the concrete, he said he would have a professional mixer & truck, nope, used quick concrete in the bags..... Didn't even bother adding a slope or cutting drainage correctly. Didn't even smooth out the slab before it started to dry. Was going to charge us $6k to do all of this???

When we came back from our trip, I immediately tried to contact him about all of this. He tried to send one of his workers to collect the remaining amount, wouldn't even bother to show up on his own (coward)! Went against his contract and threatened us daily saying we owed him $200 for every day that we didn't pay him, so by the time we came back from our trip, he said we owned him around $14k LOL. He never showed up to take the second half of the payment. Lied about his contract, we had to get a concrete X ray done for $400 to confirm there was no rebar. Had to seek help from a Lawyer & contact the police. I don't think he even has a work license to operate his business.

Just save yourself the hassle & avoid his company at all costs!

Rafael's guys, Tito and Manuel, were absolutely fantastic. They were so polite, professional and hard working. The job was done in just one day, and it is perfect. They did not return any of my phone calls, texts or messages after they gave me a quote. I wasted so much time trying to track them down with no result. unbelievable! Jose and his team did an incredible job building natural stone raised garden beds for me, restructuring the surrounding landscaping to fit the gardens, and re-mulching my flower beds. His team is very skilled, they were very respectful, and I'm absolutely in love with my new gardens! They were very attentive to getting the details right too. Jose helped me figure out the best sprinkler system for my gardens, provided the right starter soil, and made sure the prettiest stones were the most visible. Of note, Jose's team was careful to not damage my lawn or other plants through this whole process too. I vetted multiple companies before deciding to move forward with Jose and his team. They know their stuff and their prices are very reasonable. We will definitely have Jose's team back next year for our next project!

What a great job Jose and his crew did! The very last photo is "before" - all the rest are "after". The moss rock tiers in the front yard are beautiful. The new gate is great. The stone retaining walls in the back yard look so nice. Jose helped us choose all the plants (well over 100), which are all perennials. Each plant has its own drip supply from the sprinkler system. We are glad to get rid of all the landscaping fabric, crushed tires, and juniper bushes. Jose also replaced a falling-apart lattice panel on our back porch. We are excited to watch our xeriscaping project grow and fill in over the years.
