Solar system install was completed in one day. The crew of guys that installed the system were respectful, neat, and fast. Would recommend this company to any one.

We hired United Better Homes in 2022 to replace windows, remove and install kitchen cabinets and plumbing, install luxury vinyl flooring and more in 3 rental apartments in Central Falls. They did excellent work, very knowledgeable, great eye for detail, and were very easy to work with. Best of all, they are dedicated to doing the job right, unlike many other contractors we have hired over the years. We will definitely hire them again.

Edit: 9/16/25 - I feel the need to add that I did email the manager at United Better Homes when the project took a turn and they never replied. Neither did they personally reach out once I made this post. But thank you for making the time to reply to my public online comment.

I would never recommend United Better Homes. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and disappointing.

They installed the gutters before replacing the roof—despite originally telling us the gutters would be done after the roof so they could be measured properly. We were told there would be about a week’s delay to allow time for ordering parts, but that never happened. They did the opposite of what they promised without any explanation.

To make matters worse, they marked the project as complete and collected final payment even though the garage gutters hadn’t even been installed. We had to follow up multiple times to get them to return and finish the work—not only to install the remaining gutters but also to fix the new ones they had already damaged during the roofing process.

They blamed weather delays, but it was clear that wasn’t the whole story. The communication was poor, and their scheduling seemed disorganized.

One of the most serious issues: nails were left everywhere—in our yard, in our neighbors’ yards, on the driveway—posing a major safety hazard. I have a child and a dog, and it was completely unacceptable. I ultimately had to hire a professional to come and clean up the debris. Even after that, I’m still finding nails.

This is my second home and second roof replacement, and the first company I worked with was far more careful, clean, and professional. United Better Homes left a level of mess and disorganization that I’ve never experienced with a contractor before.

If you’re looking for reliability, accountability, and safety on your home project, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Awesome experience. I knew I’d have to get a new roof eventually but was scared it would be an overwhelming process. Stephen R talked me through it and made it simple and an extremely successful experience. Love the way it came out. Would recommend

We had a new deck installed and everything was beyond expectations. The team was in time, well organized, and highly skilled. Deck looks great! Highly recommended them!!

If we could give more than 5 stars we definitely would. First thing is my husband and I appreciate so much the Professionalism and Honesty from Juila, she showed us how this company does things and made sure we understood everything. The work was outstanding, we had new boards put down with synthetic under layment then brand new shingles. The job this team did was very Professional, they cleaned up so we'll afterwards, I couldn't find anything on the ground. Kevin, who was the supervisor answered all of our questions and made sure it was all done in one day. The pricing was very reasonable which always makes things easier for us. We highly recommend this company for any roofing that needs to be done. Thank you, Julia, Kevin and your team!!

Had a very good experience with my solar system installation. Everyone at better homes are very responsive and delivered on time before December deadline.

UBH did an incredible job for us. Started with replacing our older roof, then upgrading our electric service and installing our solar system. They left everything clean when they were done and even sent a crew back to plaster the area around the new electric service where the wall needed to be opened up further. They also took care of obtaining necessary building permits and then the follow up inspections. Highly recommend them.

We went with United Better homes for our solar in April 2024 and are very displeased with their lack of customer service in resolving the issues that they create. When we spoke with them during our first summer of 2024 after getting panels they said that we have to wait to compare it with next summer-summer of 2025 comes around and oh sorry it’s more than 12 months after install and it’s your ac. Now it’s the end of 2025 and we are dealing with electric bills and our solar commitments. Blah blah excuse excuse.

Do not go with this company-it must be a scam. It’s been months of avoided voicemails or emails. They string you along for a while with all excuses, redirect you to RISE to see how you can make your home more energy efficient, and then stop calling you. Meanwhile, the rates you were promised are a lie and the cost goes up but your solar production is going down?! Their voicemail boxes are always full. Honestly looks like we need to look into legal actions to resolve this.

United Better Homes, took care of insulating my attic and a few other things that needed to be done to my home and I have to say that I am extremely happy with their work and professionalism. The team was on time and straight to work. The also did an excellent job at answering all of my question and listening to my concerns. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

United Better Homes – Roofing, Solar & Window just finished my project, and I couldn’t be happier. This was a big job — new roof, five skylights, sun tunnels, and solar — and they made the entire process easy and stress‑free. Any time something came up, they handled it immediately and without excuses. The whole team, from the office to the crew on site, showed professionalism, integrity, and real care for their customers. I now have a gorgeous roof, beautiful sun tunnels, five new skylights, and an awesome solar system. UBH earned every bit of this review.

I needed to get my roof done and happened to meet these guys while they were talking to my neighbor. I worked with AJ and Derek to sort out a new roof and a solar installation to take advantage of the rebates we still have going. Everything was done very quickly, the town holding up permits was the biggest wait. The roof took one day, and upgrading my line input to 200 amps and installing all of the solar and a new breaker box took another day. Everything was very professionally done and the attention to detail was very good. Now I don't have to worry about my roof for another 25-30 years. I'm now just waiting on the power company to allow me to activate the system which can take some time. Pricing was slightly higher than the bargain basement companies but the work was fast and top notch. You get what you pay for with this kind of work, and you don't want to be calling them back next year for a leak because of substandard components.

I reached out to these guys because I recently bought a house that needed a new roof and my friend had an excellent experience with them when he replaced his. I have to say I was not disappointed. Brian and Ed were great, they walked me through everything and made me feel really comfortable with the work that was being done. The work got scheduled and completed incredibly quickly and my new roof looks great.

I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism of United Better Homes from the sales of solar for our home to the installation.
Jesse, our salesman, was informed, professional, courteous, and patient during the decision making. He kept me informed along the way with the permitting process. Jesse even checked in on the day of installation to make sure all went well.
The installation crew was great. They were patient with my questions. Drew, the electrician crew chief, answered all my questions about the meters and controls for the panels. I believe it was Dave that headed the panel installation crew. That crew was efficient and clean.
When everything was said and done I highly recommend United Better Homes for Solar. From the work I saw I would thing their other work would follow suit.

I purchased a load of stone for my 76 year-old mother's vegetable and flower gardens from GT Excavations Corporation. George and his brother went out of their way to help my mother and I with our small project, even opening their gate during hours when they are normally closed. Pricing for the stone was also generous. GT Excavations Corp clearly prioritizes their customer's experience rather than their own profits, a refreshing conclusion in an ever-encroaching corporate America. I highly recommend GT Excavations Corp!

The negative experience I had with this company was so all encompassing that I'm shocked they're even in business. Literally nothing about the entire process was even remotely more than a 1 star performance. They were hired by the sellers of a home I purchased to replace the septic system. Rick, the lead guy, was a very poor communicator. It was like he was going to try and do the entire project without talking to me at all initially. Finally I get the guy to agree to a start date, but then afterward nobody on the crew could even say "hi" throughout the entire day. It was honestly uncomfortable even having them around. They were so awkward and unprofessional. Even blocking my wife's car in multiple times and just leaving it there until we asked for them to move. Our driveway is huge and there was plenty of room for this to not have to happen yet it did over and over.

On to the next issue. They said they had to "trim" some trees back to get through my backyard and I agreed. They take the bucket of the excavator and just run it down the sides of my trees absolutely trashing them. They even left large sized limbs just dangling there waiting to fall on one of my kids. They destroyed around four trees that the previous owner said he'd planted over 30 years ago along with ten or so arborvitaes.

Still not done. Rick then tells me they're not going to fill the old septic tank since it's under the deck. I suggested that seems unsafe and Rick assured me that it's no big deal. Halfway through the conversation I just had this bad feeling that he was intentionally lying to me. He just kept stumbling over his words and couldn't make eye contact. Sure enough when I called the town inspector they agreed it was unsafe and against code. I had to have the inspector call Rick to force him into following code and after that Rick and the entire team became even more uncommunicative. The guy was actively trying to avoid me at that point.

So because of the complete lack of communication I had no idea when they would need my plumber to be there. The day they needed him Rick just says he'll tie in the plumbing himself. I thought "oh, maybe he's understanding my experience here and he's trying to make up for it." Wrong. The guy ties in the plumbing so far out of code it looked like a teenager did it. My plumber came through last minute that day and just told them to stop what they were doing and he had to go back and fix it. The plumbing they had done would absolutely have led to major issues in the future.

But, wait, there's more! They did a very mediocre job re-grading my lawn and the reseed was a joke. I watched the guy scurry through the yard as quickly as possible putting down barely any seed. On top of that the back fill and grading they did around the septic tank was awful. I now have a very defined rectangle with sides that go about 8-10 inches below grade in my yard. It's like they didn't even try to hide it.

Finally, the cherry on top was the leech field vent. The infamous candy cane that you end up with in your yard. They decided to put it about six feet away from the wood line so I have this ugly candy cane sticking up 3 feet out of the ground. They could have dug this trench another six feet and completely hid this thing in the woods, but they were in such a rush to just get out of here that they left it. They didn't even tell me when they were done. They just packed up and left. I needed paperwork for my home loan that proved the work was done and weeks went by without any contact from the company. Finally we get ahold of them and it's like pulling teeth to get him to give us the document.

Every single facet of hiring a company to do your septic system went very poorly with this company. Again, I'm shocked they're even in business. The worst contracting experience I've ever had, honestly.

We hired George from Gt excavating corp to level and hydroseed our front yard. George and Santino, we're both professional and quick with the job. George paid attention to detail and repeatedly checked in with us to make sure it was being done to our liking. We are beyond happy with our decision to hire Gt excavating corp. We will be definitely calling again for our next project. Thank you again for the awsome job and understanding our vision for our yard.

You need to teach your employees how to drive. This vehicle was swerving in and out of traffic cutting people off Today on 295. Driving like a maniac.
