I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with this home builder. From start to finish, the process was poorly managed and frustrating. Communication was inconsistent at best—calls and emails often went unanswered, and when responses did come, they were vague or contradictory.

The quality of work was far below what was promised. We noticed multiple issues during and after construction, including sloppy finishes, rushed workmanship, and materials that did not match what was agreed upon. Many problems had to be pointed out repeatedly before they were even acknowledged, and some were never properly fixed at all.

Timelines were missed with little explanation, and excuses were common. It felt like once the contract was signed, customer service became an afterthought. For such a major investment, I expected professionalism, accountability, and pride in their work—none of which were delivered.

I would not recommend this builder to anyone looking for a reliable or stress-free home-building experience.

We’ve seen many ICG homes over the years, and from the very beginning we knew the quality would be amazing. Working with them has been such a pleasure—especially with Hunter, who guided us through the warranty process and made sure every little detail was addressed and taken care of.

My wife and I first discovered ICG Homes after visiting friends who had just moved into the new Serenity community in Fuquay-Varina. We fell in love with the neighborhood and knew we wanted to make it our home as well. We spoke with several builders in the community to compare what they offered, but no one came close to the quality, options, and overall value that ICG provided. Choosing ICG to build our dream home was an easy decision.

We worked with Mike and Mark to choose the best lot to fit our needs. The variety of custom homes that ICG offered was more than we expected, and Mike provided us with the information we needed to understand the differences of each one and the options that were available. Once we decided on the options, we worked with Stacey to totally customize our new house. She was very patient with us, making sure the choices we made fit our vision. We trusted Stacey's opinion and the finished product was amazing. Mark was always there to address any concerns we had during the build process and was more than accommodating for any issues we found or modifications we wanted. Every person we encountered at ICG was amazing and the biggest surprise we encountered was the amount of custom options that were already included in our budget for the house. Even neighbors who chose other builders have commented on the workmanship and features ICG provides, and many have said they wish they had chosen ICG as well.

The ICG team made a normally stressful situation into a pleasant experience, and we would do it all over again with them! We absolutely love our new home.

We relocated from Pennsylvania and were looking at homes in the Sanctuary at Lake Wheeler neighborhood. The house we eventually bought was already under construction when we first looked at it. The design and layout were exactly what we wanted, and the moment we walked in it felt like home. It was everything we were looking for at a reasonable price, so choosing ICG was an easy decision.

Everyone at ICG has been pleasant and easy to work with and their customer service has been great. They went out of their way to accommodate our requests before closing to ensure we were happy with the house and our experience. Everyone we interacted with was very helpful.

We have family in the custom home building industry, and they confirmed that our house was very well built. Based on our experience, we would definitely recommend ICG to others!

Called for an estimate twice, once on the morning of 8/21 and again on 8/22. Never got a call back and was told both times by the person answering the phone that an estimator would call me as soon as possible. It's now 8/26 and I'm forced to look for a contractor elsewhere.. If this is how they treat potential customers I'm afraid of how I might be treated once I've already given them money!

called a few times needing an estimate for our bathtub/shower remodel for an insurance claim. No one called us back. I guess they don't need the money that bad...

Dream Construction sent a representative to my home to look at the purposed room addition to my home, a 12 x 10 3rd bedroom addition 1st floor.. I was advised that it was a simple enough job for the company to perform and I would receive an estimate in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks no estimate, after contacting the contractor Randy Anderson several times I was then advised they were just finishing up the details and would get back to me. On October 31st I again contacted Randy who told me I should have an answer Monday Nov 3rd. On Tuesday Nov 4th I left a message still nothing and that I needed the Bid quote because I wanted to get started. I received a message the same day left on my phone with a lame excuse that " they were slammed with other work and would not be able to perform to meet my standards " No further excuse given. This is a pathetic way do do business and totally unprofessional. But in the end it's their loss as I am going with another company I trust who have done work for me before. I should note: this is not a matter of credit as I am paying CASH $$$ for the addition and have NO MORTGAGE on this home...

Did not have the pleasure of working with them as others have. June 17th inquired with them about a add on. He canceled meeting with me for the 18th of June. Rescheduled for july 15th after my vacation. No issues he arrives, we speak about what I want, he measures and said he will send estimate/proposal. August 13th still no estimate so I reach out. He says he hasn't done it yet as he is behind. OK send to me when you do it. September 26th still no estimate, he says he still hasn't done it yet gives my a price of 150k from a house he "did" a year ago. I said i still want a estimate as I need to figure out logistics of everything. No reply, so here we are October 10th review time. NICE ENOUGH GUY BUT IF THIS IS HOW HE HANDLES BUISNESS THEN IM GLAD TO NOT TO WORK WITH THEM.

My experience with Dream Construction was fantastic! We were looking to convert our garage into living space for my mother to move in with us. Steve was my initial contact with the company, he was very nice and answered all of my many questions. He listened to all of our concerns and provided an itemized estimate so we could make the choices that fit within our budget. Austin was our project manager and he was also very nice and professional. He was in touch with us very often and addressed any concerns we had in a timely manner. Our project was complete well before originally anticipated, even after unexpected issues with our existing wall structure were discovered (and fixed!) and we are extremely happy with the results! We certainly will recommend them to any friends that have construction/remodel needs!
