I am very impressed with New American Solar and its team of designers, contractors, and installers. Brett and Laura explained the process thoroughly and set expectations on steps and timeline from start to finish. We began the process at the end of July and our system was ready for Evergy just after Labor Day.

The installers were polite and professional and could answer any questions about the system's operation. The installation of the anchors was extremely fast, straight, and astonishingly precise for such a large machine. They were also meticulous in ensuring nothing was missed and conducted their own inspections before departing the project.

Brett has been by the house several times to look at the work and make sure we were happy with the installation, as well as, answer any questions we had now that the system is in place. I highly recommend New American Solar if you are looking to go solar.

We were supposed to receive a guaranteed $1000 referral check. It took about 5mo and we received $500 for an inconvenience, not the $1000 referral check. Asked multiple times what went wrong, with no response.

I got a reimbursement check since my first bill wasn't $0, but the family is referred, still hasn't gotten a reimbursement check. We were told if it wasnt 0 that we would get these.

We learned we'll never see a $0 bill. After contacting our electric company, they said a lot of people are being told their bill will be $0, but 1) you'll always have a meter fee, 2) almost every electric company has peak hour fees so even if you have solar, you're not exempt from that. Just confirm with your electric company what charges you'll still have. Only one bill was $0, and I realized that isn't a typical thing. 5 bills since have been $83-126, which is significantly less. Before solar they were $280-500. All that to say, we still have a bill on top of solar payment. Here in 25 years, it'll be worth it.

Horrible experience! We have had nothing but problems and lies. Our system does not produce what we were promised and I can hardly get anyone to return my calls. Would NEVER recommend them. Still trying to figure out what to do with a $30,000 system that doesn't produce even half of what we need. What a waste of money! Next stop might be contacting the BBB. I am over calling them every week to see how they are going to make this right. 2.5 year nightmare.

Kudos to John Shepard for answering all my questions in clear, understandable language. Together we explored several options designed to meet not only my energy needs but my budget as well. Buying solar is daunting. I had the opportunity to work with Marilyn Seibert at Planet Solar and she took a process that was extremely complex and distilled it down to one to where, at the end, I felt comfortable and informed.

We signed a contract with Planet Solar to install a system, and paid a $1000 deposit in April 2021. 4 months later, there is no design, no building permits and they said they are closing their central California location. Do not pay a deposit with Planet Solar; reputable installers do not request a deposit. CEO/Owner Dennis and Ben, each promised the moon, but delivers an empty glass...

After extensive research & sitting on the fence for years about solar, we finally decided on Planet Solar. The owners Marilyn & Ben Siebert were very easy to work with, answered sooo many questions, and gave us a better deal than their competitors. They also had no black marks on their company with the Better Business Bureau (unlike the other guys). We ended up with high-quality panels, that were professionally installed by their crew. One of the things that we greatly appreciate is that they took the extra effort to not run ugly conduit across our roof and up our walls, and painted the mounts to match our Spanish tile. We were in agreement that we should install the panels on a rack on the back of our house, for aesthetics, and also since we have quite a few palm trees in the front that shade the front of the house. Even though we have a south-facing home, you cannot see the 28 solar panels from the front of the house! They were able to secure low-cost financing for us, and, even before we get our Federal rebate, our payments are about what we were paying for our SCE Level Pay plan. Once we get our rebate next year at tax time, we will be able to re-amortize the loan, if we desire, and lower the payment. We only pay a $10 monthly fee to SCE to be on the grid. We may even end up with a rebate check from SCE after 1 year. We plan to accelerate payments to our solar loan to pay it off early & have free electricity!!! Installing solar ended up being a no-brainer!!!

With Pg and E going up year after year my husband and I had been considering solar for over 2 years. We had done several different consultations none of the companies could meet 100% of our production needs. After we meet with Ben the owner of Planet Solar we knew we had found the company we wanted to go with. The entire experience has been seamless from consultation to installation. We are now up and running and watching the savings happen.
