Carlos and his team were quick to respond to my initial inquiry, prompt in sending me their quote, and did a great job on our landscaping project!

I have tried many other landscape companies in the past and none of them compare to the job that King Kutz is doing on my property. I want to give a special shout out to Carlos! He is amazing! He is very professional, always on time, very good at communicating, and great work ethic. If the company sees this review please share this review with him and let him know how much he is valued. Carlos and his team did a great job updating the landscape at one of our rental properties. King Kutz was easy to work with especially as we are located in Michigan and the property is in Florida. He sent us pictures of the plant and hardscape material and was punctual and thorough throughout the process. The finished project came out just as we had envisioned. Thank you King Kutz!!

Where do I even start... had an amazing experience with King Kutz! The entire front side of our home had a tired, 30+ year landscape and it needed a facelift. For the initial meeting, these guys (and gals :)) were great to work with. They helped me with creating a vision for things, provided lots of options, remained very flexible throughout the process as we added a few elements. They were always prompt, professional and Carlos, the owner, is just a solid guy... believes in doing things the right way and making sure his customers are 100% satisfied.

I found them to be very competitive from a cost standpoint... but honestly even if they were more than others, they are worth every penny. Highly recommend them! A+

Communication 3/10. The grass is always cut great but communication is not good. I have to continually reach out. No one responds. We are almost almost going on two weeks without being serviced . If we’re not serviced by the end of this week. I genuinely follow-up and sent a text and called no reply. we already payed for two weeks in advance . And then no one comes out last week and so far nothing this week so far ? I understand to wait 24-72 hours before a response. But after that ? This is unacceptable. I wasn’t going to write a review because I don’t do that but when someone already payed in advance can you just let them know yes we’re back on schedule. One week I told them to not come because we doing work in the yard. No response to that either. I wasn’t upset they couldn’t come out , but I let them know we will take care of it ourselves just for that week ONLY. So of course I expect you to come the week after that and resume because already payed in advance and only told them to hold for that one week only! The owner is very nice and genuine and the guys works fast but please fix the communication. This makes me want to go find somewhere else .

Carlos did a great job. Responded quickly. Showed up when he said. Did the work fast. We love our new design.

Edit to Review. Our Palm tree was damaged so we went to lowes to price the quoted $345.00 sago palm that was installed only to find out the exact palm cost $22.00. We were grossly overcharged. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They will take you for a serious ride . I guess I have to live and learn the hard way.

Amazing work! Affordable and extremely quick!

King Kutz completed a total update of the outside of our home. Carlos designed everything with new plants and trees, paver driveway and sidewalks, a new landscaping wall and updated irrigation. He gave us options with his suggestions so we were able to choose the plants we liked, stone colors and the end placement of everything. The work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. We are very happy with the completed project

King Kutz has been maintaining my lawn and recently redid the landscaping in front of my house.

They did an excellent job. The team is professional, polite and the owner takes the time out to listen to what your vision and expectations are.

I’ve had really bad experiences with landscaping companies in the past, my husband and I are glad to have found King Kutz.

We contacted King Kutz for a small landscape project at one of our rental properties and despite our offices being located in Michigan and the property being in Florida, they took care of us and went the extra mile to send us pictures of all hardscape and plant material for our review prior to installing. Other companies would not have wanted to do this as we are not local or would have blew off this smaller job. Communication and timeliness was great and overall Carlos is just a great and honest guy. Our project turned out great and our property went from shabby to have real curb appeal!

AWFUL experience last palate of sod was full of bugs and never rooted. Had a $741.00 water bill trying to help and had sprayed for chinch bugs. I pulled up 35 pieces which King Kutz did come by and pick up. Have and need to pull up more. I paid a lot for 3 palates of sod and they are not standing behind it. Terrible way to do business and his sod suppliers should work with him. Makes me sick I was taken advantage of. It started out as good experience but went south within 2 days.

First of all upon meeting this young man,I found him to be very pleasant and kind. I explained to him exactly what I wanted. Let me tell you they far exceeded beyond what I asked them to do, he is such a visionary. I watched them do their work they was very proficient. He definitely knows what he is doing. From this point on any lawn project that I have I will be calling upon King kutz Landscaping Inc. Thank you Carlos & crew!!!!!!!

Carlos and his team at King Kutz have done a great job updating and maintaining my landscape. I have never had a green thumb myself and don’t know much about plants and flowers. Carlos is always willing to help me understand potential low maintenance options and offers suggestions for me to consider. He’s great to work with and always does high quality work. I’ve been very pleased working with King Kutz!

Carlos and team was professional, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work. Everything was done on time and with great attention to detail. It’s rare to find a company that delivers exactly what they promise — King Kutz exceeded our expectations once again. My go-to landscaper and we’ll definitely be using them again!

Company did not complete landscaping service of which was paid for. Contractor destroyed sprinklers and did not repair/reimburse. Insults customers!

The following is a summary of the outstanding issues for services rendered:

In May 2019, it was agreed upon that a complete lawn service would be rendered for the property to include mowing, blown/bagged leaves, and, trimming of palm trees and all hedges. We accepted a $15 overgrowth charge. A check for $350 was paid to King Kutz. In addition, a check payment for $160 was paid for a lawn mow, and tree/hedge trim. Castro accepted and cashed all check payments. There was confusion as to billing services that was captured via text. However, we do not have any outstanding charges as we have covered all costs to date. Castro indicated that he was running out of time and needed to leave, however, he promised to return to complete the job in good faith. Shortly after he left, we noticed that our sprinklers were not operating because they had been destroyed, along with a destroyed sprinkler wiring valve cover, during his lawn service. I contacted him to return and repair the damages as well as complete the contracted work. He never repaired all the sprinklers he damaged. Services were also not completed as the trimming of the palm tree and backyard hedges were never done, and, still to-date, remain unfinished.

POST SERVICE TIMELINE:

• June 5th Castro came to inspect the damaged sprinklers. He removed and retained the damaged sprinklers, flagged damaged sprinkler sites and dug holes where the sprinklers were located.
• June 12th a text message was sent to him asking him to complete the services. That text was never answered
• June 18th another text message was sent to Castro, asking him to complete the services. That text was never answered June 24th another text message was sent to Castro, asking him to complete the services, and, inquiring on resolution for damaged sprinklers. He denied responsibility. This came as a surprise to us as it was understood that the work done on June 5th was the acknowledgement of responsibility, and, the commitment to repair the damages his services caused. We did not appreciate nor approve his removal of our sprinklers from our property. It is inappropriate to remove and keep our sprinklers without our consent and withhold resolution.
• June 27th I was home and witnessed from my kitchen window that Castro came by briefly. But never completed the aforementioned outstanding services nor repaired the sprinklers.
It has been a month since initial services were rendered. All check payments have been cashed. But services have yet to be completed. The palm trees and bushes have yet to be trimmed. And there is still an outstanding claim for damaged sprinklers for him to repair/reimburse. Additionally, during our phone conversation today, it was disconcerting to learn that Castro blames the property owners for his destruction of sprinklers due to overgrowth. He stated that property owners automatically take responsibility for any consequences when they have overgrown lots. This is the first time we have heard of this as it was never disclosed to us prior to his services. Regrettably, during several times throughout our conversation, He blamed his damages on "the condition of our property". This is the first time we have heard of this since there was no initial mention of "property condition" concerns; except for a $15 overgrowth fee when he accepted the job. We would have never agreed to the services had he initially disclosed his position.

Obviously, we are justifiably frustrated. As a business owner, it should be a priority to ensure that all paid services are rendered and completed. Rather than taking the opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction, he used today's phone conversation as an opportunity to place blame, and, make disparaging remarks eluding to the fact that I was not capable of having a reasonable conversation because I am a woman.
We continue to await resolution.

Contracted King Kutz to install planting bed curbing. Result was exactly what we had envisioned. Carlos and his crew were awesome to work with.

Carlos and his King Kutz Landscaping team did a wonderful job with our front yard garden beds, drip line irrigation, weed barrier, and edging! We love the modern and clean look of our new front yard garden beds! We will definitely use this landscaping company for our future landscaping projects! Thank you Carlos!
