Great efficient repair, friendly service.

John, the technician, has a droll sense of humor and fixed my gas dryer so it works again.

Once again, the Sears technician saved the day with our dryer for the 2nd time in 3 months. However, the Sears Home Services product is terrible. In May we tried to get our dryer fixed and our order was assigned to a company that had gone out of business. Now that work order is stuck in an open state and we have to trick Sears Home Services into sending someone out by scheduling a "paid" visit and then forcing the tech to call the office and alter the visit to "covered by service plan". This has gone on for 3 months. Fix your systems and make a dryer that doesn't break every 2 months!!!!

Shawn did a great job with preventative maintenance on our furnace and hot water heater. He was very knowledgeable about the products and services offered by Sears.

My 76 year old mother bought dented dishwasher thought she paid in full $1200, but was ask to fill out paper work that would save more money, it was a lease that automatically charged her credit card for more than a year, she paid just over $2000 before we discovered what was done. Called Sears and talked to someone who saw what happened but when we came to talk to manager he claimed he need 3 weeks to find our file when someone else found it instantly on phone. He assured us he would call in 2 or 3 weeks, 4 months later no call . If we had not wondered about random autocharge on card that dented dishwasher would have cost $3400, if this wasn't meant to trap unsuspecting consumers, this would have been fixed, shame on Sears!!!! This review is apparently our only recourse.

Zack was very professional and knowledgeable! He diagnosed our issues quickly! Unfortunately, because we are leaving the area, we cannot have it repaired at this time.

They damaged our floor and it took them several visits to repair our fridge door. That said some of the visits were due to poor packaging by the warehouse. Still to this date they have not picked up the bad fridge door they replaced, its still sitting in our garage. With regards to floor damage I contacted the companies insurance, however they require me to agree to a complete confidentiality clause in order for them to cover the damages the tech caused, which I would not agree to. This work was done by Sears Appliance repair through A&E by way of Assurant service protection advantage.
Update: It turns out the "Response from the owner" is a just a Social Media Moderator from TRANSFORMCO.
Upon reaching out per the "Response from the owner" no action was taken. Here was the final response:
"We do apologize for the experience you have had regarding this complaint. Unfortunately, with this case without accepting the requirements then they are not able to assist further with the damage complaint. "
For reference the "accepting the requirement" was to accept a "complete confidentiality clause" .
In my opinion not taking responsibility for damages without holding customers hostage for their 'confidentiality' shows poor moral character in Sears.
In the end they still have not picked up the bad fridge door they said they would 'come back' to pick up. And I never received any compensation for the damages they caused to my home by dragging a heavy box with staples across our hardwood floors. -
We scheduled a repair for our dryer with a window between 1pm and 5pm. I left work early to be sure I was there. With no communication and no one showing up, I called around 5:15pm. They told me my scheduled time was 6:15-7:15. I never received a call nor email with this time change. By 7:30pm, no one had showed up. Very unprofessional and inconvenient. Would not recommend

Paid $65.00 for a warranty repair deductible on our dishwasher. Told the trap needed cleaning, and that was what was causing the unit not to heat and dry. Trap cleaning was determined to be a "maintenance" item and was not covered under warranty. Paid $50.00 to have the trap cleaned (it contained two half shells of pistachio, and a small sliver of glass). Two days later, when we tried the dishwasher for the first time since it was presumably repaired, it failed to heat and dry as it should. $115.00 in and we are now six weeks and counting to have the repair made.

Wish I could give zero stars. Sears came out to fix my dishwasher and said they needed two parts which they’d order but I had to pre-pay which I did. When a second tech came a week later to install them, he found a broken piece of plate causing the problem, and did not use the two parts which the first tech ordered after misdiagnosing the problem. Second tech who fixed the problem said Sears would give me a refund for the unused parts. Sears never refunded my money for the parts as promised. So I was without a working dishwasher for an extra week, and overcharged $112 for pieces that were not needed or used. I called the main Sears service line, and was again told I would be getting a refund for the unneeded parts. When the refund didn’t come in the promised timeframe, I contacted Visa. When I tried to get my money back through Visa, Sears sent Visa the receipt for my payment and said I had agreed to pay that much. Very frustrating experience and dishonest people.

Thank you for checking over my appliances for the troubles I’m encountering, and recommending upcoming repairs. Appreciate the answers to my questions and concerns. Felt like it was a good interaction during a very stressful situation considering the behaviors I’d been seeing. Totally appreciate the recommendations to help get more out of my appliances during their later years.

If i could i would give them 0 stars. I had a leak in my washing machine and he put the blame on me using too much detergent. I used a tablespoon of detergent on a med-lg load and it still leaked, and not from the place that he said it was “soap leaking” from. He was very impatient, only wanted to leave, very unapproachable and honestly had no idea what he was doing. The worst part of this is that i had an appointment with another company first, and cancelled with them because i thought “sears is a bigger name”. Shame on me. I rescheduled with the company I initially had an appointment with and i got lucky that they had a slot opening (originally mine) for the same day. P.S. the leak in my washer continued 17 mins after the “technician” left. For your reference, his name is Johnny, probably in his mid 70’s. If you insist on going this route, save yourself the agony and don’t go with Johnny. Also, their customer service is by far the worst. Said they can’t refund me the trip charge of $99. Such a waste!

Justin was very professional. He did a great job communicating with me on his arrival time. He also was able to explain what my problem was with my washer. I highly recommend him.

Technician didn’t fully assess all areas of our HVAC unit. He claimed that the reusable filter, which we clean regularly, was the cause of our coils freezing up on our A/C. After several hours (not to mention, the several weeks the service took to get here) of “thawing” out, the coils are still frozen. I will be calling back to to have another technician assess.

The repair gentleman showed up out of nowhere. The expected arrival went from 8 AM to 9 AM and then kept getting pushed back every hour to finally say arrival at 4pm, when someone showed up without notice or call ahead at 2 PM. Thankfully I was still home. They eventually left after almost 2 hours without notifying me that the job was completed. I checked the broken oven display they were replacing quickly and it was making a strange scratching noise when coming out of the oven, so I had to run out into the driveway to get them back inside before driving off. When they then looked at the display, not only was it installed crooked (which was easily visible), but they had apparently left a silica packet from the packaging behind the display inside the oven mechanics. They asked me for tweezers, pulled out the silica packet and said it’s fixed.
Needless to say I am very unimpressed with Sears’ quality control and communication. This is the second time they have come by, and in an age of easy GPS updates, nobody has time to sit around their home from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no updates or notifications when the repair people will show up and then having them leave without a word with a job incomplete. -
Rescheduled appointment two times and Sears Home Services was a no show both times. They are 5 minutes away from missing the third appointment and no way to talk to a human, just a chat bot or automated answering system. Pretty frustrating!

RJ did a great job. Refrigerator now works great. We appreciate him coming first thing this morning. Good job!!!
I must say that Sears system is terrible. I waited 9 hrs the first time and no one came. Had to reschedule!! Thank God for RJ who kept me posted . 8 to 5 window is a joke. -
Our refrigerator tech Ethan was great. Punctual, polite and friendly. He assessed the issue with our fridge, order the parts and was back in less than a week to install the new parts. Thanks Ethan!

The link says Sears but it’s A & E Factory Service that I booked this with. It took me two months to get a repair. You can’t talk to anyone. They say call, you call and it says go online, you go online and they say contact the manufacturer if it’s under warranty. So you call the manufacturer and wait forever then you get disconnected. I spent HOURS and hours on the phone trying to get this scheduled and again, there is no human at A&E to talk to. They no-showed me after I waited all day. A robocall after the arrival window (8-5) said they would arrive by 7:30 pm … then they no-showed me. Two weeks later a guy shows up who was OK and did the repair. Finally. But he didn’t take the HUGE old/broken dryer drum that is now on my front porch. Do NOT use A & E or Sears for that matter if they are operating as Sears.
