Ross and his teams execution of how solar should be is right on point. After 4 years, we know we made a sound financial investment as it has been earning its keep. Id also like to report, no roof leaks, no system issues, nothing at all. Highly recommend.

Solar Tech Elec coordinated his team and responded to me very professionally throughout the entire roof replacement and solar system installation process. Permitting, installation, inspection and activation processes handled by Ross' direct management and coordination with his team. I had a great experience from beginning to end. Ross replied to my inquiry within a day and was able to come out that week to give me an estimate. The financing options were very reasonable so I decided to go ahead and make the switch! Ross and his team handled everything for me, including a brand new A/C installation included in the financing package. He also referred me to a tree service to clean up some branches so the panels will get more sunlight. New A/C and solar panels installed within one month! And they kept me updated on the progress. I am so excited for my solar panels and can't wait to see my energy bill! With the federal tax credit, there is no better time to get solar panels and you can't go wrong with this company.

Solar Tech did a great job retrofitting and expanding our solar system, including adding battery backup. The system looks and performs well, with the city inspector commenting that they did an excellent job. Ross and his team delivered on what they promised!

After having too few Solar Panels installed last year by a different company, Ross and Solar Tech came to our rescue! They installed additional panels and a back up battery and now our elec bills are completely covered. We are feeding energy back to the grid every day! The workers were efficient, fast and polite. Probably the worst company I've dealt with in a long time. The owner Ross is a scam artist and Celeste is extremely unprofessional. I promise you he paid for 90% of these fake positive reviews. They removed my panels on 11/3. My roofers notified them the job was done on 11/11 for them to come back and reinstall. It's now been 3 weeks and they are completely unresponsive after they missed their own deadline TWICE saying they are "backed up". Now, they are ignoring all attempts at communication. AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!

Update: After 1.5 months, my panels were re-installed. Only after reporting to Florida consumer protection and threatening legal action did Ross (owner) take me seriously. The entire communication process was a nightmare. Ross broke his own promises (regarding dates it would get done) multiple times until finally finishing the job when he was threatened with legal action. The crew is great, all the issues stem from ownership and their inability to take responsibility for their own missteps. In full transparency they took $300 off the bill because I told them they were costing me money (solar loan). About the only thing they handled correctly.

My solar installer went out of business 2 years of having panels on my home. Well as you might imagine I ran into some issues so I had no idea what to do or who to call. So, I read some reviews and called Ross at Solar Tech and he immediately made me feel at ease. He took care of my issues and even gave me an amazing deal on a few more panels I ended up needing. That's another story for another time. David also came out to my residence and troubleshooted some issues I was having. Again, thank you Ross & David at Solar Tech for an honest and helpful relationship! If anyone is feeling like they do not know who to turn too please take my advice call Solar Tech.

After shopping around for a solar system I contacted Solar Tech Elec. After discussing my wants and needs, Ross put together a proposal. Between the cost and reviews, the discussion was easy. Even more easy was the quick installation, with no hidden costs. I've been using the system for a several months now, 32kwa, plus 2 Tesla batteries for power interruptions. System works fantastic! I recently had Solar Tec Elec install a cutting-edge 18.5 kWh solar roof, and I couldn't be happier with their service. Start to finish it took only 3 months and 2 months of that was just the permitting process. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail. They took the time to answer all my questions, ensuring I understood every aspect of the installation process.

The solar roof itself is performing exceptionally well. The Enphase panels with microinverters currently produce over 90kw/hr per day and it’s a game-changer for my home energy bills. Imagine not having an electric bill or paying for gas for your car!

The whole process was much easier than expected. I needed my home and garage apartment roofed prior to proceeding with solar. Ross collaborated Team Armored roofing to get the job done. They were reasonably priced and did an excellent job. I had to wait a bit for the roof to be completed due to the hurricane backlog. The roof was done on a Friday, Ross's team arrived on Monday and had the install done in 2 days. 11.7 kW system with EV charger. Energy offset is as promised. Financing was also easy and provided with favorable terms through Climate first. Ross and his team provided good communication, quality work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Solar Tech to friends and family for their projects.

I have always been interested in solar but knew I needed to wait till I was in my presumably forever home, which we now are. In the spring, I started looking into local solar companies. I lurked on community Facebook posts, spoke with neighbors, and lined up meetings with five companies that people had used.
Ross was the first we met with, so at the time, we had no perspective. He made confident claims about his company, which I took with a grain of salt. We met with three more after him. Ross included not just the numbers in his estimate, but also detailed information about the system components so I could go look them up, which I did, so I could determine if other estimates were apples / oranges. His system components are the same as several of his competitors and he was almost $15k less expensive.
I found that he explained the tax credits very well, and appreciate that if one wants to finance their system, Ross only uses an organization that charges no dealer fees. Another company that came to present to us tried to sell me on “a great rate” for financing and when I told him I would not pay dealer fees, he visibly got nervous and smirked and asked how I knew what those were. Needless to say we asked that guy to leave.
Ross set our expectations very realistically considering we were installing the system in the dead of summer. He explained net metering in Florida very well with visuals to help drive the concept home.
When we agreed to do business after I had interviewed other companies, another point of discussion was the fact that we have trees that shade our south roof facade. The trees are mature and beautiful and healthy, and they also don’t belong to us. So, there’s only so much we could do even if we wanted to. I got two tree trimming quotes and decided to take what they would have charged for that and buy more panels instead.
In my research I discovered that even if the installer uses Enphase, they don’t always install ancillary parts of the systems and/or turn on all the options in the app, so you can’t see consumption vs production. Ross does. I geek out every day now looking at the data and knowing we are no longer slaves to Duke Energy and our thermostat.
Ross remained communicative throughout the process. His installers have been with him for years. They were personable and professional when they were at our home. Celeste, his right hand office manager gal, is friendly and always quick to respond. I live local to his business HQ, so I’m also aware of several large commercial projects they did in the next town over.
If you speak with him for an estimate, he will surely make the same confident claims about his business that he did with us. I can now say he lived up to all of them. That’s a rarity these days, so I give him credit for that and he deserves a great review.

Solar Tech did a fantastic job. They showed up just as requested. Removed the panels and associated hardware in record time in preparation for a roof replacement. Once they got the clearance from the roofer, they were back to reinstall the entire system. Cleaned everything and provided new hardware where required. Highly recommend them for all your solar panel work.
