Terrific business ... wonderful family! Rodriguez and Sons ... and Brothers ... and Nephews ... and Wife care about their work. I built an addition to my home in West Davis. They did a professional job of setting up the Foundation. Now that I'm wrapping up the project, they laid the walkway, entrance, and patio with stamped concrete. Beautiful work!

Rodriquez & Sons Construction has been an absolute pleasure to work with from the very start of getting a detailed bid for the work to the actual final product. An absolute beautiful job with the foundation footings to the garage slab. They know what they are doing and take great pride in delivering a finished product. As a family owned and operated business Rodriquez and Sons are a delight to work with.

I been in the commercial construction business for 40+ years. I have also rebuilt or built all my own homes and personal buildings. And I must say, Rodriguez Concrete knows their business! They are professional, a pleasure to deal with, honest, hard working, technically savvy and know how to place and finish concrete well. I have no reservations whatsoever about recommending them highly. I’d use them any day of the week, and will again. If I could 10 stars I would.

While walking in an adjacent neighborhood, I encountered the Rodriquez and Sons Concrete Construction crew working on walkways and a driveway for a residential project. I watched them work as a smooth, coordinated team and later examined their completed work. Their stunning, finished project motivated me to contact them for bid for an extensive (10 yards of concrete) patio at my house.

Gustavo Rodriquez Sr. and Gustavo Rodriquez Jr. visited our proposed project, carefully noted our preferences for the patio, and made a set of recommendations to improve our patio design. Subsequently they provided a bid which was comprehensive and detailed. The bid was fair and reasonable; they were polite, professional, and sensitive to our preferences. We were happy to accept their bid.

After explaining their busy schedule, they scheduled our project and began working on the scheduled date. Tons of dirt were excavated to make sure the 2 x 6 forms could be set for eventual perfect patio drainage. A significant amount of time was spent making sure all elevations were precise. The city inspector complement the crew on their footing-rebar work and post-anchors settings (Simpson CBS 66 for 6 x 6 posts for the patio cover) for the large footings. The soil was compacted, compact material added to insure a solid base, compacting took place, and the detailed and precise rebar-grid was installed: all will contribute to the long term stability of the concrete patio.

When the concrete truck and pumper unit arrived, everyone on the Rodriquez team knew exactly their responsibilities. They worked together as a seasoned team, making sure all phases of the pour and finishing were performed to insure a solid finished project. The concrete mix met the standards on engineered plans and concrete additives were mixed to insure a high quality finished product. Their bid included stamping and coloring which made the finished patio unique and beautiful – the extra price for stamping and coloring was fair and reasonable. It was special to watch them work. Their fun way of interacting with each order never interfered with their work.

When the Rodriquez crew departed, we said “wow!” At that time we really liked the patio. But after several months, we like the patio even more and appreciate their work even more. Their finished, perfect elevations are remarkable. We appreciate hidden detail work which we missed while watching them work. We plan to request Rodriquez and Sons complete another project: a new driveway plus a walk way. We discussed this project with them before the patio pour and Gustavo Sr. explained how the patio pour will tie into our next project-- very creative !

The first time I ordered concrete off-the-truck, the price was $35 a yard. Since then, the price of everything in construction has increased. However, there was no price shock when we reviewed the Rodriquez and Sons Concrete Construction bid for our patio. We never tried to bargain down for a lower price. At the end of the job, they never requested additional funds to cover unforeseen expenditures.

All sub-prices and time estimates specified on their detailed bid were fair and reasonable. The total price was fair and reasonable.

Rodriguez and Sons did a great job removing my old garage concrete floor and putting in a new one. The new finished garage floor looks great. They also reinforced the garage by putting in new footings. They were very professional, efficient and always on time. At the end of each day they cleaned the job site. Don’t wait hire this company! Gustavo and his father were very professional when they came to bid the job. Gave me multiple options and discussed there professional opinion of the pros and cons of different finishes to the concrete. They used AB rock and rebar to insure strength and longevity of the driveway. The work turned out phenomenal! We get complimented on our driveway all the time by neighbors. We will eventually redo the backyard pathway and will not hesitate to hire them again.

Cristobal Concrete Construction has done wonderful work at our recently purchased home. They replaced our root damaged driveway and sidewalk. They also put in a border between lawns and flower beds, a new sidewalk in the back yard and extended out our patio. The quality of their work was beyond what we expected. Their high energy crew were very friendly, attended to detail and were willing to work with the several changes we asked for. They were always on time and on schedule from the initial demolition of the old driveway to the final cement finishing and cleanup. We were truly blessed by them and highly recommend them to everyone!

Amazing, quality work! We told Rolando what we wanted, sketched it out, and he later came back with awesome rough sketches that were exactly what we were looking to have done for a backyard design. He incorporated tinted concrete for walls and stepping areas. He is a master at grading and understands the right way to drain a large area and retaining wall planters. Couldn’t be more happier with his price, honesty, and willingness to work with us and do a lot of extras he never mentioned, without playing the pricing game that other companies do.
