Great experience throughout. Chris and the team were very professional and friendly. From the initial meeting, the permit application process and finally the installation and inspection. They took care of the whole process. And they also have competitive prices. We just got permission to switch on the system and are happily generating solar power.

Couldn't ask for me. These guys are great. When we were in the decision making phase, they gave us all the data we could ever need and provided us with guidance - all without us spending a dime. Once we decided to go through with it, they were consummate professionals, even connecting us with a roofer who could make the unusual alterations our particular home needed to make solar work for us. They took all the necessary COVID precautions, quickly responded any time we had a question, helped us set up the excellent app that lets us track our energy -- and really, Chris is just a super nice guy we enjoy talking to. Great experience all around.

Great experience. SunBlue staff very friendly and communicative. They handled all permits (village, ConEd, state). Installation was done in two days. Very clean work -- no debris left behind and minimal holes drilled, etc.

Panels are working and our electricity use is often net zero -- even in the middle of winter!

I purchased a solar system through SunBlue. Sales process was smooth - JB is a great sales guy. Explains the details - very thorough. Install was great - team was courteous and clean.

Update: SunBlue applied a ton of leverage on SolarEdge and resolved the issue.

The aftermath however has been a different story. The inverter - a piece of equipment provided by an equipment manufacturer named Solar Edge - is faulty. I get an error code that prevents the system from generating every 2-3 weeks. This kicks off the same process every two weeks - I call Sun Blue, they call SolarEdge, there's 24h of problem-solving / trouble-shooting and then usually gets resolved. In the meantime, I get quizzical looks from everyone like I'm a pain in their behind. This has happened 3-4 times since install (every 2-3 weeks) and I'm not getting any systemic solve to the issue. If this was happening with a vehicle, it would be a "lemon," but there is nothing like that for a solar system. This isn't entirely Sun Blue's fault, but there are things they could have done (e.g. put in a new inverter, have SolarEdge come out, etc.) and aren't really stepping up to the plate.

Highly recommend SunBlue Energy. Every detail was explained thoroughly and every question thoughtfully answered. This included their initial recommendation of trimming several trees to maximize output and install fewer panels. The installation process itself was smooth and professional and they process all of the paperwork for the town and utility on your behalf.

SunBlue installed 20 solar panels on my home a couple years ago and has come back annually, to check on the panels and clear any leaves. The installation was effortless (on my part!) and punctual. I highly recommend Chris and his team.

The entire SunBlue Energy staff was professional and attentive throughout the entire solar project. They were always prompt when scheduling meetings and honored the quoted price; even after finding issues which they fixed at no charge. This is a model company and i highly recommend using them.

Soup to nuts, SunBlue ENERGY is, by far, the best, the most professional installation folks we had come across during our quest to add Solar Panels to the roof of our home.

From the onset, they were helpful and informative, not to mention also honest and considerate, and remained so, right up to, and through final sign off.

The project was completed in better time than estimated, and everyone involved worked with us all along the way, making sure that things remained on track, milestones were met, and that expectations were managed.

Sun Blue ENERGY is extremely well run company, with a highly fine tuned business model that allowed this installation to run as smoothly as conceivably possible.

Good service. Our installation was finished about a week ago. Only waiting for the monitoring to be set up.

Update: Our system has been up and working since the early summer of 2019. The system produces 8MW+ per year. We had some minor servicing done twice in that span which is practically nothing. I can't think of any system in my home that requires less maintenance. Both times Chris and his team were prompt to answer and resolve the problem without delay or headache. I've heard nightmare stories about other solar companies. In short, I would highly recommend these guys. I could not be happier that we chose SunBlue Energy.

I had my solar system installed nearly 2 years ago. Prior to contracting SunBlue, I had done extensive research. 1st question I had to resolve, Lease or Buy? The staff at Sunblue explained the state & federal incentives of buying at the time. Next was to choose a company, Local or National? That was a little more difficult. A national company may have had a stronger network behind them, but I liked the idea of being able to talk to the president of the company if I needed to. I also liked the idea of supporting a local company. So I went with Sunblue. I could not be happier with my decision. I never had to reach out to the owner of the company because everyone I dealt with, from installers, to the office staff who helped do all the paper work were fully competent & helpful. Even after installation, when I had a question it was correctly answered in quick order. The owner of the company did come on sight a couple of times to follow up with the work without me asking. The installers worked cleanly & quickly. They were in our house for about a week & we felt comfortable.

My biggest fear was that I'd be promised the moon & the stars, but every claim they made, from the amount of energy my system would produce, to the amount it would cost, & the time of installation were either met or exceeded. Every contractor should run there business this way.

There were many solar companies hounding us to move forward without really looking into our needs. SunBlue Energy were polite and professional throughout the entire process from the presentation to the installation. SunBlue Energy are local and offer ownership of your system. They also offer a no money down financial loan. This financial loan does not affect the family budget. We pay off the loan with our savings while saving money on the utility bill!

Feels great to see the meter spin backwards and it feels better that we chose the right company.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Chris and his team are lovely to work with - responsive and professional. They were totally "on it" in terms of our project - dealing with permits and coned. We love our solar system and have nothing but the best things to say.

SunBlue Energy installed my system approximately 2 years ago. Installation was handled completely by SunBlue, i did not have to worry about permits or coordinating with Central Hudson and they processed the paperwork for NYS loans and rebates. My system suffered some damage due to a lightning strike & SunBlue promptly repaired the damage. All interactions with SunBlue have been professional and courteous. Highly recommended.

I shopped around and interviewed with several companies before choosing SunBlue Energy. Their quote is competitive. Their salesman (Jonathan) is polite, responsive, not pushy, and patient. The owner (Chris) also comes out to meet us a couple of times and is very reachable. Getting our solar project done is a long process, especially in my city. Took 6 months from contract signing to finally being connected and producing our own electricity (still waiting on the final inspection with the city). Jonathan, Chris, Marla, and the entire SunBlue team have been excellent with communicating, answering questions, and getting our problems solved this far. I look forward to continue monitoring our system and enjoying the green energy.

SunBlue Energy installed our solar panels two and a half years ago. They were very professional, did everything exactly as they said they would, and completed the job on schedule. We were promised that the panels would produce about 90% of our electricity, and they have produced enough to offset all our electric expenses since they were installed. I highly recommend SunBule Energy. You could not choose a more knowledgeable and responsible company.

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this amazing family owned company. Chris and the rest of the staff were so professional, knowledgeable, and walked us through the entire process of getting solar for our home. We started in May 2020 with Chris, the owner, doing a full presentation of different options based on our roof and solar potential. Many times you get a quote from a solar company, it's usually a sales rep who is just simply trying to sell you something and then bother you every day with incessant calls. Chris was clear in their approach and laid out concrete proposals and left it up for us to decide. The installation process was smooth and done over two days in August 2020 and we were cleared by Orange and Rockland Utilities the same month. All the paperwork, permitting, and proposal submission was done by SubBlue leaving the only part to us was financing, getting 0% financing through NYSERDA before it ended in June 2020. The team at SunBlue do an excellent job, clean installation, and are truly dedicated to making it work with the customer. My advice to anyone going solar is to do your research and don't settle with someone just based on price. Ask yourself, will that company stand behind it's warranty? Will they address issues promptly? Will they have parts available in case something needs to be replaced? (**cough Tesla **cough**) SunBlue does, and goes even further beyond. They are the real deal and you won't be disappointed.
