I had a great experience touring Tailholt with Alexa. She is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to ensure both my client and I felt comfortable throughout the process. Alexa was very attentive, patient, and always willing to answer our questions. She really took the time to find the right fit for my client, and her expertise made the experience seamless. Highly recommend!

We are 1st time home buyers and are so happy with DR Horton! Buying a house was stressful but they made the process as seamless as can be. We moved from Denver. We are so happy to be out of the city. This neighborhood is beyond perfect for us and our growing family. Thank you Rianna and Alexa, and Patricia (mortgage loan originator). Dan was also wonderful working with at the end of our closing.

I enjoyed working with Alexa she was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. She immediately got back to me with any questions my buyers had and addressed their concerns. I will definitely recommend DR Horton and bring future buyers to their communities.

We just closed in November 2024 in Tailholt and we worked with Stephanie Cresswell, she was nothing but positive and understanding even when I was overwhelmed. I asked lots and lots of questions and she went above and beyond to find out the answers. Very professional, kind, and hardworking!
I also briefly worked with Rianna at the Fossil Creek Ranch community and she was amazing as well, very friendly, straight forward and even when our deal didn’t work out there she communicated with me how to get our earnest money back, I appreciated that!
Overall our house is beautiful, it’s not perfect but we love it and are so grateful to DR Horton for building affordable (yes in this market they are) homes! Also we got a killer interest rate going through their lender, so thank you! -
I bought a home here built by DR Horton. The mortgage department and closing area were great to work with, but getting completion on warranty work has been a hassle. Most of the items still needing to be fixed were on our original punch list and still haven't been addressed. Below are pictures of a few of the issues we are dealing with. I love the plans of the house and the community, just be prepared to do ALOT of little jobs that they drag their feet on. Also, bring all your cleaning supplies, your new home will be a mess!

Stephanie is incredible and was such an asset during our first home buying process! From our first house tour, through closing, and even months after our move in, Stephanie has been available and eager to help us however she could! She is such a friendly face in what can be an excitingly stressful process!

I recently bought my first home through DR Horton and I am very happy with my new home. I worked with Stephanie and she was absolutely amazing and so kind! With it being my first home, I had a lot of questions and she was very quick to find the answers and made sure to give me any updates throughout the process. I couldn’t recommend her enough. Everything went so smooth and everyone I worked with from touring the home to closing, were so friendly, thorough, and helpful. I highly recommend working with Stephanie and DR Horton!

My husband and I just bought our first home a few weeks ago here in Tailholt. As a first time home buyer the process is extremely confusing, stressful, but super exciting! We worked with Kayla and helped make the process go smoothly. She understands the importance of not only being there for you during the process, but answering all the questions you have. We appreciated having her walk us through this whole experience, so thank you.
As for the home itself, it’s only been a few weeks, but so far so good. When we did our blue tape walkthrough everything got fixed, and they come back a week after you move in to fix anything else you noticed during closing/ move in. I also appreciated how well the house got cleaned before we moved in. I was expecting to have to clean a lot before we moved in, considering it was a construction zone, but they did a fantastic job with that as well.
I’m overall very pleased with Kayla, the home itself, and D.R Horton lender. -
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Kayla at D.R. Horton on several transactions, and she is hands down my favorite rep to work with. She is reliable, responsive, and always solution-oriented. Kayla is also excellent at setting clear expectations from the start, which makes a huge difference for both agents and clients. As a Realtor, you don’t have to worry when you’re working with Kayla, she stays on top of details, communicates consistently, and works hard to keep everything moving forward. I truly appreciate her professionalism and dedication, and I look forward to many more smooth transactions together!

After being a Horizon View Home Owner for the last year in this neighborhood I am really disappointed in the warranty side of the company. I have been fighting a hot water issue since January (my 10th month mark to enter all problems before the 1 year mark), this will now be my 6th appointment for the issue (no one even responded to me between appointments 4 & 5 for 10 days.. really poor customer service.) As of today the problem is still going on because it is too hard for them to call the item defective and replace it. I've personally hired an inspector who stated the tank needed to be replaced as there is rust and mold visible on the tank and they still try to argue it. I've spoken to all of my neighbors and they have all agreed how terrible the warranty side is to work with. What good is having a home warranty if they don't honor it?

We were extremely frustrated with the home buying process, weighing out buying vs building, and trying to secure something in this market. When we found Horizon View, we were amazed by the quality, style, and value. The problem was, we were begging them to take our money and yet there was no inventory for what we needed. I was surprised at how many no’s we received from Horizon View due to neighborhoods between phases, certain layouts no longer available, etc. we almost threw in the towel.
Enter John Mendoza, who ended up becoming more than a sales rep, rather a trusted advocate in our corner throughout the entire home building process and a lot of the reason we signed on.
Instead of another no, he jumped in our vision with us, took the time to understand what we truly wanted, and did what he could to get us there. As with any home being built, we encountered issues but our construction managers Anthony and Kris took time to listen to our concerns and went out of their way to personally see to it that they were addressed. Those two work so hard and yet never did they treat this like another day on the job. Any time we met with them, we were met with enthusiasm and their full attention.
This company didn’t treat us like we are one out of many fish in the sea, every person we worked with treated us like a member of their family.
The day we closed, our grass hadn’t yet been cut so Shayne, one of the other salesmen, came on his day off to mow our grass so it would look nice for when we pulled up to our new home. Didn’t get anything for it, just did it because he felt it was right. He treated us just like John did and we weren’t even his clients.
That’s the kind of integrity this company has. They’re incredible! We looked at a lot of builders and these guys are by far a step above!!
