We called to have an estimate and in less than 3 weeks, they were here. They were very efficient and cleaned up all of the debris from both my yard and my driveway. Very professional and I couldn't be happier! I will only use them for any other tree services I will need in the future. Amazing job!

I was looking for a few yards of mulch, preferably a dark brown fine mulch to freshen up the landscape of my daughters new home. Not being from this area I started making cold calls to companies based on internet searches. There weren't a lot of companies that would accommodate small quantities until I called Grimshaw. The lady on the phone made me feel comfortable buying the mulch sight unseen. They were able to the deliver the next day at a time that worked well for me. The driver was right on time and the mulch was amazing, deep brown finely ground. Really made the yard look great. Will keep their info handy for some possible tree work in the future, and definitely more mulch!

Fabulous service. They removed a large pine tree from my 85 YO mothers home. They made her feel comfortable and even saved a bird nest and decorated with Christmas ornaments for Mom.

Stay away if you don't want to be bankrupt. Our condo recently got tree work done that I owned a unit in (very small condo association, just a couple of townhouses), here is how it happened:

1. Owners got an email a couple of weeks before the work was scheduled to be done, with a very vague but high estimate cost.

2. So we went out to get extra quotes from professional local businesses (much closer to the condo association than this place) that have been in the tree business for decades with much more and higher reviews and also well known locally. They would do the same job for half of what we were quoted from this place. The manager and the owner of this place must have known each other. There is no possible way to refuse a much cheaper quote for the same work from local professionals.

3. We tried calling up this place to ask for a copy of the quote, they refused to elaborate (due to the policy that we as unit owners are not paying for the job), lol where do the condo association got the money from besides the monthly HOA fees paid by the unit owners?

4. The invoice (same exactly job that was quoted) that we later received from the condo manager turned out to be much higher than the estimate we got before.

My employer is a repeat customer of Grimshaw's and has never been disappointed. They have the most up to date equipment and top notch workers filled with a lot of knowledge and experience. They are careful to protect the area around the tree leaving it looking the same as it was before. They do a wonderful cleaning up. You will be happy with the service they provide.

Crew showed up on-time, introduced themselves and got to work. It was very interesting to see the organization of the work between the crane and ground crews. Very efficient and safe operation. Work area was left clean and looked great. This is the service to call! Great job!

Grimshaw cut down a huge oak tree and pruned many ornamental trees on my property. I couldn't be more pleased with their work. They were wonderful to work with. They worked skillfully and efficiently and kept us informed all the way. Our property was left so clean, you would never know they had been here! I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We are repeat customers of Grimshaw Tree Service. We have had large trees removed previously, some in awkward to reach areas. They have the knowledge, experience, and equipment to tackle such jobs.
More recently, we had tree pruning done throughout the property, including branches resting on the house.
From beginning to end the service from the Grimshaw crew is superior! The initial walk-through to discuss needs/quotes, the work itself, and the cleanup were all seamless. Working with all the staff (in the office or on the ground) was a pleasant experience.

We used Grimshaw Tree Service to trim all of my neighbor's branches that were hanging over onto our property and to remove a tree stump. Our experience with Grimshaw was great. Right from the initial telephone call, to Gary coming over to look at the trees & providing an estimate to Eileen & Jane in the office to Jonathan & the team for their hard work trimming everything and cleaning up. We found everyone to be very professional, knowledgeable, on-time, was very careful with the equipment on the lawn and reasonably priced. Without hesitation we would use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

Grimshaw Tree Service provided excellent service from start to finish. The team was extremely skilled, efficient and pleasant to work with throughout the day, patiently answering all our questions and concerns. Despite the soggy weather they managed to bring a heavy crane into our yard and leave the area very clean and without damage at the end of the day. Because of their service we are repeat customers. I could not be more happy with the service I got today from Grimshaw Tree Service. I had a hard to reach gigantic tree fall in my back yard that was not easily accessible and another one connected to it that looked like it would fall on the house. Another tree service came out and gave me a quote but after a few weeks decided they couldn’t do it , saying there was no way to get to it and they could not think of any other tree service in the area that would be able to remove it. They said that it was impossible and too dangerous. I called Grimshaw. They came out the same day to check it out and immediately sent me a quote . They were able to show up shortly after that appointment and remove the downed tree, and also climb and cut down the giant tree , piece by piece, that the other company said was impossible. They were really friendly, professional, and super considerate about my yard and the surrounding trees and plants. They cleaned up everything that came from both trees and even used the blower to clean up anything left over. I am really impressed. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone needing tree service.

The crew from Grimshaw just finished. They did an outstanding job trimming out the dead wood from two large oak trees. The precision and skill is above and beyond my expectations! This is the third job they have done for me. I couldn’t be more pleased with their work!

The crew was amazing - profgessional, willing to answer questions and knowledgeable in their responses, cleaned up their workspace (cleaner than when they arrived !). If I could give a higher score I definitely would

My new homeowner's insurance policy was going to be canceled two weeks before renewal due to tree limbs overhanging the house. I called multiple arborists and the most responsive was Grimshaw - they had the best price too. They provide a very modern, professional, and easy to understand system for quotes, invoices and payments. They finalized the schedule for the work over the weekend and they were able to work with my schedule.

On the day of the work, the crew arrived early and they were well informed of the scope for the work. They made sure to clear the work area and used proper safety equipment. They worked carefully over my new roof and left the work area cleaner than it was when they arrived.

I had a paid invoice to provide to my insurer the day of the work. With some before and after photos added, the insurance policy was renewed on time and I did not have a lapse in coverage.

Without solicitation from the company, I gladly recommend Grimshaw.

Thank you so much to Ken and Jake for sculpting a couple of my trees this past week. The roof is clear and everything looks great!

We heard that Grimshaw was highly rated for excellent work. Due to recommendations from a friend doing landscaping for us - we hired them to do tree/brush removal for a large project in the woods on the hill behind our home. Our contract clearly stated 8hrs of work to include tree removal with wood chipped and blown into the woods. Due to challenging weather - they brought down the trees but then left without chipping/blowing. We were waiting for them to return to finish the work when the weather improved - instead we received a bill! When I called to ask when they would return - I was told that the job was completed and wood was chipped as per our contractual agreement. When I explained that it wasn’t done - the woman on the phone (owner) was shocked. I was told Laith (her son) would call to discuss - he didn’t call for over a month, we continued to be billed. Ultimately, Laith refused to return to finish the work without additional payment. He actually told me “you should find a company who uses migrant workers” - as his ‘solution’ to our problem. We are now left with 8 huge brush piles (see pics) littering our play area and scrambling to find another company to complete the job. The terrain is challenging - Laith agreed to work that he later found difficult and rather than discussing with me or finding another way to do it - he simply chose to break his contract and leave us with a mess. Of no surprise, Grimshaw developed its exceptional reputation under the wonderful management of Fred - Laith’s father. The company has since passed down to his son who clearly is unable to carry on the family business with the same level of commitment and pride as his predecessor.
I’m sure they do great work for easy jobs, they’re also very friendly and seem professional at first. However, beware if you have a challenging project. If he bites off more than he can chew - apparently he simply spits it out.
Of note - I still gave 2 stars because despite the lack of completion, they did bring the trees down.

Hands down the best team around! We have used them many times now and they have always been professional, friendly and easy to work with. I am always grateful for their expertise as well!! 15/10 would recommend.

Grimshaw Tree Service took down a large branch from an oak tree overhanging a lake. It had to be accessed by one their expert climbers with each cut's descent controlled by ropes. It was amazing to watch. These guys are real pros!
