Karl and his team performed maintenance and repairs to my front and back porch in late November of 2025. Karl was clear in his sales communication and was helpful by making recommendations around the scope of work and approach. The team aligned and delivered on the communicated work in the timeline discussed and for the budget discussed. Overall I had a great experience working with the Emtrak team and would be happy to use them again!

Owner was responsive to my request for a bid, was prompt and really knew about constructing a deck on a roof top. His crew was careful, did excellent work and cleaned the site at the end of every wilorking day. Finished on time and for the quoted amount. Pleasant experience.

This company is the only deck company you need to call. The team just finished a re-deck for us and we are impressed. Effiecient, professional, good value and cleans up every day. Also, listen to Ovi’s recommendations… his suggestions were spot on. Highly recommend.

4th Generation recently installed a deck on my condo garage top on the North Side of Chicago. It was refreshing to work with such a reliable company that kept in constant communication about the status of our project, timeline, cost, etc. Incredibly, the team of builders installed my deck(over 800 sq ft) in less than 3 days. The quality of their work is excellent and for a very reasonable and competitive price. I would recommend them 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

We had 4th Generation Construction work on our self-managed condominium building (flat roof) repair, they did a good job I appreciated the hands-on presence by the owner during the project. Ovi and his team are fantastic. Ovi was helpful in giving guidance as to the design elements and the construction of our main deck and upper balcony deck. He was able to construct exactly what we envisioned and took an eye sore of a deck that was falling apart into something we will enjoy for many summers to come. I can’t believe they completed our main deck and an upper deck in two weeks. The attention to detail was there and I had full confidence in the workmanship. We are owners / operators of multi-family apartment buildings in the Western Suburbs. We hired 4th Generation Construction to remove and rebuild 8 patio balconies on our 11 unit apartment building. We have worked with MANY contractors over the years and Ovi and his crew are hands down the best. They arrived at the job-site every morning by 8 am and worked until late into the evening and weekends. We were also promptly notified if they were delayed due to weather / rain. Ovi was extremely knowledgable when working with out somewhat difficult village regarding permits. The final product is absolutely beautiful! I wish all our contractors were as good as 4th Generation!

Amazing work! Not only were they priced very competitively for the replacement of 3 decks on a three flat, but they were here and done in the blink of an eye. We used Ovi for a brand new build out of our garage roof deck. I was impressed with his material options, his honesty about timeline and communication throughout. His team that did the work were meticulous and kept the site incredibly clean. They also all followed covid protocols super well; wearing masks throughout and every time I interacted with Ovi he was socially distanced and masked. My husband used to install decking like this (but admittedly didn’t want to take on a roof project) and commented on how perfect the instal and finished product were. If we end up adding on with a pergola, Ovi will be our first call

Ovi was very responsive when I first reached out to have him come by and provide an estimate for a rooftop deck. He talked me through the pros and cons of multiple material options and he also offered his thoughts on different layouts that would work well for our space. Up front, Ovi prepared us for the possibility of delays to the project due to the supply chain issues created by the pandemic.

While we waited for Ovi to receive the decking from the supplier, Ovi was great about keeping me in the loop and responding to my request for updates. Once the project got started, Ovi and his team worked efficiently to build a beautiful deck that was everything that we talked about during our first meeting. Ovi was very easy to work with and helped answer all of my questions before booking my installation. Ovi and his team were professional, quick, and did an overall great job! I had my wood balcony redone with composite decking - I live on the second story of a 3 unit walk up. The team moved not only my furniture but also ensured that my neighbors property was moved and out of the work zone. I obtained estimates from several companies. 4th Generation was not the cheapest estimate, but Ovi was upfront about his pricing and how it adequately reflected the quality of his work. What stood out immediately was his level of expertise. As we talked through the work, he called out specific pieces of work and construction that would help ensure a long-lasting, quality build. Those small comments really stood out and I made my decision to go with 4th Generation before he drove away, honestly.

When the day came to do the job, his crew was on time, courteous, and efficient. Importantly, the final product was exactly what I had wanted. It looked so good, we’ve had several neighbors ask us about the contractor we used and a subset of those are already in conversations with Ovi.
