We had a great experience with everyone at Backyard Oasis. They were all very nice and helpful, and we really appreciate all the information that was provided to us, to walk us through the process of new construction. Jody created a beautiful design exactly like we wanted and made us feel comfortable going into the project. Josh was excellent at overseeing all aspects of the construction! He is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He was very patient with answering our questions and always kind and professional. We love our beautiful pool and spa!

As this was our first time building a pool, we were thorough in choosing our designer/builder relative to cost, quality & reputation. While we have a good-sized backyard, we needed to be creative when it came to the size of our pool while incorporating a Summer Kitchen & Dinner Table + Lounge under a pergola.

The attached pictures are from 1 year after build as well as design graphics. I included design graphics to provide a reference for how our final build turned out better than the design (amazing!).

Due to the quality design & build, we've had 3 neighbors place orders since visiting our pool & summer kitchen over the past year. (1 did a major pool rebuild + summer kitchen, while 2 others did summer kitchens using our design.)

*** BID STAGE ***
Based on Google Reviews & neighbor recommendations, we considered 3 builders & came away with the following results:

• COST: Backyard Oasis came in at the mid-point on price but was most helpful when we needed to make changes that would keep us within budget.
• QUALITY: Compared to the highest bid, Backyard Oasis provided the same material options as far as pool build materials & comparable options in terms of summer kitchen.
• REPUTATION: We spoke with local realtors regarding which pool builders they recommend. Backyard Oasis was consistently the #1 choice.

*** DESIGN STAGE ***
A key deciding factor for us was the quality of the design. While we had each builder offer their own independent design, Backyard Oasis was the only one that matched our needs & maximized our use of space. The other 2 builders refused to incorporate the vast unused space behind our garage to create an outdoor dining area & they ignored our feedback in how to connect the Summer Kitchen to our existing breezeway through the use of a covered pergola. Instead, they wanted to create separate "self-contained" spaces that would be useless during inclement weather or sunny, cloudless afternoons. Further, their pool designs did not create open play areas for my sons to play pool basketball with friends. (We installed an in-deck pool basketball goal & volleyball net ... highly recommended!)

While we considered a composite roof for our summer kitchen, Backyard Oasis identified a quality cost effective option with a corrugated plastic cover on our pergola. Not only does it keep us dry in the worst weather, the smoked-grey color allows plenty of light in during the day without too much sun.

Backyard Oasis handled all of the document filings with our HOA & helped us submit additional paperwork with Centerpoint regarding an aerial easement. Without Backyard Oasis help, our Summer Kitchen may have been derailed due to Centerpoint's initial concerns, but the lead designer for Backyard Oasis was thorough & clear in his documentation, which expedited Centerpoint approval.

*** BUILD STAGE ***
Backyard Oasis' project manager & onsite supervisor were in regular communication regarding our build schedule. Additionally, they would call or text whenever any delays would occur. Once construction begun, on a near daily basis, we would see the construction supervisor onsite either before, during or after that day's work had occurred. This gave us comfort that he was actively working the project & would be able to answer any questions that we had.

As our pool & pergola construction began at the start of COVID, we were concerned that local regulations would prevent or delay construction. Backyard Oasis actively monitored county regulations, had their teams follow safety guidelines (in terms of masks + social distancing) & kept our project on-track.

*** WARRANTY STAGE ***
Our pool & Summer Kitchen was completed almost 1 year ago. I intentionally waited to post this review to reflect our actual satisfaction after "living" with this project since it finished. Fortunately, we've encountered very few issues or warranty items. However, Backyard Oasis has continued to be highly responsive and has addressed each item on a timely basis.

WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BACKYARD OASIS WHEN BUILDING YOUR POOL, SUMMER KITCHEN AND PERGOLA.

Backyard Oasis has the best warranty, maintenance and repairs team imaginable. They are responsive, courteous and patient. We have immense peace-of-mind knowing that they will resolve any post-build issues. While the entire team is amazing, in particular, Brandi has been delightful and proactice anytime we've had an issue.

Let me explain why this matters so much ...

Almost 3 years ago, Backyard Oasis built my summer kitchen, pergola and swimming pool. The design and build experience was amazing. Given that this was our first pool and outdoor kitchen, our worry was in the repairs and maintenance part of this project. We didn't know how this work would hold up to the extreme heat, humidity, and occasional cold. While we believed that Backyard Oasis was an honorable business, the natural question is how would they stand behind their work and whether we'd have any issues when a reasonable warranty issue arose.

Over the past 34 months, we've had a handful of relatively minor issues arise (pool cleaner tail & bag tears; filter drain plug sticking; outdoor faucet leak; pergola leak; sportsdeck paint fading). Considering the harsh weather conditions that our pool and outdoor kitchen experiences, we’re amazed by the few issues that have arisen, which speaks to the quality of the initial project work.

The key question is … what’s it like to work with their service team?

So super easy! Whenever an issue arises, Backyard Oasis’s service team answers phone calls immediately in most cases. Or they’ll return my call within an hour or two. They’ve even answered my questions on a Saturday.

Once an issue requires a repair, Backyard Oasis explains what the process will be, schedules the work, and follows up when the work is complete. Furthermore, the service team stays in-touch in convenient ways. In addition to being responsive to phone calls, they offer a text option to submit pictures and address questions. Once the repair has been completed, Brandi will follow-up to make sure that we’re satisfied that the issue has been fully resolved. Fortunately, every minor issue that we’ve encountered has been fixed correctly the first time, often without someone having to be home to make sure the service is done.

When we plan on our next outdoor project, we will use Backyard Oasis again. This will be largely due to the quality of their service team and how will the company stands behind its work.

I had a good experience with Backyard Oasis. The pool renovation went relatively smoothly, and the few issues I had were addressed promptly and courteously. The end result was just amazing. I want to give a special shout out to Brandi. She went above and beyond communicating and coordinating our warranty services, and was an exceptionally responsive!

Backyard Oasis just finished installing our pool and I can not say enough positive things about this company and especially their pool build manager Ramon. Ramon always made sure to explain what was going to happen and when. He answered all questions I had and even some I didn't think about. His level of honesty and professionalism is something I haven't seen in a very long time! I highly recommend Backyard Oasis and especially Ramon if your are considering building a pool!

Backyard Oasis built our pool in 2023. From green flag to fill was just about 4 weeks, Mike was great on updates and supervising the different crews. We don’t live far from the office which was great for drop ins and issues but also caused us to be “the last stop on the way home”. Our only real complaints was how little help pool school was to get started and the lack of grading the yard around the pool.

A year later we’ve added more tiles and every warranty question/issue has been addressed in a timely manner. We appreciate Brandi has providing the best customer service and offering the ability for a quick text.

We’ve recommended Backyard Oasis to a few friends and would use them again.

Jody did a great job during the initial planning and designing of the pool and pool area. Ramon led the build and was fantastic. Constantly providing updates, suggestion and explanation of everything going on. He was personally onsite to review the progress at a high rate. Highly recommend working with Backyard for a pool build.

If I were asked, would we do this again? The answer is yes and would choose Backyard Oasis again as well. From the very start when I first called about pricing and process, Ms. Brandi was professional, helpful and willing to follow-up. Our designer, Chloe was also awesome. We had a small yard and she was able to deliver within those constraints. Andy, who led construction, was also professional and responsive to our concerns. Projects are not without their issues and to that end, when we have had to call, Ms. Brandi has been instrumental in getting warranty items fixed and in a timely manner. We love our pool and would highly recommend Backyard Oasis to anyone considering a backyard makeover.

We built our pool during the end of 2020 and have been loving it ever since. Cheryl and Jody worked with us to design our perfect backyard oasis and helped throughout the process. Brandi and Nick have been exceptional to work with! No construction process is perfect but what wasn’t correct they did not hesitate to fix and make right, even a year later. To us, having a company stand behind their work is priceless especially with a big investment. Highly recommend them!

The best decision we ever made was to hire Backyard Oasis. Everyone from our designer Chloe to the construction superintendent Andrew were fantastic. They were easy to work with and did exactly what they said they would do. Staff and all of the construction crews were very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend Backyard Oasis for any pool or outdoor kitchen project.

We selected Backyard Oasis to build our pool after seeing their work. We appreciated their attention to detail and craftsmanship. It took longer for our pool to be completed as there were some issues that arose. After voicing our concerns, the owner personally came out to address them and our pool was completed better than expected. This was our 1st ever pool build. We used Backyard oasis They guided us every step. From choosing the material to downloaded the app at completion. The owner, Cheryl, was extremely helpful and transparent. The whole team worked with us at layout stage to ensure specs were correct, and gave us honest advice and suggestions.
Once the crew started work, it was pretty quick. They worked from sun up to sun down.
During the job, we worked with Ramon, who was always available and helpful each time we had questions. He gave really honest advice which I highly value. Never tried to take advantage of little ol us who didn’t know much. He was super knowledgeable and always open to feedback and questions. If there were any issues, he fixed them very quickly. Till this day, months after completion, he still answers our random questions. I appreciate someone who is available, especially as new pool owners. Excellent customer service from Ramon, and I would say he made this experience easy and enjoyable!

We recently hired Backyard Oasis to complete a project on our backyard pool, and overall, we’re really happy with the results. The team was professional, friendly, and consistently communicated throughout the process. They showed up on time, kept the area tidy, and clearly knew their craft.

From design to finished pool the process went really well. The down side is obvious and that’s the dirtiness of dig and re-landscaping what was damaged from that. The crews did there best but you can help the fact that it’s going to be dirty for awhile. Ramon was the lead on my project. He was communicative, helpful, and figured out my aesthetics rather quickly. Each crew worked hard and was excellent at their craft. I commend the tile work especially. I feel very confident in recommending Backyard Oasis to anyone wanting a new or refurbished pool.

We got project estimates from 3 companies and Backyard Oasis was the Best by far. Our sales person Jody was responsive and worked with us to get our design right and within our budget. Our pool build manager Ramon was awesome. He made sure we understood what step we were are from start to finish and from the dig to water in the pool was 5 weeks which was unbelievable. He made sure we were fully satisfied with everything and also knew how everything worked when they were done first class service from start to finish, would highly recommend these guys. Above and beyond. Great experience with Backyard Oasis and the crews. From start to finish, Backyard Oasis and their team were fantastic! I will actually miss them coming to the house. The owners, the design team, Ramon our main contractor were all so very nice and experienced. They helped us to understand the process every step of the way!
