Our experience with To Serve started out great as they helped us through the initial insurance claim. Unfortunately, it’s been a headache ever since. We started this process in June and they are still not finished with our roof as of 12/21. We have had countless delays, major breakdowns in communication from internal managers, complete non-responsiveness at times, lack of materials leading to more delays, unfulfilled promises, etc. The only good experience has been with our sales person, Lukas, and the installation team. I have lost all trust in this company and I wish I would have trusted my gut and went with a different company to replace our roof.

To Serve Contracting canvassed our neighborhood in December 2021 offering drone inspections of our roof and working with our home owners insurance on a replacement if damage was found. Upon finding hail damage we signed a contract with To Serve and worked through insurance to replace our roof. The roof was replaced in January 2022. Days after the replacement leaks were found and the issue was raised with To Serve. The issues were not addressed until March of 2022. More issues arose in September of 2023 after pests were accessing our attic. To Serve was promptly contacted to address the issue. The issue was not addressed until October where it was determined the roof was improperly installed and was missing the dripedge to seal the edge and attic. More issues arose in January of 2024 when shingles flew off the roof. To Serve was again promptly contacted. It took a week for someone to come out however I was charged $500 for the fix and urged only to pay cash. In August 2024 more issues arose as more leaks were found, one being the same from January 2022. To Serve was again contacted but has not replied after multiple attempts. I have had other roofers come inspect the roof and been told the roof is in very poor shape and was improperly installed and have multiple quotes of over $2,000 just to fix the current issue and been told more issues will surely arise.

On the advice of my homeowners insurance, I am filing complaints as it is suspected that I am the victim of predatory roofing from To Serve Contracting

We worked with Mighty Dog for our roof replacement project and discussed options with Gray (the owner) and Rich (the project manager). Gray's expertise was instrumental in navigating the insurance process, resulting in approval for a complete roof replacement, which exceeded our initial expectations of just half replacement. Gray provided a comprehensive quote and product samples, demonstrating MDR's commitment to quality materials. Their use of top-rated products, as recognized by Consumer Reports, was a key factor in our decision to select MDR over competitors offering alternative brands. The price point was reasonable and within industry standards.

The installation of the Estate Grey architectural shingles, overseen by Rich, was executed efficiently. The team arrived promptly and completed the roof installation within a single day, despite the heat and some strong downpours throughout the day. They employed protective measures, such as debris catchers, to minimize clean-up requirements. The gutter installation was completed the following day, with the overall craftsmanship meeting high standards.

While the roofing team's clean-up was thorough, we noted that the gutter installation team could have been more diligent in this regard. We decided to replace our OG 4" gutters with 6" white gutters with a gutter guard. Follow-up inspection with a magnetic tool revealed a significant number of stray nails, particularly from the gutter installation. As a good rule of thumb, we recommend that homeowners buy a magnet tool (Amazon) and conduct their own post-install inspection to ensure all nails/debris are removed.

MDR demonstrated excellent responsiveness in addressing post-install adjustments, consistently accommodating our requests. For those seeking a reputable roofing contractor with superior customer service, MDR is highly recommended. These guys are crooks. They did nothing to my place for months and charged me for expenses related to them not working on it. The whole time I was asking what was taking so long and they were just lying to me. Eventually they quit, leaving the job unfinished. Don't believe a word any of them say.

I would not recommend this company at all. I had to switch to a different one half way through and they are having to go back and fix what this company didn’t do for a Cat 3 water damage. Also, much of my stuff was additionally damaged by them! Grrr!!!!

the teams who came to move the furniture, to the installers - all were
professional and did an excellent job. I would call them again if needed.

We had a small water leak that we caught early, but I called these guys to see if they'd check it out just to make sure there was nothing else needed, they came out promptly, were very professional and told me that I'm all good. They did not even charge me for the visit. Next time I have an issue will call them again for sure.

Restoration Experts of NC come out to inspect some efflorescence
in my crawl space that popped up on an inspection report. They inspected the crawl and were completely honest and transparent, telling me I didn't need any repair work and explain gin what the efflorescence was (salt). They recommended a few small tweaks to increase air flow and minimize water vapor. Couldn't recommend these guys enough. Thanks!
