My experience with the whole team over at Sapphire Luxury homes has been nothing short of amazing. They took what is typically a stressful process and turned it into a very smooth process. Highly recommended.

I browsed their website, and what caught me was the timeline walking you through the process of building, from paperwork signed, to groundbreaking!! I don't have anywhere near what's needed to get starred, but the site made me feel like when I am, I'd be satisfied.

We were complete novices at purchasing a buildable lot for our new retirement home. Shan of Winsome Construction was kind enough meet us at the two lots that we were considering and give us his assessment of which lot was best to purchase for the size home we wanted. He further showed us some of the homes he was currently building. Shan connected us with a designer, and we were off and running. Jennifer, of Winsome Construction, was extremely helpful with all our interior selections such as flooring, countertops, hardware, plumbing and light fixtures. We also had a specific budget and throughout the entire building process the Winsome folks monitored our project’s costs so we completed our new home without breaking the bank. Amazing! Kevin, our project manager, was terrific and also had some wonderful suggestions. One clever idea was to hide our kitty litter box under a built-in top-opening bench in the back hallway off the garage entrance to the house. This bench is complete with several overhanging hooks for jackets and hats, and looks very attractive, and completely hides the litter box. The kitty entrance to this litter hideaway is on the opposite side of the ‘people’ entrance to the hall, and not visible to anyone entering the house. Winsome had many other great suggestions which we incorporated into our home, as well. We are thrilled with our new home and would highly recommend Winsome Construction for all your construction needs.

I am not a Winsome Construction customer but rather have developed their marketing materials for various properties and have gained real knowledge on the high quality, luxury work that they do. One particular property that really sticks out in my mind is their Pacific Seawatch Townhouses at the beach. Through developing their materials I was able to see all of the details from the blueprints all the way to the finished product. These properties had the most amazing, large scale windows allowing for the beautiful views to be seen from so many angles. You can tell that a lot of thought is put into each and every detail, which sets Winsome apart from other companies I have worked with. Their properties are truly high class beauty.

I've had the privilege of getting to know the owners of Winsome as a fellow local business owner. They operate their company with laser focus on creating a great environment for their employees, working thoughtfully with their sub-contractors, and ultimately delivering an excellent product to their customers. For anyone interested in a "functional piece of art" to live in, I would highly recommend the Winsome team.

Everyone is asking us about the ADU that we built in Santa Clara. My answer is simple: just look at the construction. ADU Builders Bay Area is more expensive of the 3 contractors we interviewed, but if you look closer, you see why. The insulation is R-21 while the code is R-19. The soundproofing in the shared wall is so good we can’t even hear our tenants. All the plumbing is premium brand fittings, not builder grade. From contract to key, the project did take 11 months due to a long permit review. There were delays that were infinitely frustrating. A year later with zero callbacks or issues and a tenant who loves how solid everything is, I don’t think about the wait anymore. They built for long-lasting quality, not just to check a box. If you’re going to own this property for a long time, that quality is an investment that pays off every single day.

This was our first experience with an ADU project, and in all fairness, we had no idea what we were doing. A friend of ours who had just completed a similar build suggested we contact ADU Builders Bay Area, so we at least explored it and called for a consultation. I'm so glad we did.

Right from the beginning, staff had everything appear so much simpler. We met Andrew, who went out and visited our property to give us a tour. From the moment we got there, it was clear he was an expert. He went through everything that we could actually build, what we could actually do, and how the entire process was going to work from simple design concepts all the way through to permit approval, inspections, and final construction.

The most impressive thing was that they did not just give us a cookie-cutter response. They listened to what we needed and took the time to fully understand, and even offered some creative suggestions for how we could best utilize the space and create lasting value for the property. We had originally thought we would simply build something basic, but with their input, we have a configuration that works for our lifestyle much better and actually adds to the overall equity more than we expected.
The process itself was incredibly smooth. The staff handled it all, negotiating with the city, getting permits, arranging for inspections, and keeping us up to date at each turn. We were never left in the dark, and they were quick to respond whenever we phoned with a question. It was just such a relief not to have to chase someone down or dig through confused paperwork ourselves.

Looking back, I'm thankful beyond words that we didn't go the route of contracting with a general contractor and attempting to piece things together ourselves. ADU Builders Bay Area did this project and not only made it possible, but even enjoyable. The ADU well-built room that we're proud of — and best of all, that we know was done properly.

Our project was not easy. We have a giant oak tree with a protection order and our lot is sloped. It’s a nightmare. ADU Builders Bay Area solved it with confidence. Their designer came up with a great wrap-around design that preserved the tree and the slope. Construction was hard, and the foreman, Hector, told us everything they were doing to safeguard the tree roots. Yes, it was costly. Yes, it was time-consuming. But they built us something that was unique and beautiful. It was worth every dollar and every day.

We converting the garage which originally accommodated two cars in Sunnyvale was the first step for us to modernize to a JADU. After several other consultations, we decided to go with ADU Builders Bay Area as they provided the most comprehensive proposal. Transitioning to the construction phase was very swift. However, on the public agency side, we experienced delays on the permits for the project. During this time, Jessica, our project manager, was very understanding of our concerns. Nevertheless, the quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding, the added unit is a wonderful, legitimate rental, which is helping us cover a big part of our mortgage, and for that we are very grateful.

ADU Builders Bay Area completed our detached unit in Palo Alto as promised. The budget was clear, and the timeline was realistic. The final result looks professional and is ready for use.

At the outset, we only wanted a rudimentary studio ADU. We received exactly what we wanted with no deviations, a basic and wonderfully constructed ADU. Everything went as planned. Their entire crew maintained a level of professionalism and courtesy rarely seen in construction projects. They stuck to the updated schedule and finished on time, with the only potential delays being on the side of the permitting authorities. What we spent was reasonable and the outcome matched our expectations, ultimately receiving what was promised.
