Bought a house that had the roof done by these guys 2 years prior noticed leaking around chimney last year tracked down who had done the work gave them a call this year. Talked to a guy named Ed. Ed said he would send somebody out guy comes out says they only warranty there labor for two years and were on three years. but says its a quick fix and theres no charge. I say thanks he gets it done, a few days later I get a bill from Green Mountain for 75.00 I call and say hey the guy said it was free Ed still expects us to pay the bill. Bad workmanship and even worse customer service

Finding a good contractor is always a bit of a gamble. I talked with two neighbors who were more than happy with Green Mt Roofing. What I found was that my neighbors were exactly correct. The roofing crew was polite, hard working, thorough, and constantly kept the work site clear of trash and nails. They were eager to answer my questions and would suggest options for future work. The fee for services came under another company's estimate. I am very satisfied with the work and obviously I would strongly recommend the company to anyone needing roofing for their home

I would give Green Mtn. Trucking the highest rating there is. The work they have done for me, multiple projects, was done in a responsible, timely and professional way. I was informed ahead of time if there was going to be a price difference. Tim was always the first to recommend a better or less expensive way to do something. If you have a project in mind, I highly recommend the company that works for the client, not just the paycheck !!
GREEN MOUNTAIN TRUCKING AND EXCAVATION .

Tim has been doing heavy equipment work for us for decades, first with his father, Ed, and now with his son, Sean. Road maintenance, snow removal (our road is more than a third of a mile long), landscaping, and so much more. Whenever there's an emergency, like storm damage or excessive snow, Tim always shows up promptly and makes sure our road is safe and driveable. His prices are very reasonable and it's always a pleasure talking with him. We feel very lucky we found him all those years ago. 10/10

We hired VT Outdoor Services to build a shed pad in our backyard and couldn't be happier with the results. The work was done professionally, the quality is excellent, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend them for any outdoor project!

Being new homeowners in the area with a surprise sinkhole in the yard and a leaking foundation (that didn't show up on inspection,) we were thankful and relieved to find Hugh @ VT Outdoor services. We initially called 3 companies, 2 of which kicked the can down the road. Hugh on the other hand was out to our house in 24 hours to access our situation. He thoroughly investigated the root causes of our property's water issues and provided us with a comprehensive drainage and foundation repair plan/quote the following day.

Large equipment was carefully placed in our yard and a stellar crew was able to detach our deck, completely excavate the perimeter of our house, repair the foundation leak, and more importantly create a drainage system that now moves any and all water away from the home. They also discovered that the footing drain installed when the house was built in the 90s was improperly placed. Best part is this whole project was wrapped up in 2 days during sub zero temps in February leaving us with no worries and a dry basement for the Spring melt. When the project was completed in less time than expected, Hugh reduced the amount of the quote.

Can't thank these guys enough! They check every box, do highly skilled & careful work, and provide an exceptional level of communication during what is an extremely stressful and urgent situation for any homeowner. 👊🏼

It was a pleasure doing business with Hugh. He made sure that we were satisfied with the work and came back on several occasions to ensure that we were happy. I would highly recommend vt outdoor services. I've attached before and after photos. He put in roughly 500 ft of French drains. Our lawn was unusable and a swamp before he started and now our kids are able to play safely back there.

Hugh and his team we great. He shows up when he says he is going to, is very professional and communicates everything they are doing and finds out exactly what you need before they start. Graded our very long driveway and put down gravel. It has been less than 24hrs and I have had 3 compliments on how it looks already.

We hired VT Outdoor Services for a semi overhaul of our driveway and overall was pleased with the experience/results. Hugh checked in with us numerous times throughout the process, was able to flex and add in extra work ditching, widening a section, and replacing a culvert. The end results exceeded my expectations, especially with them using the roller for compaction. Hire them!

Hugh is fantastic to work with and responds quickly and kindly. These guys work hard and do a great job. They replaced our large culvert and stabilized a sinking driveway. Prices couldn't be beat, very reasonable. I have recommended them to my family and friends and would suggest you give them a try.

We loved working with Understory and would trust them with any project, they will be our first call in future. They do high quality work and ensure that from all of their subcontractors as well. We worked together to complete a complex redesign and build creating a guesthouse. Understory served as project management and build--they did an amazing job coordinating complex set of subcontractors including landscaping. The quality of the work is excellent, communication was open and effective, response to issues was rapid. I highly recommend working with the team on your projects!

Understory Design Build constructed our new home in Morrisville VT. Our work with Brad and Kieran started in the design process. Their input was invaluable in finalizing a design to match our needs. Throughout the build process their attention to detail, high level of communication, and professionalism was unmatched. They listened to our concerns, made thoughtful recommendations, kept us informed and explained the process well. After build completion they addressed our “punch list” concerns quickly.

We ended up with a great design with a quality build that was both on schedule and on budget. Kieran and Brad were wonderful to work with. We would highly recommend them and hire them again!

These lovely folks built a garage , breezeway and renovated my kitchen and fixed lots of other smaller issues. They worked within my budget , specifics for Baking , cooking needs and time line to produce incredible designer results. They cater to you individually to meet your specific needs and taste , they are not cookie cutter builders at all. The make the design process fun and exciting. All their workers and contractors are professional and accommodating. I never want to go out any more other then to go in and out of my Garage.

We felt truly included in the design decisions. Brad’s team has done an amazing job bringing everything to life. In 2017 Understory Design Build stripped off the worn siding on our house and replaced it with Hardie Board. It was a big job and it was perfect when done. It is now seven years later and it still looks and functions as brand new. When we decided to upgrade our small gazebo to the same specifications as the house, we had no doubt that Brad and Kieran should do the job. It is wonderful to have both looking so great. On a personal level, they are a delight to work with. They ask good questions, are clear about the details, oversee their employees, and fix anything that is amiss. Don't work with nightmare contractors. Hire Understory Design Build and you will be satisfied.

Ed and his team gave me the fence we designed for my backyard for my dogs. My expectations were met/exceeded. The fence looks gorgeous, is exactly what we discussed. The project meets the need. Ed Lowell was a pleasure to do business with. He was able to get a dog enclosure fence installed for us even tho our schedules were far apart. It was late in the season and hard ground but dogs and people alike are happy at our house now, thanks to their committed hard work.
I have no reservations about reccomending his company. They are professional, hard working and fairly priced. He also offered good advice for our particular situation. Overall, a very positive experience =)
