I've used Karsten Electric twice now for upgrading service to my home and will continue using them in the future as I make updates to the property. If you're in or around Golden, Karsten should be your first call for electric service.

Shawn McAuley is an honest, knowledgeable, and absolutely has your safety as his top priority! If he says "replace it" do it! He will NOT steer you wrong.

They are danger to themselves and others on the road. If they don't value others safety on the road, they will not value your family's safety at home.

They were weaving in and out of lanes and tailgating everyone in bumper to bumper traffic. They were weaving around so much it was actually slowing them down. So they will probably be late to your job anyways 😂

Karsten electric was extremely fair, professional, trustworthy and deliver excellent service. Will only work with them for all things electrical.

I had some electrical projects around the house and I'm really glad I found Karsten Electrical Services. It's great to see honest local guys out there who take great pride in their work like Louis Karsten. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I called on a Thursday to get a bid on an electrical job. I was told that someone would contact me early the following week to set up an appointment. Hearing nothing by the following Thursday, I called again and was told someone would call as soon as possible to schedule the appointment for a proposal. I hoped this could happen before the upcoming holiday weekend. It did not. So it's now a holiday week, everyone is busy, I get it, so I waited until the following Tuesday to call again. I am now informed that there are at least ten jobs just like mine already scheduled and there is no way they can even come out to make a bid. So how many of these ten priority jobs were scheduled while I patiently waited for nearly three weeks? If someone is slammed with work and they can't fit me into their schedule, I can live with that, just tell me up front, but don't string me out for three weeks! I am busy too! There is absolutely no excuse for treating a potential customer this way. Based upon my experience, it is my opinion that you should be VERY cautious in dealing with a company that has no more regard for their customers than this. I will certainly never consider them for future projects and I will recommend to all of my friends and contacts in the construction business to utilize other electrical contractors. Beware!

Karsten has always taken great care of us. Even sharing ways we can be more cost efficient to get the job done.

Shawn is amazing to work with. He is very knowledgeable and explains things in detail so you now what to expect. He has so much experience in the industry and come highly recommended.

We hired Karsten Electrical as a subcontractor to complete the electrical work in our basement remodel. Their proposal was the most complete and detailed quote we received; it was clear they had done this many time before. They asked us a lot of questions and recommended features that we hadn't considered and changes to what we had initially described to ensure that the finished basement was perfect. Their staff (Larry primarily worked on the project) was always prompt and professional. All change orders were handled with written requests so there were no surprises. They have continued to provide prompt and courteous service after the project was completed.

In summary, Karsten Electrical knows what they are doing. They weren't the low bid on the project, but they were the best value if you care about quality workmanship and project management.

Had them come and install 4 fan boxes in each of our bedrooms and wire them to the swag lamp switches so that I could install ceiling fans. I was able to complete the quote and schedule entirely through email, which is convenient for me. Their quote was the most competitive I received and the tech who came out was prompt and courteous. I'd have no problem recommending them based on my experience.

I am writing this 5 star review before even receiving a final quote based on the professional and kind service we received from our estimator, Shawn Mc Auley. I led Shawn around our property and house to point out all of the potential needs for service. During this time, one of our cats escaped (my fault) through the front door. Immediately and without question, Shawn jumped in to help. Capo was acting ornery, ran across the street and into a drainage pipe. I mentioned to Shawn that this could take a while, and he was free to go. Shawn insisted on staying until the cat was safely back indoors, and it did indeed take some time and patience. Today is the next day and we are looking forward to receiving our quote and hopefully moving forward. But I had to start here with a 5-star review no matter what happens, based on the memorable service of our first interaction. Thank you Shawn and Karsten Electrical Services!

Very friendly company with a very quick call back time and they really know what's best for my industrial/residential needs. Employees were easy to understand and very professional and curtious when in my home. I used Karsten to provide electrical services for a mobile injection control trailer we custom fabricated. They installed several hundred feet of conduit, wired two control panels, two power panels, a 3 phase to single phase transformer, and dozens of flow meters, solenoids, outlets, heating circuits, etc., all in a 34 ft. trailer.
