Three years ago, we met Sean Youngren with Custom Construction Services. We needed to replace our driveway, sidewalk, and porch steps. My husband and I were highly impressed with Sean. His vision of adding color to our porch step made it a unique work of art that blended beautifully with the new driveway and sidewalk. We found the work was impeccable as it was done by highly experienced people who took pride in their work. But, the one thing that makes CCS stand out is the customer service that goes beyond the completion date. Recently, a small leak from our roof created a stain on our porch step. I contacted CCS, and Sean called me back with a detailed solution. It's a rare thing to find that level of service these days.

I contracted CCS to replace my driveway, which was falling apart, and I also decided to replace my front walk. We scheduled a date and time, and they showed up exactly when we agreed. The job was done in one day, and the concrete looked very professionally poured. They put up caution tape and gave me a detailed list of care instructions. They also did some minor landscaping of my front lawn and laid down grass seed, to repair the damage their vehicles did. One month later, my driveway, sidewalk, and front lawn all look great! I will keep this company in mind if I need any more work done in this area.

TLS Custom Concrete added an apron and side stall next to our garage. We had an idea of how we wanted it done, but TLS took it to another level. We were very happy with their concept and craftsmanship. The crew was professional, courteous and their pricing is very reasonable. If you need any concrete work done, give TLS a call...you won't regret it!

I am so pleased with the entire process of working with CSS! They tore out an old stamped concrete patio and a short rock wall. They replaced the rock wall with bigger rocks, then laid pavers and filled in the edges with smaller rock,
Ashley in the office was kind and thorough. Andy in sales worked and reworked our plan and always promptly responded. He was there the morning the project started and it was great to have him walk through it all with us and the work crew. Umberto was the site supervisor and he and his crew were top notch! They worked hard and with perfection! I stood in awe! They were so respectful! Nick was the field manager that came by each day and made sure everything was as planned. I would highly recommend!

Custom Construction Services recently completed a driveway for my home in Eagan. Andy was the project lead. From start to finish they did a phenomenal job. There was never a time that I was unaware of what was going on. I had plenty of notice and then was instructed concerning the care and curing of the concrete. I have received several compliments on the workmanship. It looks fantastic. Very happy with the results. I will defiantly use Custom Construction Services in the future. Thank you all so much.

I would recommend this company if you are in need of doors. They were half the price of a competitor and the same quality and type of doors. We even had a custom front door and they made it very affordable. We did have a little mix up with one of our keyless entries that we wanted to keep and Mike went out of his way to find the missing piece that was taken with the old door. They were neat and cleaned up everything and covered the floor and rugs with plastic as to keep any dust down. I would use them again!

Steve and Travis did a fantastic job. Great communication the entire time. We had just painted the walls and installed new carpet. The room they had to access was past the remodeled area. It was raining and we had landscaping going on. Mud everywhere outside. This was a minefield of difficultly. They left no trace and no scuffs inside once finished. They also did our garage floor beautifully.

We had CCS do a stamped concrete patio job for us. The results are fantastic. Sean was amazing to work with and his suggestions really helped us navigate the design phase. The crew on the build day was efficient and also super personable (my kids loved watching the equipment in action).

Our back yard, front, and sides around the house needed a complete overhaul after 40 years of neglect. We interviewed multiple companies looking for an experienced Trusted Advisor and CCS rose to the top.
One of the most important factors in selecting CCS was their experience and expertise in guiding the design process. We needed a ton of help as we didn’t know what we didn’t know. Sean, the project manager fit the bill perfectly.
In the back they installed a patio retaining wall, stamped concrete patio, and the rest of the back yard was graded, put down black dirt and seeded. I have included before and after pictures.
Around the sides and front of the house they graded, put down decorative rock, and installed edging pavers.
Quality materials and a skilled workforce resulted in a wonderful transformation.

We purchased our house and soon realized the hill our garage sat on was unstable. The retaining wall holding the hill was failing. We knew that garage floor needed replacing as well as the driveway. It all came to a head and we were a little overwhelmed. We had different contractors come out and bid. Custom Construction came out and explained why the garage floor and retaining wall were failing and that they were connected in a way. They presented their detailed plan for the garage floor, driveway and boulder wall. They explain why and how their plan would fix it. Sean was amazing through out the process. If I thought something didn’t look right and asked Sean or the crew took time to explain it. I could go on and on. Bottom line they did great work and were great to work with. 2 1/2 years later the all three are holding up and Sean has helped me by answering questions on how to maintain them. If you have a project go with Custom Construction. They are worth every penny and stand behind their work.

Jose' and his whole team did a marvelous job on our lower backyard patio. The team was neat, thorough, and meticulous during the two day job! We were very please on the outcome of the finished product!!

The team at Custom Construction Services were phenomenal from start to finish. They were not the lowest bid we received but they were the best at listening to what we wanted to achieve and making helpful suggestions to get us a final result that we are thrilled with.
The crew arrived on time and communicated clearly throughout the project, keeping us informed and involved. If you want a company that includes you and makes certain that you are valued, Custom Construction Services are the best.

I posted a questiom in the Nextdoor app and Rory from Gardner's replied back that he could take a look at the addition on my house that was sloping. He gave me many options to choose from on how best to fix the situation. Rory and his team were very courteous and finished the project quickly and it was affordable.

I recently hired Gardner Construction, Inc. for a major home update and loved working with this team! I felt like I could really trust them and their expertise! I would gladly recommend them to my friends and family.

Had Scott out for an estimate on installing drain tile and sump pump in our crawl space. Very nice and professional and great quote. Had five other companies out that had ridiculous repair ideas in mind, much higher quotes and two additional companies wouldn't even come out because it was a crawl space. When I called Scott about a month later telling him we would go with his bid he came out with his crew within a week, (everyone else was months away). The three of them worked their butts off in very high heat and finished within the day. Job looked great, everything was cleaned up meticulously and I now have complete faith in their work and will rest easy when the spring thaws come again. Thanks again Scott and crew!!!

We had Gardner Construction install new front steps and path at a house in St. Louis Park and could not be happier with the work. I will be referring Gardner to all future clients for their concrete work!

I gave these guys a tough one, swim spa slab on a grade connecting into an existing patio. They did a great job coming up with a solution and delivering on it with minimal impact to the rest of my yard. They have also been very responsive during the process, came out quickly for an initial quote and arrived on time to start the job.

The result is a multi-level pad connecting starting at a sliding door, step down to where the swim spa will be and a down sloped sidewalk connecting all that to another patio at the bottom of the slope. Even with all that complexity the final price ended up same as the quote.

Fantastic experience. Finished product beat my expectations. We had an eyesore of an outdoor sump basin that kept pushing up out of the ground. Very few contractors knew how to deal with outdoor sump pumps. We also had the area next to the house done since it had settled so much in the last 15 years. They graded the area and put down all the waterproofing next to the foundation, the weed barrier and new rock. They made the sump basin invisible and yet easy to get to for winterizing. It all looks just beautiful! To me this was a great value - the sweet spot where a job well done meets a reasonable price. We have several other projects we want to do and we will definitely sign them up. Highly recommend this company. High integrity and pride in their work. Thanks Roger and Crew! You're the best!

Had Gardner Construction fix the outer area of a foundation - fixed some joints and applied concrete stucco. Really great work! Easy to communicate with, professional and efficient. Went beyond and helped regrade an an area, even replanted the plants! 100% recommend!

I hired Gardner to replace a portion of my basement floor. In the discussion with both the sales guy who came out for the estimate and the crew that did the work, I stated that my primary goal was to have a smooth flat floor. The crew that came out to do the work were good to work with at the time and professional. Once the floor dried, I discovered that the joints between the old floor and the new floor were poorly done. The new floor had a large hump in the middle right where I would walk and had a significant slope between the old and new floor to the point you can tell you are walking uphill. When I placed a 4’ level on just the floor they installed, I had over an inch of height difference. While I understand that some slope may have been needed to meet the existing floor, this was unacceptable.

The area around a floor drain in the new area was poorly done. The drain should have been ½” below the new floor. When they were finished, the floor drain was at least 2” below the new floor with the high points of the floor being a circle around the floor drain about a foot out from it. Obviously, no water will ever run to the drain. There is ample evidence that the floor was hand troweled to its final shape. It seems to me that if a bull float had been used, the hump would have been evident and could have been removed. The area with the hump is fully accessible while standing on the original concrete. They had a screed with a built-in level, so I can’t figure out why the floor is so sloped.

I contacted my project manager and had him out the next business day. He agreed that it was not well done and that there were issues. He went back to the office and came back with an offer to replace a section of the problem floor or refund me $400. The original price for this job was $6,440. I responded that replacing just a part of the floor would not fix anything and would just cause more issues. I asked for them to fix their work or at least for a refund of $1200. They immediately took the refund offer.

It is now coming up on a month later; I'm now out $5,140.00 and I am still trying to fix their work and get my laundry room floor finished and usable. After saving up for years and refinancing just to do this project, I could not have been more disappointed.

Roger and his team installed a concrete patio and resurfaced our front steps. They were excellent the entire time, asking good questions to make sure they fully understood what we wanted and keeping us in the loop on their updates and plans. They provided excellent service and a great quality of work. Would hire for any concrete needs.
