We had our landscape install over 2 years ago and hate that it’s taken me so long to leave a review. The plus side is I can comment on how the finished product held up over time which is a tell-tale sign of good quality, especially the hardscape.

We met with several companies, many of which told us we could not fit the size of fireplace we wanted on our patio. It seemed like we were constantly steered away from what we wanted and more towards what they wanted. That’s where John with Four Elements stepped in.

John is a designer first and foremost. He listened to us versus telling us what we should do. He made great design recommendations that we never thought of and made adjustments along the way as we’re a little difficult to please…oh, and he’s very patient.

In the end we love everything they did. The hardscape has held up with no cracks or shifting. We had challenging drainage issues to deal with and while my neighbors sump pumps run constantly mine rarely goes on cause John did such an amazing job routing the water away from our foundation. In the end, we could not be happier!

I highly recommend Four Elements and you get so much more than what you pay for!

We would give this company 10 stars! The entire process has been amazing. We were able to see a 3 D rendering prior to any work and made changes based on the designer Jeremy’s input. The workers are highly skilled and clean up at the end of every workday. The owner, John was on site regularly to check out the work, suggest changes that made the project even better! Wholeheartedly recommend!

John and his entire team has been a staple for our landscaping for the last 6+ years. Everything has been meticulously built and the process has been very transparent. The team is able to tweak the projects based on how the design unfolds and is always willing to work with our every need. John has done quite a few projects for us over the years, from Landscaping the property, to designing and building planters in the front and back, concrete patios and driveways, pergola structure, gas fireplaces, and even just fall cleanup to mention the things he has and can do. John Van and his team have delivered exceptional results in every aspect on our project to upgrade our home’s landscape. Our project included the removal of 77 tons of excess fill dirt, grading the lawn areas, adding areas of stone ground cover, concrete curbing separating turfed areas from landscape areas, placement of boulders, 2 patios, 3 retaining walls with stone veneer & capstones, stone veneer added to the exposed house foundation, sidewalks around the house, tilling soil supplements into the lawn soils and installing new turf sod. The project took several months to complete, and John’s team worked full days, often 6-days per week to get the job done. Often while the project progressed, many of our neighbors stopped to let us know how impressed they were with the project’s daily progress. John and his team members were always very professional, courteous, respectful and collaborative including their 3rd party subcontractors.

Our planning for the project included hiring a landscape designer to prepare a full-size drawing plan. We sent out our request for proposal to Four Elements and 4 other well established landscape contractors. Four companies viewed the project, and 3 companies submitted bids. During the bid phase John requested additional information to further define the work scope. We answered John’s questions and forwarded the same information to the other bidders. When reviewing the 3 bids we received it was obvious that John and his team had prepared a much more thorough and detailed estimate/schedule than the other two bidders. Because of their detailed bid preparation work, the Four Elements cost estimate was significantly less than the other two bids. During the execution of the work, we requested a few additional work items and John always promptly prepared a written cost change order we both agreed to and signed before starting the work.

Our project was completed during the summer/early fall of 2023. During that summer there were several weeks with significant rainfall. John’s team always found ways to progress the work despite the wet conditions. Two years later, all the hardscape work looks as good as it did when completed. There are no settlement issues, leaning retaining walls, cracks or other cosmetic issues. Since the completion of the big project, we have hired Four Elements for two small projects, and both were completed with the same through and timely execution as the big project.

I recommend Four Elements Landscape & Outdoor Living for your landscape projects both small, large and in between. They do their homework, fairly price the work, deliver in a timely manner, are a joy to work with and deliver the results you want.

Joe and the team at Landscape Connection transformed our backyard into a mini-paradise! Our backyard needed a major overhaul and we couldn't envision how to make the changes. They walked us through beginning to end with wonderful suggestions within our budget. They listened to our end goals and remained flexible in the process to be sure we were really satisfied. The crew were amazing in their attitudes and work ethic - house projects are not usually fun to live through, but these guys were so respectful and enjoyable, I looked forward to seeing them each day.

In 2007 Landscape Connection, specifically Scott Blankenship, designed and created a beautiful stone walkway down to our backyard. In the backyard they extended our patio & added a water feature, fire pit and sitting wall. When we decided to add a courtyard to the front of our home this summer we didn't hesitate to call Scott & Landscape Connection. The courtyard is AMAZING.....beyond anything I imagined!!! With both projects we found it very easy to work with Landscape Connection. Crews worked hard all day, cleaned up at the end of the day & were extremely respectful of us & our property.

Scott B. and Landscape Connection did an excellent job working with us on a new construction landscape installation. They provided a creative landscape plan with thoughtful suggestions after listening to our wish list. They covered all aspects including grading, irrigation, hardscape and plant material. We were able to adjust specific planting and bed designs during the installation process as we saw how the plan actually was being laid out. Suggestions were made so that we could stage the installation process to help spread the cost over a longer timeframe. The crew who did the actual work showed very good craftsmanship, creativity and reliability. I would recommend Landscape Connection and plan to continue the use of their services.

Jared and his crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were reliable, hard working and very efficient in replacing our flagstone patio. Quality workmanship and a caring company is very difficult to find these days. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Jared and the crew were great to work with. The design of the back yard firepit patio looked fantastic on paper but due to the change in elevation, the reality wasn't looking that great. We called Jared to take a look and he was able to make excellent suggestions which turned out better than we expected.
The planting area in the front of the house was a great finishing touch and many people still stop by and comment how great it looks.
A few serviceberry shrubs (2 of the 3) either lost their leaves or the leaves changed color and shriveled up. Jared came through and replaced both. We are so happy with their design and installation.

We used Landscape Connection for a complete overhaul of our front and back yards/gardens. Our designer, Devon, carefully listened to our desires for the project. She helped educate us on what to plant and why and helped us stay away from plantings that wouldn't do well in our situation. She was always very responsive and really listened to everything we communicated so that the end project was better than we could have imagined. The crews that did the demolition and installation were professional and careful and thorough. Many of our neighbors have commented to us that they couldn't believe how impressive this team was. I'm not kidding when I say that any time we're sitting in our front garden space, we always receive compliments from people passing by. We'll definitely be using this company for our needs in the future and heartily recommend them for your landscaping project.

Landscape Connection did such a great job we have now used them twice. The first project was HUGE replacing a retaining wall at the front of our house, creating a fire pit area at the back of our house, and building a custom grill structure outback. For the fire pit and grill they used bricks from an old garage we tore down so it matched with the esthetic of the house. They also put in custom pavers, landscaping and a sprinkler system.

The second project was to complete some left over things we didn't have the budget or time to get to in the first project. Jared and his team came in landscaped the road verge (ground between the road and sidewalk). They also ripped out the concrete slab in the back yard and filled it in with pavers that identically matched and aligned with the first project two years later.

For each project the team was professional, respectful, accommodating, and above all did an amazing job while being very careful to not destroy or cause damage to the rest of the house or lawn. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to revitalize they yard and add value to their house.

Our backyard now looks like something right out of the Denver Botanic Gardens and we couldn’t be happier! Our designer and project manager, Devon, had a vision for our yard and created a comprehensive plan. Then Ishmael and his crew made it happen. In about a week our yard was completely transformed and all within budget. But that’s only part of the story. I had been told that Landscape Connection was like a big, happy family team and that turned out to be so true. They obviously respected one another and were committed to good customer service. When something wasn’t just right (like a boulder my husband wasn’t quite fond of) they fixed it no questions asked. And at the end of every day, the crew blew the dirt and dust from our driveway and recoiled our garden hoses! Attention to detail! Finally, we had been told by other “experts” that our irrigation system was a mess but Ishmael took one look and told us it would be no problem and sure enough he had the thing running within hours. We’ll be working with Devon, Ishmael and the Landscape Connection team again on our front yard next year and we’re honestly looking forward to the experience!
