Short Version: I highly recommend Kalen and his team! If I need any tree service in the future, they will be my first call.

Long Version: Our Experience
Kalen worked with me as a subcontractor. Before choosing them, I made 11 calls to various tree service companies and received 9 estimates. We ultimately chose this company because they were the only ones who suggested digging up our bamboo area instead of stump grinding it. Stump grinding bamboo essentially gives it 10,000 chances to come back in the future.

The estimate included:
1. Excavating (digging up) the bamboo area and removing all the small trees/stumps around it.
2. Removing a huge oak tree with a beehive inside.
3. Removing 3 smaller trees (1'-2' each).
4. Stump grinding all 4 of these trees, leaving the mulch afterward.
5. Pruning 1 palm tree.
6. Pruning 1 oak tree on the corner of the property.
7. Pruning 1 large oak in the center of the front yard.

The entire job was supposed to be completed in one day (Saturday), but it ended up taking 1.5 days (Saturday and Sunday) with no extra charge.

First of all, I want to highlight that Kalen and his team arrived early and started working immediately. They worked continuously, each team member focused on their tasks. Despite having worked six days in a row, they were polite and responsive to all of my requests.

At the end of Saturday, we discovered a second beehive in the large, rotten oak tree, about 50 feet above the ground. The team resolved this by cutting down the affected section and placing it in the farthest part of the yard so they could continue working the next day. Kalen operated the BobCat skid steer masterfully and professionally—it was a pleasure to watch!

Kalen apologized for the job taking two days instead of one. But come on, guys—no one was injured (despite couple of bee stings per team member), and the roof remained undamaged. That’s already a fantastic result! Thank you very much for your hard work!

In conclusion, Kalen is a man of his word and knows what he's doing. This combination makes him exceptional both as a person and as a tree professional—qualities that are very rare these days.

Important Lessons for Me:
1. Never try to save the bees! It might sound cruel, but never attempt to save bees in a tree you plan to cut down. Hire someone to safely remove them with a vacuum. A bee-stung team and your own discomfort aren't worth the effort. Do this at least a week before the tree work so the bees are gone for sure.
2. Don't leave large pieces of wood in your yard. I left the piece with the second beehive, and now I have to cut it up and remove it myself. Without a skid steer and a big powerful chainsaw, this is a nightmare! I wish I had asked Kalen to take it away with the rest of the wood. That was my mistake.
3. Be prepared for lawn damage. There's no way to do this kind of job with heavy equipment without damaging your lawn. Accept it and be ready to recover your lawn next season.
4. Treat the team if you can. They will work hard all day with no lunch break, so providing them with some tasty food and ice-cold water will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I don't know what is happened but I write this review in July 2024. And I hope you can see it.

Lots of knowledge, skills, and safety amongst the team that removed dead branches as well as trimming and removal of limbs hanging over the house and street. The team work was smooth and all large limbs and branches were tied off for controlled falls to the ground. They did a great job with clean up afterwards. I’m was very happy with the work that was done on two oaks and a maple.

Withholding my review until the job is complete. The job was started yesterday June 21,2024. Today’s crew left at 1:30 because the boss called and said they had an emergency. So I’m waiting.

This company hired terrible drivers, almost got ran over on my bike by a trailer because the driver is merging lanes without looking and without taking into account they have a trailer behind them. Truck number 0042 - 8:18 am on July 23. Driver was getting off 408 eastbound and went on to the far right without looking.
I called the number on the truck to report them - no answer

I'm an HOA board member & I had a consultation with Enviro Tree Service for our HOA's needs. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and expertise of Dana Mickler. He spent over 90 minutes walking our entire neighborhood with me, thoroughly evaluating the trees, identifying concerns (including a few that others had missed), and patiently explaining everything in detail. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and generous with his time—going above and beyond what I expected from a consultation. I came away from the experience far more informed and confident in understanding our community’s tree care needs. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a thorough and professional arborist.
