Excavating Contractor reviews across the US

Would 100% recommend Jason and his team for all of your DIY and or small commercial projects. MBS demolished an existing /abandoned reflecting pond on our property, installed some boulder retaining walls, and rough/fine graded around 6,000 square feet of lawn. Our backyard is forever transformed and will be enjoyed by our kids and us for years to come. Thank you MBS!

MBS is the best around! Jason and his team provide top notch service all around. Scheduling, flexibility, hard work, and dedication they provide on every job. They have been excavating for us at Donnelly’s Home Comfort Specialist’s for over 2 years now and we couldn’t be more pleased! They present themselves in such a high manor even our clients have nothing but great things to say about them. Would highly recommend for any of your excavation needs!

Just had MBS come out to level an area for an above ground pool. From the very start of our conversations, Jason listened to our concerns and was very prompt with his replies. Professional and courteous from start to finish. The quality of his work is absolutely astounding. It would have taken me weeks to accomplish what Jason did in a few hours. I highly recommend MBS, and would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Jason and the team were great. I needed a few stumps removed and I needed a flat area in the middle of the backyard for the fire pit. They did a great job and I can’t wait for the grass to finish growing so I can sit around a level fire pit! It’s obvious that they want to make sure they get the job done right. They listened to what I asked and stayed until it was perfect. Thanks Jason and team for all the hard work!

Jason and his crew did an excellent job on installing a new gravel driveway for me. For those that have tried to do work in the COVID world we are in, they would know contractors are all extremely busy right now.
Jason was incredibly professional and responsive, as well as giving realistic quotes and pricing. There wasn’t any of the typical lowball pricing that often happens with contractors and then up selling when anything out of the ordinary is encountered. The work was done quickly, properly, and the site left in excellent condition after the work was done.

I hired MBS to jack hammer and remove a bunch of concrete on my property from an old pool. I went with MBS because the quote was fair and reasonable. It was presented in a very polished and professional manner as a clear itemized list, broken down by price. I appreciate the transparency. Jason stayed in touch and scheduled a time to complete the work. He arrived on time, was personable and more importantly did a great job. I can tell he takes pride in his work. I was very satisfied with the end product. I plan to use him in the future and you should too.

MBS were very responsive and professional as they started and completed the job I needed at the most reasonable price and I couldn't be more satisfied!!!!! There are very limited businesses in this area providing this service and didn't return calls or quoted way too much for what I needed but MBS returned my call immediately and completed the job in a timely manner. I highly recommend Jason and Sean for any landscaping improvement projects you may have!!!! Very courteous and friendly and listened to my detailed wants and delivered exactly what I wanted!!!!

MBS provided the finishing touch on our front yard where a tree had been removed after the stump was ground. Their professional opinion helped us get the job done the right way. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend their services. Easy to communicate with and fair pricing. Love finding a nice local business.

Jason and his guys were great to work with! I wanted to build a patio in my backyard and the quotes I got from companies to do the whole thing were outrageous. I decided to do it myself but knew I needed help digging in my rocky soil and bringing in the base material. Jason and his guys excavated an area for my patio, put down the base, compacted it, and left sand in my backyard so I could screed and lay pavers. They saved me so much effort and money!

Jason was so easy to work with. He texted me updates on his schedule, followed through on his estimates, asked the right questions, and made sure I was happy with the work after they finished. That’s how you run a business! I couldn’t even get other companies to consistently respond to my calls or texts.

Honestly if you’re looking to put in a paver patio, don’t pay a company sky-high prices to do the whole thing, and don’t think about digging it yourself by hand. Jason and his crew know what they’re doing and they’ll save your back and your wallet!

I recently worked alongside Jason and Jameson installing a french drain system, and they were great to work with. I’ve done a few projects with Shane in the past, and he’s awesome too.
They show up, work hard, and get the job done right. As a contractor, I appreciate and respect that more than anything. I was happy, but more importantly, my client was delighted. Excellent company; I highly recommend.

I contacted MBS to resolve a sinkhole issues caused by my septic system. Jason quickly contacted me and scheduled time to come out and look at my situation. He was upfront and honest with his evaluation. The communication was excellent. Jason kept me abreast of any scheduling change caused by rain. Once onsite, the team kept me informed of the steps and ensured that I had a good understanding of what was happening next.
MBS is a very professional company. I'm was very happy with the service that was provided. Based on my experience, I have already recommended them to someone else that is having an issue with a sinkhole.

I highly recommend Mini Backhoe Services. Our yard was in rough shape after the previous owner incorrectly filled in a pool, sloping it towards the house. Jason and his team came in and made sure that our yard was no longer sloping towards the home (which helped our wet basement). In addition, they gave us more flat, useable land than I expected. They met all of our needs, seeing the job all the way through. Jason is professional and genuinely cares about the quality of his work. He is responsive and extremely easy to work with. We would be glad to use him and his team again in the future.

MBS gets a 5 star in quality of work, customer service, and pricing. Shane came out quickly to scope the area I wanted leveled and graded and another area where I needed a 5' x 65' pea gravel walkway dug and installed. Jason got me the quote quickly and was very communicative and flexible with the scheduling.

Shane and John ran the project and were the machine operators for the two days. They had a summer helper. Everyone on the job was friendly, professional, and made sure I was happy with how the project was going. They swept and cleaned up incrementally and often, keeping my property clean while they were working and checked in when the job was done.

A couple days later, Jason reached out to make sure I was satisfied, which I am. I'll be using MBS again for other landscaping projects in the future.

MBS was an excellent source for our electrical contracting business. They were quick to respond, easy to work with, and very professional with helping us on our commercial project. We will absolutely be working with Jason and his crew again!

The owner, Jason, was recommended to me by my awesome landscaper. Jason is a super nice guy, and really easy to communicate with. To be honest, one of the nicest contractors I've had the pleasure of dealing with! We are about to buy & install a nice playground set for our child, and wanted to be sure our yard was level in the spot where we wanted to put it. After Jason & his colleague Chris took their time with me to measure the area, and then we kept trying different spots, he told me that the final spot we all agreed on was already fairly level, and he really didn't need to do anything. Jason was very honest, and took his time and didn't want me to make any hasty decisions as to where to install the playset. He saved us a lot of money! I am very appreciative of his kindness, honesty, and professionalism, and would gladly hire him for anything in the future! I also highly recommend his services! Thank you again, Jason & Chris for your help!

Awsome work, hired Jason to dig out for my addition basement foundation. Jason and Shane were Awsome went above and beyond to help meet deadlines with concrete guys!

I'm really happy with the work performed. MBS dug out and leveled an area for a partial in-ground pool. They were professional, neat, and kept me in loop during the whole process. I highly recommend them.

Jason is the best, very professional and friendly. Definitely will recommend this company to my friends.

I had such a great experience with Mini Backhoe Services. They tackled some difficult issues in my yard and I’m so glad that I don’t have to worry about it anymore. And they were so careful about leaving tracks… very professional! I would definitely recommend them!

I had the pleasure of working closely with Jason on an excavation project. He was extremely professional, helpful in assisting me and my crew member complete our tasks, and took great care of the homeowners property while operating machinery. Highly recommend his company, and I look forward to our next project.

Jason and Shane were awesome. They handled my old improperly decommissioned septic tank in my backyard with ease. Professional, responsive, and easy to deal with. Would recommend, would use again.
