I can't say enough great things about Chris and the team at Sunblue. We spoke to a number of providers and ended up going with Chris, as he, the owner, personally came out and walked us through the process and pitch the design for our system. He clearly got it in a way others didn't. When the project hit a small hiccup they handled it like pros, solved the problem and put me at ease. They are the best. Our system went on line this week!

My wife and I are doing our best to get off fossil fuels and are really excited to have our SunBlue solar array up and running. Chris, the owner, came out himself for the initial walkthrough and talked through the process with me. He even scoped out the attic and the condition of the rafters, which I very much appreciated. The sales guys from big companies would not do this, saying we had to sign a contract, and THEN they’d schedule a visit by an engineer who might tell us we had to do remedial structural work, making it impossible to be confident about the cost until we were contractually committed. This was a MAJOR turn-off.

Chris, however, quickly gave us a quote (cheaper than SunRun, Trinity or and Empire Solar) and that was the price we actually paid. They didn’t pressure us, the financing process was clear and easy, the installation was quick, the crew courteous and communicative, and Chris also came at the end for a final walkthrough, leaving us with a binder containing all the permitting documents and product specifications. We appreciated that as well.

We definitely plan to work with them in future, once we build a bedroom or two out back and have some more roof space. Thanks, SunBlue!

The whole team at SunBlue Energy was so helpful from start to finish. Our 17 panel system is working well and we love watching how much we are producing on the app. Everything moved forward smoothly and with ConEd rates rising, Solar makes even more sense. The only delays were permitting, which is determined by the city and they were on top of that process so it was stress free for us.

The installation crew showed up right on schedule, worked efficiently, and kept everything neat and tidy. Everyone we dealt with was courteous and respectful of our home.
The project was finished exactly when they said it would be, and the panels look fantastic. They even took extra time after the installation to walk us through how to monitor our system. The solar app is easy to use, and it’s been great to see our energy production in real time.
Overall, the whole experience exceeded our expectations. If you’re thinking about solar, definitely give them a call — you’ll be glad you did!

I am happy to report that due to new ownership I could not be happier with the service we have received from TriState.. Our experience with the prior owners was an absolute nightmare that we have been trying to correct since 2019.

When Ben Stern took over I cannot tell you what a difference in professionalism. He spent many hours trying to figure out what our issues were. He was kind, efficient and kept his word. I was very impressed with his knowledge of solar panels.

New owners took over after the previous owner bailed, having alienated customers with abysmal service. I always thought that at least the installation had been done properly. Alas, this year I noticed water stains on the ceiling, and looking up in the attic saw evidence of seeping in the beams. I knew there were new owners to Tri-State Solar, and I reached out to them. They sent their roofer, who informed me the racks had been installed into the tongue and groove boards and not the rafters, and over the past five years had shifted and buckled. I needed plywood over the boards so the whole roof on that side had to be replaced. The new owners met me halfway because part of the problem was the asphalt shingles and part was the shoddy installation. They gave me a discount and re-did the whole thing the right way. Of course I’m frustrated the cost will delay the payoff time, but now I feel confident in the longevity of the system.

Tristate solar is under new ownership and they do an unparalleled job. My panels are up and running & they were super helpful every step of the way. Their customer service and project manager spent hours on the phone and in person advising me on which system would best suit my needs. Their quote undercut any other by far!

They helped me get close to 50,000$ in rebates, tax credits, & low interest solar financing!

Installation was done by the most competent, professional, and courteous crew.

My panels were very poorly installed, they promised me a one time free removal and reinstalling when I am ready to replace my roof. However, when I called and told them that I am ready to replace my roof, they wanted to charge me $200 per panel (I have 24 panels). I just paid someone else $165 per panel, after removing the panels, the guy showed me so many things that were wrong during the installation.

Excellent company with clear estimates and follow through. Rock solid installation through out. I was able to view four installations before committing. Transparent process with diligent attention to details well after the installation and PTO were completed.

Was looking into Solar and called about 6 different companies for quotes. All six showed up but 4 of them couldn't be bothered to actually give me a price. Rico and Ben came out to the house and immediately impressed me with their knowledge and professionalism. Follow up was terrific and answered all of my questions in a timely and complete manner. Ultimately decided that it's not the right time for me to invest in solar, but when I do move forward, it will be with Tri State Solar.

I cannot speak to their work because we did not make it that far. This company was recommended by the NYS website. I contacted them for a solar project. They had me submit a $1000 deposit. Everything was smooth until, one of their lenders went bankrupt. I have opt no to proceed with work because I did not want to have my credit pulled again for a new lender and I have other projects. They refuse to refund the $1000 and they charge for a site visit and design etc. No other company charges for that.

Stay away, there are better companies out there.

After several months of evaluating at least eight solar companies last fall, we chose Volt Seed Solar for our project. During our search Heidi answered our many questions over a number of phone calls and clearly explained equipment differences between companies, installation and financial aspects of the project. There were never any high pressure sales conversations or misleading promises as there were with other companies and I soon found myself comparing each new company I spoke with, to Volt Seed Solar. Every solar project is unique and has
different requirements. Our project included 28 panels, installed on two roofs, a new roof, skylight replacements and updating some electrical. All were coordinated by Volt Seed Solar. We can’t say enough about everyone at Volt Seed Solar from Heidi, Dallin, Rosemary, the electricians and panel installers. All were professional, patient with our many questions, always responding in a timely manner, friendly and helpful, clearly explaining the time line and keeping us informed of any weather delays, coordinating all work and required inspections. We know we chose the right company, know that we have invested well and look forward to many years of returns on our investment. Thank you Volt Seed Solar for turning our all electric house into something we are finally proud of and freeing us from the ever increasing cost of electricity. The project was completed in November and online December 2025.

Volt Seed is a wonderful company to work with. We purchased a home with Solar and had no idea how Solar worked or if the system was working. They walked us through the entire process of inspecting the system, fixing an inverter, and turning it on. They even helped with transferring the system into our name and setting it up with the electric company. The technician, Shawn, is incredible. He explained how solar worked and patiently answered all of our questions. Shawn is so personable and very professional and was an absolute pleasure to have as a technician. The communication throughout the entire process was wonderful. They were always available through text and email to update us on what was happening and where we were at the process. I would highly recommend this company.

I was scammed by vision solar who abandoned my project. I had 2 separate companies come in and swear they could get my panels connected, only to waste years before calling it quits. Volt Seed Solar came in and assured me from the get go that this was manageable. No games, no extra fees, no excuses. I paid them in April and my panels are on and generating power this first week of June. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They were fast, always kind, and clear from the start what was needed.

Unfortunately this field is FILLED with predators and I am writing this to assure people like me who had to deal with 3 scammers, that this is the legitimate company you are looking for.
