I am quite happy to have McCord's Garden Center in town, especially since they sell organic, non-gmo, heritage seeds and plants plus delicious (for my plants) dirt and compost! Actually, I wind up buying more garden decor than anything because it's just all so cute!
I recommend this store if you're a gardener, if you're looking to give that perfect gift to a gardener, or if you just like the smell of dirt and plants.
Oh! They do landscaping, too!

I don't normally leave reviews, but I was nothing but impressed with Ryan and his crew. This a family business and the quality of work is exactly why I would pay someone, and not attempt it myself. Won't ever go to anyone else for my landscaping needs!

Good plants. NO RETURNS. I asked to return a plant I bought 10 hours prior due to a change of landscape design. They refused and mentioned that they do not allow ANY returns. They did not mention this at the time of any of my previous purchases. UNFORTUNATELY I can no longer get my plants from here, and I have a very large multi-year project to complete. This is what makes shopping local so difficult. Most small businesses don't understand that SERVICE = REVENUE. You're not trying to make one sale, you're goal is to keep customers coming back for life. That is where growth comes from. So down to Home Depot I go.

I would definitely recommend McCord's Landscaping. We had them do a major landscaping project for our home. It involved a drawn landscape plan, clean-up, trees, shrubs, ground cover, drip lines, mulch, pavers, retaining walls - pretty much everything you might do to a yard. We had massive amounts of healthy plants put in around the property. I was given a time table which was followed very well. Estimates were right on and there were no surprise costs. One of the things that impressed me most was seeing Ryan out almost every morning to check on the work from the day before. He ensured the quality of the job. From start to finish the McCords were very professional and trustworthy. This is absolutely a company with which you should do business.

Personalized, friendly service. The staff REALLY knows their plants!! They will even help you carry your purchases to your vehicle. Quality plants& shrubs in excellent condition.

When all the big box stores were out of flowers for the season, McCords still had a great selection of healthy, beautiful plants at great prices. So happy to support a local business while beautifying my yard.

When my wife and I decided to take on a long overdue landscaping project our thoughts immediately went to Ryan McCord. Ryan and his team did a wonderful job and we had smiles on our faces the entire time. We love McCord's. We know that the plants they carry are well-suited to the unique conditions of the Palmer Divide. The employees are informative and able to assist in making wise decisions on types of plants suitable for specific locations.

Cute lawn and garden center. I went looking for colorful pots for my indoor plants, and I was not disappointed!! Nice variety and helpful/ kind staff.

I was absolutely blown away when I went into McCord's Garden Center. I had no idea what I was doing for my garden. Macy and her staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and so easy to talk to. On top of all of that, this is a genuine family business. I'm getting gardening advice from a 5 year old!! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you Macy! Garden looks phenomenal... and I have a black thumb!

Wonderful atmosphere with excellent management and staff! They have a great selection of trees and plants, and their stock updates frequently. Very helpful ladies who truly enjoy their jobs. I would highly recommend!

Staff were very helpful and found the exact plant I needed before I even got there.

We recently moved into a newly built house and the lot needed to be landscaped, of course. We called Ryan, and we are so glad we did. He came out and took a look at the lot, listened to what we wanted (Low maintenance! Low water requirements! Want to attract birds and butterflies!) and from these very sketchy directions proceeded to draw up a gorgeous plan.

I really appreciated Ryan’s willingness to tweak the plan to fit our budget and to continue to tweak as the project progressed – things we changed as I decided that “Hmm.. maybe that doesn’t look quite right there” and “Gosh, we would sure like some stepping stones here” and “I'm not crazy about the plant you suggested for this spot; how about this other plant?” and “Could you mix some wildflower seeds with the low-grow mix” and … you get the idea. Ryan really took it all in stride.

He was great about checking in and walking us through what was happening and making sure we were all on the same page. He was extremely flexible about meeting us when our schedules allowed!!! He also checked into rules and regs about greenhouses and worked into the plan a spot for an eventual greenhouse.

The crew was great – very hard working, and they got the project done in what seemed to me like record time.

We’ve received many compliments on the way the yard turned out!

This is a small but mighty business. The staff was attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable. There was a great selection and we found all the plants we were looking for and more. We will definitely return when we're ready to do more planting!

They have an extensive range of plants suitable for the Colorado growing area. They got some colorful pots and other things for your garden. I love all the colorful things you can get for your garden. It is a beautiful place to look around to find just what you need to make your garden just the way you dreamed it could be. They have some wonderful people working there, so go check them out.

Very helpful and friendly! Kathy helped us pick out a house plant and explained how to take care of it. She also helped us with questions about plants we didn't even buy from her. Highly recommend this locally owned business.

I am relatively new to Colorado, and I am having issues picking the right plants. The people at McCords were so helpful to help choose new shrubs for my house. Can’t wait to go back and grab some plants for some of the pots on my porch.
