We purchased a new home that had fireplace inserts that we knew we wanted to remove. We took one out and called to schedule an inspection/cleaning. Al came out and put the camera up the chimney. He said there was an issue and not to use the fireplace. He was supposed to email a report and 2 months later we still don’t have one - of course he received payment for a cleaning that was not done and an inspection that we never received a report about. I tried to call to see what is going on and the voicemail is full. Very unprofessional. I don’t recommend giving them your business.

We hired FM to replace dbl sided gas fireplace with wood burner. Chose him because he was local and would give us a price break for finding less expensive fireplace online. He started project in Aug and stopped work in mid Sept without finishing. During work, I agreed to go up inside chimney to set 30+ ft of stove pipe since he wasn't able, just to get the job done. Once he stopped work in Sept we never heard from him for a month. Didn't return texts or calls. With winter and snow coming, we had to finish stonework outside ourselves. Frankly, his masonry skills are lacking. Int mortar crumbled and stone was loose. Ext stone, same thing and he left it undone with snow coming. He was rarely showing up on time. He is a nice guy, but being nice doesn't get the job done. He shouldn't take on projects he can't handle or do well; and we shouldn't have had to help him as much as we did only to finish the job ourselves. I can't speak to his chimney cleaning skills, but we were disappointed in the installation and stonework.

Alan Mason, (Flamemaster) came out to clean my chimney Nov. 2020. He said my fireplace was unusable and he would install a fireplace insert for $10,202.42 He required $9277.42 down to get started. We unfortunately trusted him and paid. We didn't hear from him again for a month, then he returned our calls with different stories about missing parts. Three weeks after that he came out, put the fireplace insert and chimney parts in our garage (supposed to be installed in the living room), removed my old fireplace (a lightweight gas one) and took the top off my chimney. He said he couldn't get to the rest of the chimney and left, leaving all our heat flowing out the hole. Temps at that time were below zero. I removed the rest of the chimney myself the next day and sealed up things as best as I could. Al didn't come back to work on it till Feb. 25, more than a month of ridiculous heat loss. Our energy bills more than doubled during that time. Only after calling him several times and warning of legal action did he respond to my calls. He then installed the fireplace insert wrong, stacked over16 ft. of class A chimney pipe on top with no support, and left a big hole where an attic insulation guard should be, never provided or installed chase cover I paid for. Lied when asked if he installed the blower. Left a hole in drywall, didn't connect fresh air return, basically left it unusable. The manufacturer’s rep told me the insert SHOULD NOT BE USED without the proper supports placed. Lamemaster (Alan Mason) told me I do not need a permit for him to do the job. The county informs me I do. He still has not completed the work; has told me more than six times, when I do finally talk with someone, that they will call me back to let me know when he will work on it. Then no one ever calls back. The most dishonest company I have ever dealt with, and I’m an old guy.

This was a great crew who got everything done as promised as perfectly as we could have imagined! We had a brick pad put in, but we made it a bit too small (our fault, not theirs), so they had to come out twice and did so promptly. We have been using the Timberwolf they sold us and installed, it works phenomenally. Al (the owner) was an extremely friendly person to work with. This has been a great experience and highly recommend. Thanks guys

Al seemed friendly and knowledgeable on the phone. We committed to a date and time to have a look to write an estimate. No faster way to lose customers than the "no call no show". I took time off of work to show Al my chimney issues, but he never arrived.

Sadly, we are in the same predicament as other recent reviews. Promised a service, money paid for "parts" and clearly more than just parts and now we are out a hefty sum and have No chimney/no working stove. I ordered my own wood stove and its here, so this is just for chimney and installation. He was scheduled beginning of October to install, realized he was missing parts, told 2 weeks. that turned into all of November. with vague, minimal responses to calls/emails/texts without a plan. He was quick to come and remove our old stove but he took the chimney parts and "gave them to his metal guy".. so we are out those pieces as I am selling the old stove. (that is over $1000 worth of parts to replace). We have demanded a refund and again, sitting here now 5 weeks later and no refund. our electric bills are triple normal now. Excuse after excuse after excuse is his motto. blames others for his lack of preparation and lack of business ethics. And his lack of Response for weeks on end is unprofessional. I filed with BBB November 30th and clearly he does not care as he never responded to them either, so he is suspended with BBB accreditation at this time. Should never come to this. Al, I believe, is a very nice man, sadly, business practices do not match this.

Al was very friendly and very good at his job. He installed a new igniter in our pellet stove and did a totally complete cleaning of the stove and the stove pipe.

We’re in the same boat as others. Al incorrectly installed a new pellet stove, creates unnecessary holes in the wall for the vent rather than using the original vent hole in the ceiling. The ceiling now leaks, the stove hasn’t worked for a year despite multiple attempts to get a hold of Al. We’ve called, left messages, stopped by the business with no response. The last we heard from him, over 6 months ago, was that he was going to replace the motherboard. That never happened. If anyone has had any luck with lawyers and suing him, please let me know. We spent over $10,000 and a year later are still without a working pellet stove. We are working with Midtown chimney sweep to help diagnose the problems and fix the issues Al created. We highly recommend Midtwon. Stay away from Flame Master! Read all of the one star reviews. We basically had the same experience. Flame Master is no longer accredited on the Better Business Bureau. Do not use this company!

Al came over to check out mystery noises from my chimney. He was prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough with the inspection. Much appreciate a reliable local go-to person for chimney inspections and questions. He's out of CO Springs and came up north to north CO Springs same day.

We have worked with Flame Master for many years on many projects. They are a best Chimney company we have ever worked with!

Al has been pretty good and first time we used him, he cleaned dyer vent and fixed gas fireplace as best as it could be and will need to be replaced in the future. This time he cleaned stove pipe and chimney screen but left soot all over the back porch and ground. It was just a mess i had to clean up.

We used Al and the Flamemasters about 3 years ago. Al is a very nice guy, but terrible at communicating and finishing the job. After about 8 months of trying to fix my fireplace and several no call no shows, the fireplace was “fixed”. We started a fire in May because it took so long and after 10min my wife came and got me and smoke had filled our living room. The only reason our fireplace eventually got fixed was because we had to hire a welder to fix the issue. While Al is a nice guy, I believe his business skills and knowledge aren’t worth the money. My biggest complaints were the lack of communication and how long it took to get the job finished. I wouldn’t recommend him and I’m actually shocked he’s still in business.

I had the best experience with them and could not recommend a better company. They were able to work with my severe environmental and chemical sensitivities including brainstorming creative ways to achieve results safe for my condition. 5+ stars!!!!! Best service around!!!!!

Very professional, in both his communication and the professional steam cleaner equipment. So I have to say I would use Rocky Mountain Carpet Cleaning in a heart beat. I called at about 3pm and have family and friends coming over the next day to help my wife and I move into a new house the carpets where black I had been shampooing for 3 days and still had really bad stains in one room. Given the situation he finished up another job came over and worked until 9pm after all the stains that I couldn't get out with our shampooer where gone, I asked him if he had time to redo what I had shampooed he said yes worked till 9pm did the whole house could not be more happy with the job.
He came in with a iPad and a laser measuring device mapped out all the rooms in software to have square footage and go over cost before starting. This is nice as now there is a file, I can call and ask for future work per room or the whole thing again and can give me the price per room. I did not expect for him to be able to drop everything the same day and help but had good reviews and called and asked, he not only showed up same day and stayed lated to get done our job done it was overall a better job then I was hoping. The start in our new house was completed with it just being clean!

Rocky Mountain Carpet Cleaning was exactly on time and within three hours completely cleaned our two-story home's 3000 sq ft of carpet. RMC did a great job, including moving some furniture and floor items. Very professional and thorough. Could not be more satisfied with the work. Thanks, Mike.

Highly recommended. I reserve 5-stars for businesses who exceed my expectations. The gentleman who came to clean my carpets was; on time (gave me a 2-hour window), personable (shook my hand, looked me in the eye, spoke respectfully), professional (knows all aspects of his business, brought all his own equipment, showed up right after snow storm), fast (walks and talks at the same time, moves swiftly through the job, doesn't loiter, quick phone responses to other clients), flexible (quoted the job before he started, included tile cleaning without another appointment). Carpets looked and smelled clean and fresh. Bada-Bing 5-stars!

I am happy to recommend Rocky Mountain Carpet Cleaning. They are quick, efficient, and have the right equipment for the job. Movie theater floors are always a challenge to keep looking clean and Mike does a spectacular job.

When my wife called to make an appointment Mike immediately answered the phone and came up with a day and time. He did an amazing job on cleaning our couches. We will definitely be using him again.

I continue to use Mike for both my office and my home. He is amazingly responsive, quick and professional. He took care of every type of stain from laundry detergent, coffee and pet stains. After trying several other cleaners in the area, he is the only one I'll call.

We would give Mike 10 stars if we could! We are so glad we found him. Our carpets look night and day different and so much better thanks to Mike! He was professional, personable and truly a joy to have in our home. We even spent time talking with him after. If you are looking for someone who is fantastic at what they do and a good human all around look no further. After one trip to our home we will be repeat customers !
