Chris G. helped me with quote, was scheduled to do leasing and the system was installed, right after they finished the install, the leasing company went under, and the team at Solar Me was great at figuring out options since the financing had gone under unexpectedly. They were able to get it set up where I now own the system and worked with me to figure out the next step forward, with no pressure as they worked to give me options! Would recommend the team to anyone between Chris answering all my questions along the planning and signing up, to the inspection of the house/roof before install to the team during install, and then the team all along the way!

The initial consultation went like a dream. Our solar system was very well thought out and all our questions were answered. Installation was also smooth and done in a timely manner. For the next year or so a few adjustments needed to be done and this process was not handled very well. Eventually, everything was completed and since then the system runs like clockwork. It allows us to save an enormous amount of money and do something good for the planet! Added bonus: it provides an harbor for the dear… a cool place in the summer and a shelter in the winter!

We are so impressed with Optimal Lighting Solutions! Darren did an amazing job — our house looks beautiful and we’ve gotten so many compliments from neighbors. The whole process was easy and professional. Highly recommend!

This is my 2nd year using Optimal Lighting Solutions for our holiday lights. They are responsive, show up on time and do a great job. Dallas and Ethan installed our lights this year and they were friendly, listened to what we wanted, and took the care to get the job done to our satisfaction. Great job!

Huge shoutout to Jack, Sean, and Davin for an absolutely outstanding Christmas light install. These guys showed up on time, worked fast, and somehow still delivered top-tier quality — my house looks incredible. They knocked it out in record time without cutting corners, and everything is clean, even, and professionally done. Super friendly, easy to work with, and clearly take pride in what they do.

If you want your lights up quickly and done right, ask for Jack, Sean, and Davin. Couldn’t be happier.

This is the 3rd year we've used OLS and again are completely satisfied. The communication from booking to install day is very appreciated. This year there were 3 amazing installers (Grant Dallas & Ian) who spent several hours in the RAIN to complete our house. Everything looks/works wonderful. Highly recommend!

Optimal Lighting has been lighting our very large, outside pine tree for several years and this year it came out even better than before. Alex and Sean put in great care and effort to get it exactly as I wanted. They arrived right on time and worked diligently until it was completed. They checked with me several times to make sure they were getting it just as I asked. Normally my husband puts the icicle lights on the house, but since he had just had knee replacement surgery, they offered to take care of those lights as well. That was above and beyond what I expected. When they were finished they cleaned up everything leaving the yard neat and clean. I will definitely have Optimal back next year and will ask for Alex and Sean again. Thank you all so very much.

The initial call was handled in an efficient, professional way. Very impressed at the level of experience as my request for the type of lighting was understood. They sent pictures of the plan plus cost. This included the lighting, installation, timers and removal. Hassle free. Something we need during this crazy holiday season.

Davin did a great job lighting up the front of our house. He communicated with us throughout the installation, and made sure everything was as we wanted it. Our kids were thrilled when they came home from school to see the lighting display.

We started the process with Astrawatt Solar (of Kansas City? Of St. Louis? I’m still unclear about which office we officially worked with because they passed us back and forth so many times) in March 2025. The installation was scheduled for the end of May 2025, got moved to the end of June because of the STL tornado and Ameren availability. In June 2025, 2 electricians from KC worked on my house for 2 days, couldn’t complete their portion allegedly because Ameren didn’t show up, and went back to KC. A full month later, in July, a local crew showed up and worked for 4 days. At the end of that week the solar panels were installed on my roof, the Powerwall battery was attached to my basement wall, and everything appeared to be in place. However, the system failed final electrical inspections with the county on 7/18/25, 8/1/25 and 8/25/25. As the electrician who met the inspectors was leaving my house, he said the company needed to regroup after so many failed inspections and go over everything carefully so it would pass next time. He tried to blame STL county saying the inspectors kept coming up with new things that were wrong. That was the last time I saw anyone from Astrawatt.

The day before the final inspection, they sent me a second “payment due” notice on the final payment with a message that said they were unable to submit everything to Ameren until it was paid in full, so I submitted the payment. That was a huge mistake on my part.

After many emails and attempts to contact Astrawatt and get a timeline for completion, they stopped responding in late September 2025. At the beginning of November, I got a broadcast email from Alexander Roach saying a franchisee was taking over their existing projects and that everything would be completed by the end of 2025. I’ve emailed and called numerous times since then looking for information, but Astrawatt has disappeared.

I paid the company $31,000 with the understanding (they sent me the tax credit forms after final payment) that I would receive $9400 in tax credit back when I file my 2025 taxes. But if the system isn’t fully operational (and Ameren has to issue a “right to operate” once it passes final electrical inspection) by 12/31/25, we lose the tax credit option.

We are now in the process of trying to find an electrician who will finish the job so that we can submit for the tax credit, but today is 12/12/25 and time is running out.

In summary, I paid $31,000 for a non operational solar panel system from Astrawatt Solar. Once I find a way to get it working (at additional expense), I will likely have to deal with a legal battle to recoup my additional expense and possibly the tax credit amount they prevented me from qualifying for. The stress and headache caused by this shady company cannot be overstated. Run far, far away.

****update-Astrawatt suddenly resurfaced 2 weeks ago. I received a call from a new person I didn’t recognize saying they didn’t know we had a problem and found out when STL county started refusing to let them pull permits or schedule inspections. After this call, someone arrived the next day and completed the work. It passed final inspection on 12/29 and is currently operational and qualifies for the tax credit thankfully. After this much headache, I still don’t trust or recommend them, but at least I mostly got what I paid for…

The whole process from start to finish was really organized. Rising Sun is very prompt, courteous and everything was laid out for me with much detail. Rhody and Desmond were always available to answer my questions and I had a lot! Megan stayed in contact with us through the whole process and we always knew what was going on. The installation crew was always on time for the work day and was polite and courteous and cleaned up after themselves every day. The emphase app is extremely easy to use and I love checking it everyday to see how much energy the panels are producing. I also love that is shows real time what our panels are producing compared to how much energy we are using. The panels are great quality and look really nice on our roof. We've recommended RisingSun to all of our friends and neighbors. Top Notch Company we are so glad we were able to work with them!

THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY - DO NOT BUY FROM ASTRAWATT - NO SERVICE WARRANTY. While I was originally happy with my installation, about 14 months into my ownership I had a micro inverter go out. No big deal I thought, enphase was quick to send a new one, but Astrawatt went through some business restructuing and now for service calls you have to pay upfront. Ok I thought, how do I get reimbursed? 2 months, 8 calls, and multiple email attempts later, NO ONE will tell me how to get reimbursed. The local service office said Corporate appears to have dropped all their existing customers. That is exactly how I feel. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASTRAWATT SOLAR. STAY AWAY.

I did a ton of research into solar panels and was lucky enough to get the most passionate and informative sales rep on the planet, Rhody. He took the time to answer all of my questions and listen to what I had to say.

After signing my agreement, Megan took over as the project manager and kept me in the loop as to what was going on, how long it would take as well as any updates she had on her end. She was also very quick to answer any questions I had.

A site visit was scheduled with the project coordinator, Desmond, who came out and did a complete walk-through on my property and we determined the best place to place the ground mount system. He took a bunch of measurements and submitted them for review.

A few weeks later Megan then sent me all the plans and engineer stamps on the project.

My installation manager, Jamie, coordinated the solar installation with Megan.

The day of the solar panel installation Ryan and his crew arrived and although it rained/sprinkles off and on for those 2 days they worked with no complaints and got the job done! They were all very courteous, polite and picked up after themselves. Ryan took the time to do a walk through with me and explain the information on the Enlighten app (for the solar panels).

This whole process has been very smooth and I have been updated the entire time. Even after my solar panel installation I received a phone call from Jamie stating when the inspector was planning on coming out as well as another follow up email from Megan explaining that an inspection would take place and then a net meter would be installed.

Everybody I have came in contact with has been very polite, answered all of my questions and I could tell they are all very passionate about their work.

I can’t thank you enough for such a great experience with these guys and that’s why I would highly recommend going with them for your solar panel needs!

I spent several months learning about solar and researching solar companies. I got proposals from five different companies. I chose Astrawatt for two reasons. One was their Google Reviews and the other was Bryan B. He provided me with more information about their company, solar in general, and what would be best for my house than anyone else I spoke with. I was looking for a ground mount system. It was recommended by another solar company that I use an adjustable ground mount rack. Astrowatt did not install that product but in working with Bryan B., they agreed to learn, train and have their team install it for me. Best thing I ever did. The Astrawatt crew who erected my system learned all about the installation process and I must say Alex and his team did a great job. I now have a 16.2 kW system that I can adjust for maximum returns on my investment.

Astrawatt, recently taken and managed by Fidelis Renewables, was a smooth sailing ship! Excellent experience from start to finish. The team was knowledgeable, transparent, and made the install seem easy. Really good communication and final walk through of how to use the app, what to track, and how to see the best results. I feel confident about what the future has in store at my house and with the Fidelis relationship!

Oh where to begin. I’d say on a whole, their price was about the same as other quotes I got and the equipment was pretty much the same. Sales staff, engineering staff, and installers were all very knowledgeable.

Their organization SUCKS though. I got my quote in August and the system wasn’t turned on until FEBRUARY. Communication was non existent about what was happening and when or when my family would be without power. Installers treated my home like a job site and left things feeling unfinished; I took 5 contractor bags of trash to the dump myself and had to finish burying the last 12ft of cable myself. Because there is no system of quality checks or accountability in the org, no one has checked on the final product or how my system is working out.

If they aren’t cheaper than the other guys, and they are putting in about the same equipment, the only thing that differentiates one solar org from another is their service. In end, I wish I had chosen a different company and saved myself the headaches. I cannot recommend this place.

After 10 years of having solar panels, we decided to get a back up battery installed. We received multiple bids from several companies and decided to go with Astrawatt now operated by Fidelis Renewables.

I dealt with Alex and from start to finish, the entire transaction went smoothly. He was patient with my endless questions and concerns. He provided me with multiple battery options and we opted for the Tesla Powerwall. During the process, we also decided to upgrade our electrical panel to a Span smart electrical panel. If you're considering upgrading your electrical panel, you should check out the Span.

The project was completed on time. The installation team was punctual, polite, and cleaned up prior to leaving.

I highly recommend Astrawatt Solar and will use them again in the future if I have any solar needs.

The people at New American Solar went above and beyond explaining and installing our solar panels! They got them installed super fast! A very great experience and highly recommend!!!

Scout came out to our property to inform us about the Solar Energy Savings program today. He was a very informative and a respectful gentleman while explaining how everything works. Unfortunately we are in the process of selling our home so we did not qualify here. When we have our new house built, we will be going through Scout and The New American Solar.

Since I’m moving in tops 2 years I won’t qualify but Jacob assured me that the company will be honest about my next home being qualifiable or not. He had all the answers I learned a few things about solar and he was super respectful and proffesional.
