We paid $150 to have someone come out to help design our landscaping. Was told by the employee he would get it back to us within a week or two. After 3 weeks of not hearing anything we proceeded with another landscaper that was timely and responsive. I called to request our $150 deposit back and was told that they had the design ready that day and that our deposit was non-refundable. They are the ones that breached the contract but still refused to refund our money. They were very rude and unprofessional about the matter. Don't waste your money going there!

Where do I start, I did not pick this contractor to do my irrigation or any other work. My builder Arnold Roberts did. According to the lady answering the phone at his office Danny Yates does NOT back his product.

I have a broken sprinkler head that I did NOT break. She said they inspected the system in February. I didn’t move in until March 15. There were contractors and workers here that entire time. I had never seen the sprinklers operate. The builder programed the system to come on at midnight. I’m in bed at that time.

Shortly after I moved in I did notice a trench on my property line getting deeper. I also noticed dirt on the seawall. I assumed it had something to do with rain. This morning I was getting ready to close up the house, for memorial day week, and I tested the system for the first time and found that bubbling water was coming out of the ground in one of the spots where a sprinkler head should be. I had to dig down just to retrieve it. So it’s been that way for a long time. I called Danny Yates today to ask him to take care of it. The lady in the office proceeded to tell me they don’t back their product. Suffice it to say I was incredulous.

I think it’s important before you buy from someone to know what they refuse to do. Unfortunately I didn’t get that opportunity. YOU DO!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Unless you want a company that does NOT back their products. In my opinion if you won’t take care of your customers you should not be in business. Time to move on Danny Yates.

I recently visited my mother in Fla.from NJ to help with some planting and landscaping that was destroyed from the hurricane. I only had 5 days to accomplish this and visited Yates nursery, they were quick to offer assistance stating that they could be there to complete a 485.00 job we decided on. Less than 24 hours later when I called to ask them to remove an item from the order that wasn’t even delivered yet I was nastily told about a restocking fee. I was told by my credit card company that this is fraudulent because the charge was still in the pending stage. When I contacted Yates the same women vehemently refused to listen and also told me they couldn’t get the work done like they promised. I cancelled the job and was still charged on my credit card for services not performed! I intend to report this to the BBB. I should have listened to my sister who used them previously and also had problems.

Troy and the Danny Yates Landscaping team did a phenomenal job repairing fill washout and replacing sod on a new construction site. We were also very pleased with their landscape design and with the quality of new palms and plants and the care they took to install. Yates truly lived up to their impeccable reputation!

They did a great job for me at my new home in Cape Coral. Lisa in particular is always responsive and helpful and they’ve always done what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, for the price they quoted. Rare these days. I will continue to use Danny Yates for our properties landscaping.

So we went there after seeing ads, walking around for a hour and no one asked if we needed help but where having a nice conversation on the side of the building.

Had a great time working with this company. The office ladies were great. I worked with Annette and she was attentive to all my needs and questions. My yard has never looked better! My favorite part is their shade room of beautiful alocasia and pothos and other shade plants.

This weekend my husband and I bought three Magnolia trees from Danny Yates. The three ladies that were working were absolutely wonderful! They were helpful with our shopping and very friendly and pleasant. They helped us load up our trees and made it a great shopping experience. They also have a huge selection of trees and plants to choose from. I highly recommend them for your plant and tree needs and will definitely be a returning customer in the future!

Updated on 7/16/2021: Unfortunately one of our magnolias died out of no where, while the other two are doing great. I called Danny Yates and they insisted it was either our maintenance or how we planted the tree. However, all the trees have been treated the same exact way. Which I do think is BS, but okay. All they could offer us was $30 off of a new $300+ tree. They refused to help us out because we didn't have them install the trees. However, when we bought them they talked us out of having them installed because they were backed out over a week. And they never told us that by not using their installation, our trees would not be covered if they die. This is very disappointing, especially since I was so impressed by them before. Many other reviews mention issues with this business and unfortunately now I understand why.

Professional! Beautiful work! Highly recommended! Competent, thorough and fast! Today Sebastian from Danny Yates Landscaping and crew did a beautiful job of planting and top rock and mulching. Cleaned up and planted a lot of barren areas due to Hurricane Ian over a year ago and looks so much better now. Lisa the landscape designer had an awesome plan and it was so good to see it come to life today Even went above and beyond by replanted a plant that we were pulling out into a planter pot. And they checked our sprinkler system too. Will be calling them again!

I had Yates Landscaping redesign the flowerbed areas around my house. Lisa was fantastic to work with. She really listened to what types of plants and flowers I liked and didn't like and came up with a plan that made my yard beautiful. The crew that came out to do there work was quick - it was a hive of activity. I had some special considerations with some of the plants that were being removed and they were extremely accommodating. I did knock off one star as they charge a percentage service fee if paying with a credit card. Many of my neighbors have commented on how beautiful my new landscaping looks.

I started service with Yates in mid-March when I bought my house. The lawn was stressed. Yates fertilized and adjusted the irrigation. In just a couple of months the lawn is revitalized. Lawn and shrubbery appears manicured.

Troy and his team did an amazing job on our yard post Ian. They installed new landscaping, sod, sprinklers and lighting. It's beautiful!!! They were extremely easy to work with, were very professional and have absolutely stood behind their work and their materials. I can't recommend them enough. I wish I could give them ten stars!!!

We spent over 3,400 on 7 palms they were delivered and planted on 1/27/25 . Driving by the nursery on that day I notice a sale sign that said buy one palm get one free . I called the office asked if I could be credited for one palm or get an extra palm since the sale started the day we had ours delivered . A manager said no because the purchase was done before the sale started. I asked why I wasn’t informed ahead of time of the sale and I would of waited to purchase they said they have no idea when they get their sale ahead of time . I think that can not be true must all business have an idea on sale dates. I am Very disappointed on how little care they showed about my concern . I also sent them an email on 2/5/25 and no response to date . Thank you

Troy has been fantastic to work with—extremely knowledgeable and always helpful. We initially connected with Danny Yates through our home builder and had such a positive experience during our landscape consultation that we decided to utilize their maintenance services. We’re looking forward to collaborating on future landscaping projects with Troy and the Danny Yates team!

Wow. Just wow! We paid for a pallet of sod. This was on 10/3/2024. We still have no sod and no refund. I understand there was a hurricane however this is not acceptable.
We reached out to the company and were told “we don’t just arbitrarily give refunds” to which we found out that “Patti” the salesperson never entered our order but did in fact take our money. When speaking with staff we are directed to “Vicky” the one who does payroll. She has then delayed refunding our money by stating “I have to do payroll and I will call you back” which that was Wednesday and no call what so ever. When we called yesterday to ask about status of refund, once again another excuse “we are cutting you a check do you want it mailed or pick up” to which I am picking it up, no chance of them “losing it etc” I was told I would get a call to let me know when I could pick this up.
Enter today, Friday 10/18/24, was just told by Vicky that “it still needs to be signed by the owner who isn’t available yet” when I asked when it would anticipated he would be in she said “ I don’t know” and then proceeded to be very short when I stated I will call back at 3:30 to ask again. This is reasonable to ask as we have been waiting all week for some resolution however this company clearly doesn’t care to make things right or refund money. DO BETTER DANNY AND YOUR STAFF- they are a direct reflection of you and your business. No communication??? Absolutely unacceptable. Others in the landscaping industry have since told me that this is not unusual for this company and that they are well known for “ripping people off and are known to make it difficult to get products or refunds” wow, wish I would have done my research before we went with them.
****Will update when we get our money as I firmly believe I will get a refund and if we have to involve the news etc we will. We have entered a complaint to the better business bureau of course.

Now see response below this- folks this is not accurate as we were never offered sod. They in NO WAY offered to deliver the pallet and DID NOT contact my husband. We have had to call to get information every time- they have NEVER called us. Communication is absolutely horrible with the staff, never mind that it’s the “owner replying “… sure it is, if it was then he would know that there is a problem requiring his signature on a check that should never have had to been refunded. You take money from people and don’t deliver?then it’s a hassle and a fight to get a refund… really??? Who does this- as I type I am still waiting to hear from this company about when to pick up said check. Look at the other reviews and simply sort by money… this isn’t the first review of them and money issues, lack of communication and rude staff.

FINAL Update: did just receive refund and spoke with Shannon. Shannon is the most professional and delightful person that we have dealt with at this company. Thank you Shannon for the assistance and a call back.

Lisa and her staff are very knowledgeable in all areas of lawn care, new plants, sod, irrigation & lighting services. Our new sod and irrigation system were installed quickly. We are Extremely happy with the results. They repaired/replaced a few of our landscape lights. Our new lawn and lighting is spectacular. We will use them for future projects. Thank you.

Great local Nursery. Good selection. Good prices. Extremely knowledgeable about their products that they have for sale. Also knowledgeable about putting together projects, whether it be a few plants for a small setting, to a total re-landscaping yard project.

Highly recommend to at least go in and talk to them before you start that project so you know the pros and cons of what you are planting for where you live.

They installed the irrigation system in a new home we purchased. The box on the outside of the home was locked. We called and asked for a service call and to unlock the sprinkler control box. The receptionist was unhelpful and rude. She said there was nothing they could do. I called another company who came out and assisted. I would avoid this company.

Very knowledgeable knowing their plants very helpful. Definitely would recommend going there. Great selection also.

I’m on vacation in Florida and just witnessed one of Danny Yates employees pick up a piece of trash that flew out of their truck. If I had a yard in this area, I definitely would trust this company to work for me as I feel that their employees would respect my property if they’re respecting property at a gas station. ✅
