I worked with Conner on the initial quote—he was incredibly honest, transparent, and took the time to walk me through multiple options, helping me understand the pros and cons of each. Their pricing was very competitive compared to other vendors.

The installation team, who Zero Homes partners with, was excellent—responsive, professional, and kept the worksite clean throughout the process. They also took the time to explain how the new system works in detail, which I appreciated.

We recently finished a project with Zero Homes. We had mini-splits, a panel upgrade, and insulation added in our attic. From beginning to end Zero Homes used a modern approach to figure out what would benefit us most in the long run. No waiting no fuss. Their app-based quoting and surveying should be the standard, it’s crazy more companies don’t have this kind of technology or service. The pricing was fair and they gave us all the guidance on rebates. They make things right when needed and oversee your project and act as a buffer for the guys doing the work. The teams who came to our home were all knowledgeable and professional! It felt like we got what we paid for and in our area that’s rare! This kind of service is something we need more of! I did not know it was possible to get a virtual quote for a heat pump. The process was both as surprising as it was amazing. Not having a sales person in my home was so nice… wish they could help me with my floors now.

I was looking to add a ducted mini split in the attic to improve heat and air conditioning to our second floor rooms. After discussing our needs and concerns for our 26 year old main HVAC Conner designed a Mitsubishi heat pump system, air blower for the main level and basement. A ducted mini split system in the attic and a wall mount mini split in the primary bedroom and an 80 gallon heat pump water heater. With all the rebates about $6,000 more than all other companies were quoting for just the ducted mini split. Emily helped ensure logistics and that all rebates were applied through Xcel energy. John coordinated all the trades people and ensured the timeliness and quality of work was outstanding. I would recommend Zero homes to anyone needing HVAC upgrades or whole home electrification like we did. They made the process as seamless as possible and communicated regularly. We are very happy with our new system!

Working with everyone from Dept. of Housing & Zero Homes staff members was excellent with answering questions, dates, contractor scheduling. Everyone was available to answer my questions or concerns. The new improvements are working great especially with our cold weather environment in Chicago. So far, my energy bills are lower since completion of work in September 2025. I greatly appreciate everyone at Zero Homes on their professional manner and making this a great learning experience for me.
