Earlier today I called Ben Franklin asking for my septic tank to be cleaned out. This company assigned a truck to arrive on the day I called.
Sam, the guy doing the work, was very conscientious. Thorough. Fast. He emptied my tank significantly better than any other septic service I have ever used. I will gladly talk with anyone who wants details.

Without doubt, this company does a superlative job at a reasonable cost.

Mike did a safety inspection on my boiler and hot water heater. With his help I now have a better idea of my needs going forward. He provided options on several direction for the future. I would happily give Mike and Ben Franklin my work in the future.

I had a great experience with Ben Franklin Plumbing! Elliot was professional, friendly, and really knew his stuff. He took the time to explain everything and made sure I understood all my options before starting any work. I could tell he truly had my best interests in mind and cared about doing the job right. Highly recommend them for anyone looking for honest, dependable, and customer-focused plumbing service!

Ben Williams was my technician very friendly and helpful went through all my options repairs were done very fast. Was respectful coming in my house and around my cat. I will be having him come back later to finish more projects

We just had a pipe freeze and burst after the cold windy weather we have been having. We called Benjamin Franklin and they sent Joseph Trehy within a couple hours of calling after other companies said we may have to wait a whole week. He was very friendly and highly knowledgeable. He showed us exactly where the problem was and explained why it occurred. Then he clearly explained our options and was able to fix it on the spot. After this experience, we will definitely be calling them first next time we have any plumbing issues.

$1200+ for a simple toilet repair! 15-20 dollars in parts. That’s some markup!

Vinny came by and fixed our leaking shower in a little under 3 hours. He was very nice and did excellent work. It's a bit pricy, but I'll pay for quality work.

The Tech was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. They were able to schedule an appointment within 24 hours, however, needed to move the arrival window due to an issue at another site.

The biggest concern was the price. I was charged close to $1500 for installation of a $400 part and this was with a "discount".

I'm uncertain if I would use them again unless there was an emergency.

Understandable explanation of what was needed and why, very courteous and pleasant mannerism and extremely helpful with several gas and water line problems.

Cassidy in the office kept me posted very well all along. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Ryan W. Came out to our house to repair a burst heating pipe located in a void on the second floor of our house. He was very courteous, polite, knowledgeable and professional in doing his job. He explained everything he was going to do and provide other options for the repair. He performed the repair in a timely fashion and cleaned up all his mess. It would be a honor to have him assigned to us again if the time ever comes again.

We purchased a new natural gas heating system last January 2025, today,,, no heat or hot water. 😜,,glad my surgery was canceled,,because of the snow & cold weather,, thermostat set on 68/70. Long story short,,,, JR. Green very nice guy. 30 yrs experience. Came here, an explained in lay man's terms, if it happens again to my husband..... BFP provided septic services for my home. I highly recommended them. Their use of communication technology is superb, and their response time was just what I needed—immediate. Eric Card performed the service, and a helpful text pinged in when he arrived. It shared his picture, and I knew who I was dealing with. He diagnosed my situation expertly and shared his knowledge in a friendly, confident way. A+ firm. I will definitely hire them again.

Robert did a fantastic job at diagnosing and fixing our kitchen faucet issue. He arrived right at the specified time , replaced our broken kitchen faucet and also inspected the rest of plumbing in the house. Explained what was done and was very friendly and knowledgeable! AAA experience with Robert!

I'm leaving a five star review for Elliot my technician. He was friendly and engaging. He was full of information about my specific needs for my house system and the alternative of a change to propane. All though we did not connect on this project I would refer this company based on what I learned from Elliot.

I had a broken water pipe that needed immediate repair, and Ben from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing did an excellent job. The plumber was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient from start to finish. He clearly explained the issue, fixed it properly, and made sure everything was working before leaving. The work was done cleanly and with care, and the whole experience was stress-free. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing reliable plumbing service.

I had a gas leak in my basement and called Benjamin Franklin plumbing of Andover, CT to come and fix, upon that call I was told that there was a fee of $79 for them to come and ASSESS the problem, when they got here they went to the basement and looked at the pipes, didn’t do anything else but looked at the pipes, then they told me that they needed to go to the van to provide an estimate, at this point I was thinking:”wow, these guys are good, only looked at the gas pipes and already know what the problem is to give me an estimate “, little did I know that the estimate they were preparing was how much they would charge me to give me an estimate to fix. They wanted $438 just to find the problem, then they would give me another estimate to fix the problem. Of course I refused to pay, I told them that I would pay the $79 for them to assess the problem and give me an estimate to fix. They refused and told me that, since I wouldn’t hire them to do the job they had to collect the $79. I told them that, since they didn’t do anything, didn’t assess the problem either I wouldn’t pay the $79 also, at which point they resorted to blackmail, said they would call Eversource and report the gas leak and that Eversource would shut off my gas. I told them to do whatever they want, but that they wouldn’t see a penny of mine and I put them out of my house. However, calling Eversource was the best thing they did for me, a technician came, assessed the problem, only shut off gas valve to the water heather, which was where the problem presented, so I had my heater and my stove working. Next day I called an honest plumbing company that came and repaired the leak for $285. Now, if Benjamin Franklin plumbing charges $438 just to give you an estimate, imagine how much they would charge to actually fix the problem? I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

Nick was very helpful, and a great young man. We really enjoyed meeting him. Also my contact with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing was very pleasant and personable to begin with inspite of some mixup on information due to a system error with the Holiday. Everything worked out well. Well see how the work goes tomorrow as today was the overview & estimate.

5 stars for the service tech! He throughly explained the issues and provided various options for the repairs. Answered all my questions. He cleaned up and didn’t leave any trace he was even here. Overall 3 stars because the price seemed steep.

Elliot was a great salesmen and was honest which is hard to find nowadays. He told me what is a must fix and gave me a great scope of work. The company also gave me an amazing price on a new install of my oil tank.

Nick, melichai and gentry were punctual, friendly and gave me a great time line of what was happening step by step. I could not be more please with how this turned out and this company. They quoted me and showed up the next day to complete the work and it’s amazing. Thank you and I would definitely recommend hiring them! If I have a plumbing issue in the future they will be my first call!

Ryan is knowledgeable and attentive. He listened to and responded to my questions and concerns and was patient in explaining things and writing them down for me. He did a great job replacing the works under the kitchen sink and installing a water filter. Would absolutely put my trust in him again.

I had major water damage in my house due to 3 burst pipes that froze up when my furnace malfunctioned. I contacted Ben Franklin late on Sunday afternoon and within the hour I received a call from the owner. I explained my situation and he said he would have someone contact me in the morning. At 7:15 on Monday morning I received a text message that a technician was on the way. He (Rob Williamson) arrived at my house around 7:45am! Incredible!
He was able to locate the first of 3 burst pipes and repaired that one by 11:30. Turns out I needed major repair on my furnace including a new zone valve and a relay part that he had to order.
He worked straight thru until after5pm and was joined by his manager Brian.
I can honestly say these two were phenomenal! Both were compassionate to my situation, were very detailed on what they diagnosed the problem to be and what the required fix would entail.
I found this entire experience (except of course dealing with all the inconveniences) to be a very satisfying one and would not hesitate for a second to refer this company to anyone in need of plumbing work!
