Deck Builder reviews across the US

Mike and his team were amazing! From the time I reached out to get a quote, through to finishing our beautiful new deck, Mike was communicative, efficient, professional, and friendly. Our new deck looks amazing and exceeded our expectations! As a new homeowner who knew next to nothing about decks, I really appreciated how patient Mike was in walking me through the options and answering all my questions. The quality of the work was exceptional, and completed in much less time than I expected! I would 100% hire Mike and Expert General Contracting again!

Mike and his team are AMAZING!!! They transformed the back of our house into a beautiful space for our family to enjoy all year long! It took them only 2 weeks to build us a space we are going to use for a lifetime! Mike’s team was prompt, professional, and made sure every detail was perfect! We highly recommend Mike and his team for your next outdoor addition!

The Expert General Contracting team built us an amazing deck! Mike was patient and insightful as we worked through the design of the deck. Every time we came up with a change to the layout or something we wanted incorporated into the deck his response was "yes, we can do that." Once we settled on the design the team moved quickly to get materials and build the deck. Anything we weren't 100% happy with during the build they immediately addressed, leaving us with exactly the deck we hoped for at a great price! If you're looking for a deck builder I highly recommend the Expert team!

I can't say enough about Mike and his team. The whole process from the initial visit to the design, to the price and then finally to the execution of the deck was seamless and very pleasant. The team was very prompt and efficient and very detail oriented. The workspace was left spotless each and every day and the end product is gorgeous. This is a 14 x 18 structure, Trex Decking, white fence with black balusters. If I could give them an additional star I would. Please reach out to them for all of your decking needs !

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible Work by Mike and His Team!

Mike and his crew completely exceeded my expectations from start to finish. They built me a covered deck that feels like a true outdoor living room — complete with lighting, ceiling fans, railings, heaters, two TVs, and a full speaker system. The attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism were second to none.
From the very first consultation, Mike was communicative, honest, and clearly passionate about his work. Every step of the process was smooth — from design, to materials, to the final touches. The deck looks amazing, but the functionality is really what is unbelievable. Even with the cold weather here we are able to sit out and enjoy our new space once we turn the heaters on.
It’s rare to find a company that delivers this level of quality and pride in their work. If you’re thinking about adding a deck or outdoor space, don’t look anywhere else — call Expert. You won’t be disappointed!

We had an excellent experience with Expert General Contracting, and especially with the owner, Mike. From the very beginning, Mike took the time to thoroughly explain all the details and options available, including clearly breaking down the costs, which we really appreciated.

Mike and his team were extremely hardworking and professional. A crew of several guys was here consistently, working long days from morning to evening. They showed up regularly, worked through cold weather without complaint, and cleaned up the site every single day.

The quality of the work truly stands out. They built a beautiful, solid deck and roof exactly as designed, including overhead and accent lighting, radiant heating, and a ceiling fan. The project was also completed quicker than we expected—in only a few weeks—no doubt due to the number of skilled workers on site and the amount of experience they collectively bring. Mike was very accommodating when we made a few changes along the way, handling everything smoothly and without issue.

It’s clear that Mike and his team take pride in their work. We’re very happy with the final result and would highly recommend Expert General Contracting to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, clear communication, and a reliable, hardworking crew.

After years of talking about covering our patio, we came across Mike’s Facebook page. From day, one of the estimate, Mike was very professional knowledgeable and receptive to our vision of the patio space. Mike and his team were amazing! Their work and craftsmanship exceeded our expectations. We will enjoy the added space with our family and friends for many years to come!

I had reached out to Mike at Expert General Contracting about removing my old deck, and replacing with a new one with a permanent roof. He called me back within a day or two, and came out that same week to take a look and give an estimate. Once on his schedule, they arrived promptly in the timeframe I was told they’d likely be able to start the job, and demoed the previous deck within the first three hours. The new frame & roof went up quickly, and the job was done in less than a week and a half. Every time I reached out to Mike, he answered right away, and his team was amazing to deal with on a daily basis. Would highly recommend their services to anyone in the market to update to their outdoor space. Their work speaks for itself.

Mike was punctual when he arrived for an estimate and his price was fair. Once agreed, I was on the schedule. His team went above and beyond! Even with the snow, they cleared the area and started the work building a roof over my patio, including lights and heaters! They finished on time and on budget. Mike even checked back in once the weather cleared to see if there was anything that needed attention, but, so far, it has not! I highly recommend Expert General Contracting if you’re in the market for a deck or roof!!

Recently I had the greatest experience making home improvements! We've all heard the horror stories and advice of caution of being a single mom but let me tell you that having had the privilege of working with Expert General Contractors was truly a breath of fresh air and fully realized dream of adding a deck to my home and yard. I worked with the company owner Mike from initial conversation through the final walk through. He was able to produce measurements, costs, and various examples at our initial estimate and discussion to help fully grasp and translate my visions and expectations into a glorious reality. After thorough discussion and accurate estimations he and his team of hard working builders wasted no time organizing and procuring the exact materials and delivery while clearing and preparing my underdeveloped yard for its spectacular transformation. His crew showed up early every day they were scheduled and also on the days they were scheduled to and they worked tirelessly and seamlessly into the evening hours ensuring the safety, efficiency, and well being of my property and investment. Thank you!!

These guys are the BEST! They are very professional, yet personable people. What started as a kitchen remodel, quickly turned into a catastrophe for me. I called the pros and the rest is history. Everything from new floors to having to beef up our ceiling joists. Hanging kitchen cabinets and rerouting some plumbing. My wife and I could not be happier. We feel like we live in a new house! Thank you so much!

The Biehl Brothers were on time, and within our budget. Our deck was deemed a hazard, and we needed someone to replace it so our rental property was up to code. They were FANTASTIC! We ended up hiring them for our own house for a complete bathroom remodel, and a new roof. Top notch service pros! One of the best contractors in Cincinnati.

They are excellent. They communicate wonderfully every step of your project.
