We purchased a home in the Pinecrest area and wanted to add an additional of approximately 2,800 sqft. After many architects and engineers, we came across these guys. DoubleDay Engineers. These guys gave us ideas which were extremely creative. They are not cheap, but when you look at time, quality and the ability to design structurally sound structures, they are well worth the money. All I can say that they are awesome and we are super excited with the finished product. Wow!

We are an assisted living facility which is required to have a back up generator due to state law. DoubleDay came in sized the generator, our load demand, created plans and on the first run, had the plans approved. We are now installing a new backup generator and meet state code requirements. These guys are great at what they do. Thank you!

I had the mortgage company deny our refinance due to alleged structural problem at the house. We called Doubleday Engineering and they had an engineer the next day on site. The engineer found that we didn't have any issue and wrote a detailed report report with detailed photos countering what the mortgage company had found. These guys saved us thousands of dollars and found that the so called home inspector had missed so many specific points which wouldn't had allow us to refinance the house. Excellent work guys!!! "Terrible customer service experience"—do not use them for inspections as they do not stand by their work. Communicating with this company was nearly impossible since they do not answer their phone. After multiple attempts, we finally received a response to our emails, only for our request for assistance to be ultimately declined, and they even blocked my emails.

The reports they provided were completed using outdated, obsolete forms and were missing essential information, including digital signatures, cover letters, the required thermography report, and adequate photographs.

We contacted Doubleday Engineering to request they complete the missing elements, even offering to pay for a re-inspection given the time that had passed, they refused, stating they didn’t have time to conduct a re-inspection.

We had no choice but to hire a new company, pay again, and undertake a complete new inspection. Our request was reasonable—we simply expected them to honor their commitment and provide reports that met recertification standards. They had already done the work and it should have been easy for them to help us if they had a better disposition.

About three years ago I worked with DoubleDay Engineering to help me get my roof up to code. I’ve since moved out of state but when my relative needed some help with their home DoubleDay immediately came to mind. Their in house capability is impressive. More than that they actually show up when they say they will! Thank you

We basically hired a contractor that stole our money and lied to us. Claimed he had done structural work and when he removed the one wall, the roof almost caved in. We were terrified and looked for a structural engineering firm that could help our family in this time of crisis. We found DoubleDay Engineers and these guys came out to the house within an hour. Within 5 hours they had secured the roof and withing 3 days after that they had plans and structural calculations - which were approved by the building department, without any hiccups. ROCKS STARS. I hired Rafael to remodel my home and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of his work and professionalism. Prior to meeting Rafael, I had zero to none knowledge of construction. Rafael took the time to explain in detail the scope of work while reviewing the architectural drawings. In addition to answering all the questions I had throughout the process.

The scope of work entailed, remodeling/relocating a kitchen, floors,walls, roof, installing new HVAC, removing an structural wall/ adding a reinforcement beam. In addition to new electrical panel, windows/door openings and plumbing.

Throughout the duration of the project, Rafael and his team were committed to completing the job on time and as per the budget. Their work ethic and professionalism was second to none. I don’t typically leave reviews but when it comes to contractors and the reputation that they have I felt the need to leave one for RC Coast Construction. This is based on personal experience with my property. Rafael Carlos is an exceptional contractor with a great amount of real construction knowledge. He was tasked with a complete remodeled of my 1947 home that included the demolition of the entire roof ALL inside walls, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc. He was also tasked with replacing all of the windows and creating new window opening that required great precision. Not only was Rafael Carlos very profesional also all of his subcontractors were amazing and this is key to a successful project. At the end the house was completed as scheduled, on budget and it’s solid. RC Coast for sure knows their job very well and are one of the only companies left that have integrity!!! THANK YOU for making my kids their dream home!!
