Clough construction is the epitome of quality craftsmanship and professionalism. They constructed a fence for our business and did such a great job that we hired them to build a custom glass fence in our backyard overlooking the water.

We could not be more satisfied with their work! I would recommend them to anyone!

Been meaning to write this for a while. Quite a few years ago -- like 10 -- Clough Construction replaced my old rotting deck with a new one at my house in Sausalito. The deck is perfect with no complaints. Some months ago I noticed that water was seeping into my living room which adjoins the deck as a few spots of flooring were showing signs of warping. I called Clough thinking perhaps the deck was the problem. Even though this kind of thing (house leaks) isn't really something Clough does, they came out to help me figure out what the problem was. Turns out the problem was the that the water was seeping in around the edges of the floor to ceiling windows. Not only did they identify the problem, but their man went back to his truck, came back with caulk and re-applied caulk to all of the windows around the deck. Took him probably half an hour. Would have taken me three! I then called Clough to thank them and pay the bill. Instead they just said this one is one us, glad we were able to fix the problem. That's customer relations commitment like one rarely sees. Highly, very highly recommend Clough for any project you might have.

I absolutely LOVE my new front yard picket fence built by Clough Construction! I had a design in mind and Scott grasped my vision perfectly, and improved upon it. The fence turned out better than I imagined. The Clough crew was extremely professional, kind, hard-working, neat, and so skilled! True artisans.The foreman on my project has worked for Clough for ~25 years... that shows me that they take good care of their employees. I loved having their guys around for the week and was bummed to say goodbye at the end, but thrilled about my front yard “facelift”.

Btw, this was the 2nd fence I’d had built by Clough. The other one was done 10 years ago and is good as new... zero problem. You can’t go wrong with Clough Construction!

This month Clough Construction repaired several of our garden fences. New supports and gates were added. Beginning with our first phone call, the company organized and completed the job seamlessly. We could not have been more satisfied!

We just finished a very large deck project with Clough Construction. We replaced our fence first, which was an easy process. Our decks were not so easy and Clough handled everything professionally, promptly and perfectly! From permits to completion, I couldn't have asked for a better team. We have gorgeous decks that are beautiful and solid. We have gotten used to seeing the crew outside our windows every day, but will think of them for years to come. We just completed a 3-month project to replace 2 wrap-around decks and are thrilled with the results. The process went smoothly. Scott came out to assess the project right away. Deanne and the office staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. We were confident from the start that our project would be done correctly and without worry.

Quinn and Lowell, our team, are both highly skilled, hard-working, positive, and focused on every detail. They were a pleasure to have here. The site was cleaned up every day, and they even, when possible, went out of their way to keep access open to our yard for our dogs. Quinn led the project and clearly is a true craftsman who takes pride in his work. I would definitely welcome Quinn and Lowell to do another project at our home in the future.

In 2004 Clough replaced our upper deck and it still looks awesome. This year (2021) they designed and built a new lower deck and added our special place.....the CATIO ... a beautiful redwood and screen mini-lodge built especially for us and our cats. Clough Construction does fabulous work. We could not be happier. Thanks to Scott, Deanne, Forest and the whole team.

I have used Clough construction for a deck repair and a short retaining wall. They are reliable, efficient, on time and do quality work. They are honest and a pleasure to work with. They are not the cheapest way to go but in construction projects you get what you pay for. They make it a point to inform you about their insurance and adherence to workman's comp laws. If you hire them you can be assured that your project will be done correctly and on time. I highly recommend them.

Clough just finished our project and we couldn't be happier.
They built us a new deck and railings with lighting and also built a front entry fence and side arbor and fencing. Both projects are beautiful and the work, from planning to completion couldn't have gone more smoothly.

Clough Construction recently completed a new deck at the entrance to my home, which is not only beautiful but extremely well constructed. Scott and Deanne Clough were very professional, responsive and efficient in their delivery of service. If you are looking to hire the best deck contractor in the North Bay, you need to seriously consider Clough Construction.

Clough Construction, YES!, entirely professional, their work was of the highest quality. The building crew--Rafael, Hugo, and Michael--listened carefully to our desires and concerns, then worked skillfully and efficiently to build 62 feet of rock-solid, beautiful fence, gate, and arbor, all in two-and-a-half days. The redwood posts and 8-inch boards are highest quality. We, our neighbor's, and our local birds and squirrels have all fully approved the work. Clough owners Scott & Deanne and their office team were always available, communications were excellent. We've already asked them to build another 75 feet of fence. Five-star recommendations for everyone.

Clough Construction truly deserves 5 stars! From our initial contact with Deanne to the on-site visits/design plan with Scott to the construction team, everything was on-point.

Clough installed 2 large decking areas on a extremely steep hillside. A rather difficult application which several other contractors would not even bid on. Clough had the right team to get it done.

Due to the slope, the scope of the project had to be re-worked, but Scott was patient with us to finalize a design plan that would also work within our budget. He came back multiple times during the build to make sure we were all on the same page.

The crew worked quickly and professionally. They showed up on time, were friendly and cleaned up daily. Rick, the foreman communicated clearly and involved us in any design decisions that needed to be made. The workmanship is excellent and the finished deck/railing is beautiful. It was completed on time and the job site was immaculate upon completion.

We would not hesitate to recommend CC and are planning to use them again on future projects.

Working with Clough Construction has been amazing! They are very professional, responsive, and obviously care a great deal about making sure that their clients are happy. They also care a great deal about the work they do. We used Clough several years back for a small deck project and remember them fondly, so we decided to have them come in to help us with an area on our property that appeared quite challenging; this area needed some kind of decking to help the odd-looking space become usable. They ended up designing and constructing a brand new two-tiered deck that far surpassed our expectations. We couldn't be happier with the end result, and we couldn't be happier with Clough. We highly recommend them!

We've hired Clough Construction many times. Over the years we've replaced 3 fences and now we have just completed a new deck plus redoing the support posts for a sagging deck and adding in a sliding glass door.

They are trustworthy and do quality work. Whether you have a tricky project or a straight forward fence. There is always clear communication. Hard working employees that leave a clean worksite. You know it is a good sign that they have employees that have been with the company 20+ years. A deep bench of talent.

I would not hesitate to hire Clough again. They might not be the cheapest, but in the end it will be worth it. You will get a beautiful project that will last and no hassle!

I highly recommend Clough Construction! They just completed my back deck and privacy fence, coping with various issues, including working around the king tides. We have had excellent experiences with family-run Clough Construction on a few projects at our house. They are true craftsman who care about quality, doing right by their customers, and producing beautiful redwood projects. They treated our property with respect, always leaving the job site clean and tidy. Communication was excellent; we were always aware of job specifics and on site working hours. They were easy to contact and quick to respond whenever questions arose. Billing was upfront and we were never charged anything that wasn’t expected. My second major project in three years has just been completed by Clough Construction, and I am thrilled!
It includes a new fence encircling my front yard, a large front porch, entryway and arbor, and a small back porch, as well as two gates and three sets of steps.
The foreman, Quinn, and workers Salvador and Maynor, were so professional, competent, hardworking, courteous and friendly - it truly was a pleasure to have them around! I can say the same about every other individual involved, who participated at various times.

Clough Construction did an outstanding job on our project and they were so, so easy to work with. The on-site AND office staff are communicative, kind, quick, and thorough.

We needed to install new railings in our yard for insurance purposes and were nervous about how it might change the look of the yard. Clough installed BEAUTIFUL railings that look as if they have always been there. The quality and workmanship are unbelievable. Clough also repaired a small retaining wall in the yard and made it look 10 times better than it looked before.

Honestly, I wish I could hire Clough for everything home repair related because they are so great to work with. We will definitely work with them again.
