I was delightfully surprised. The price was fair, they were efficient, pleasant and you could see they wanted us to be pleased. I have recommended them to family and friends, and will continue to do so!!!!

Terrible company don't ever use them they don't send their tech out at the appointment time told and don't even fix the issue. Whenever you try and reach Heather the owner she tells the girl working in the office to never transfer your call to her and to handle it themselves. They don't even train their employees properly. Terrible company!! They just want your money and not give you proper professional service and the owner Heather is completely unprofessional and treats you like a dollar bill and not a client!

Recently moved into an older (1974) home in Margate, FL. Most of the homes in our 70s-era neighborhood are running large inefficient "package" ac units. (The design confines the air handler and condensor into a single unit outside the home. With most modern "split" systems, the air handler is in the garage or house and the coils are outside.) Just a couple package unit replacements are available because of the older design, and the replacements can only get up to a 13 SEER rating. We called several S. Fla. companies for quotes to replace the house's 13-year-old package unit, which could not cool below 84 degrees on typical summer days. We also asked about the cost to convert to a modern split (16 SEER) unit. All of the companies that responded, except A/C Technologies, said converting to a split unit would be extremely difficult, if not impossible. But Russ from A/C Technologies said he'd done a hundred of them and it's not a big deal. A/C Technologies converted our house and installed a split unit for $500 less than the first quote for a straight replacement of the antiquated 13 SEER package unit. The company sent a team of four who spent roughly six hours on the job. They made minimal alterations to the house and completed the job for the original estimate. They said the key was their employees live in the area and have learned how to convert older homes. It really does pay to get multiple estimates.

I always use this company. They are small and family owned, and so easy to communicate with. They come right away, no run around and have always been able to diagnose issues and find solutions right away. Trust worthy and fair.

I have been using AC Technologies for several years- always on time, courtesy and HONEST!!! As a woman - who is not savvy in the AC Techno area - they could have told me that I needed an entire unit - and I would not have known any better - instead - it was just my line that was backed up - I have used them when I lived in Boca and still using them in Delray!

Honest, Professional, and Responsive. I have been using AC Technologies for many years. Their customer service is spectacular and their technicians are top notch, especially Kurt.

AC Technology is the AC company that we are using now for over 12 years on several of our proprieties. The owners ( Matt and Heather) are nice , friendly and professional. We strongly recommend their business.

I just want to describe what I recently experienced with this place. You can decide yourself if you want to use them or not.

My A/C recently broke on a Friday night. So I called A/C Technologies to get someone to take a look. I called them because they installed the unit about 4 years ago. The guy came and did some diagnosis. He said there is a leak in the system. He pumped in some Freon to get the system running. For the visit, he charged $225 dollars. $125 for emergency visit, $75 for labor per hour and $25 for the Freon.

Couple of days later two guys came to do leak detection. One of them, whom I later learned to be the son of the owner, quickly identified the leak to be in the coils of the indoor unit. When I asked him about other possible leaks, he said that to do that would cost me about $300 because he needed to cut the pipes and re-solder them. He even suggested that they may have to re-route the pipes and that required to go through the attic of the garage or even the house. I was puzzled about this. Later he said that's not needed because the pipes don't go underground. So they are not likely to be damaged. Everyone knows that the pipes are copper pipes, that's the first time I heard that they need to reroute the pipes all the way up to the attic to connect to the indoor unit.

His estimate for the whole project is $450. The estimate is about two hours labor at $75 per hour. $150 fees for exchanging the warrantied unit, and $150 for the Freon. I paid $100 deposit and they left.

Two days later other two guys came and replaced the unit. I paid the remaining $350 after the work is finished.

I was really busy with my work during that period, so I just wanted to get everything fixed and finish my work.

A few days later I emailed Rheem about the $150 fee. The next day Rheem called me and I was told that the unit it under warranty and Rheem doesn't charge any fee for replacement.

I then called A/C Technologies to ask them to explain to me the fee. The person who spoke to me said that Matt, the one who did the estimate, wasn't available. So said that she would talk to him and get back to me.

I waited for the call, which never came. I then called in the morning next day, that person wasn't there. So I left a message. No one called me. The 3rd day, I called again, and was able to talk to the first person, she said that she would talk to the manager and get back to me. Again, no one called me back. This was Friday. So I called again on Monday morning. I was told that the first person wasn't in, she would be in in the afternoon. I called again in the afternoon, then I was told that she would be in after 3:00.

At this point I asked to speak to the office manager or the owner Russ. She put me on hold for a few minutes and then came back to me with a new explanation for the charges, she said she got this from Matt. The new explanation is: $150 for labor. $250 for 5 pounds of Freon and the remaining charge is for miscellaneous. I asked about the miscellaneous, she said like pipes and other materials. For the whole project, they only used some PVC pipes to reconnect the drain. Nothing else was used.

Then I asked to speak to an office manager or Russ. She said that there is no manager available. Russ, the owner, is on indefinite medical leave and will not be available. A/C shops typically have everyone together to assign the jobs for the day. I asked about anyone in charge at that time. I was told that no one would be in charge in the morning.

Thus that's my story, it's long and may be boring to many people.

    Thanks for reading.

P.S. I called Rheem about anything they can do. Rheem said they can do nothing. Next I'll file a complaint to the State of Florida.

Called to have duct work done in our commercial warehouse. I found them to be reliable, showed up on time, staff was professional and cleaned up after job was done. Price was good, would highly recommend this company.

A/C technologies were amazing to work with! When our ac broke they promptly showed up and worked around my schedule to get a brand new ac in our home. Our home is always the perfect temps tire now and our electric bill has gone down!

My complaint is that I was fraudulently charged $350 for a service that was never supplied.
In mid-September 2012, A/C Technologies, Coral Springs, Florida, repaired my air conditioning unit, which had been damaged by a power surge during Hurricane Isaac. I was out of the state at the time. I expressed an interest in having a power surge protector installed on the unit and asked for further details on such things as warranties. I received no response. I was finally able to speak to the A/C Technologies technician, (named Matt), by telephone. He told me that the surge protector was already installed so it was too late. Rather than pay to remove it, I said it was OK to leave it in place.
In April 2013 (last month) I had another breakdown of the same A/C unit and called a different A/C contractor as I was dissatisfied with A/C Technologies. I asked this new technician to show me the surge protector. He said that there was none. Fearing future power surges I ordered a protection provided by FPL. Their specialist also confirmed that I had no power surge protection provided. Clearly Matt lied.
On April 29, 2013 I called A/C technologies to complain that I had paid for something that I did not receive. I was first told that the devise was not provided and I did not pay for it. However their invoice dated 9/14/12 shows the $350 as a line item described as INSTALLED A NEW SURGE PROTECTOR as part of a total charge of $825. Additionally, my MasterCard statement shows a line item payment to A/C Technologies of $825 which comprises $475 for the repair originally contracted plus $350 for the surge protector.
A/C Technologies finally proposed the remedy of installing the surge protector now. Obviously this was an admission that they had lied in the first and second instance. Needless to say, I had lost all confidence in this company and in any case now had the FPL protection in place. A/C Technologies never answered phone calls to resolve this nor agreed to refund the $350 they had stolen from me.
Furthermore, I will add that the work originally contracted was a warranty repair covering parts only. I expected to pay for the labor only. But A/C Technologies added a “warranty fee” of $150 in addition to the labor charge. I called the product manufacturer, Rheem who told me that they don’t charge a “warranty fee” and they never heard of such thing. In fact they thought it sounded like extortion.
This is not a customer complaint of dissatisfaction but an accusation of theft pure and simple.

On June 12,2018 my tenants reported a leak in the AC closet.I called AC technologies as they had installed my AC unit in July 2008. On June 13th, 2018 they sent their service tech to check the problem and give me an estimate. The fee for service call was $75 which would be included in the final charges if we had decided to go with the proposal. The service tech called me with an estimate of $3600 with a complete replacement of AC unit.He told me that the coil was almost gone and repairing it would be a mistake. When I called the company and asked about the warranty on the parts, they told me that the warranty will expire in 13 days and it would cost me more to repair than replacing the whole unit. They charged me $75 and gave me a special discount of $100 if I called them before 3:00 pm to get the the new unit installed the next day.I called another company fora second opinion and an estimate of new AC installation. The service tech went to look at the problem and found out there was a leak in the drain pipe .They replaced the pipe and the pump within an hour and cleaned up the mess for a total of $309 . I confirmed with them the condition of the coil. The other company told me that there was nothing wrong with the AC unit and the coil.AC Technologies gave e a false report. Please stay away from A.C Technologies .I learnt my lesson after losing $75.Their techs do not know what are they doing. They tried to take advantage of the situation by giving us a false diagnoses of the problem. I would give them no star at all.VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

A quick google search brought me to this spectacular company one day while cleaning up around the house I noticed my a/c was out. It was a Saturday morning and my only 2 days off work. I called with the thought I couldn't get it diagnosed or repaired but the folks over at the office assured me it would be up and running within no time. They gave me a great price and came within just an hours time!

I made the mistake of calling them a few years back and learned my lesson. Avoid them!

AC Technologies installed my central air unit. About a year later we had a cold snap for a few days and I turned on the heater for the first time only to find out that the heater was blowing cold air. With a new baby in the house I needed heat so I called AC Technologies to come out and look at my system, the system they installed. I was told that the thermostat was improperly wired (by them!). The tech fixed it but stuck me with a $175 emergency service fee to come out on a Sunday night -- to fix their mistake! It was a really terrible experience and I'm sorry to have ever done business with them.

Very bad service, not recommend at all, I bought brand new Rheem Ac system from this company for my home, cost me $3450 on April 2018 with two years warranty for parts and labor, the AC started trun on and off after just couple months, I called the company to have them check the AC, they came and found the module inside the inside unit failed and need to be changed, they chaned it for me, then month later start leaking which cost me $500 to fix the under stairs storage changing all the draywalls, I called the company regarding this issue they changed the drain out line which was installed incorrectly, but the leaking start again couple days later, they came and changed the coil but the new coil they replaced with is larger and there is no filter fits this size of coils and there is still leaking. How could this possible. Almost all their technicians have visited my house to fix this problem as you see in the photos I posted, Long short story I asked them to change the entire unit because caused me so many troubles with less than a year, they said the factory won't change the unit has 3 major fails, I said there is always leaking inside my house because of this unit, there was a fail in the module and fail in coil what else you want guys to change the unit, specially the unit still under the warranty. I feel so sorry and sad to stuck with such a bad, unprofessional company, they stole my money and obviously they don't know what they are doing. I already filed a fraud compliant against this company so no one has the same bad experience I had with them.

High quality people, equipment and service. I was planning on getting 3 estimates for my 2 story 2 unit home but ended up getting 5 since 2 companies could not install in time or were not on the Ygrene PACE program. They were BY FAR the lowest price for the best equipment. I have a good friend in the industry that does not do Ygrene jobs and he advised me on the units to use. Instead of a salesman I got a serviceman that was going to install my job. Instead of numerous extra charges, everything was included - even the Ecobee smart phone controlled thermo stats - that they gladly changed the location of on my upstairs thermostat to lower my cooling cost - at no extra charge!!!. When the job was installed the guys were courteous and professional. Heather (the owner) was excellent to work with and followed through on every detail. After the job was completed another technician came to inspect that job was completed to code and done properly.

This is actually my second AC unit, first one was done about 12 years ago in my previous home. Totally professional, I didn't even know that they were there until I got to my front door. They left me a xtra filter by my door. When I went into my home was cleaned up the stair well the carpet was actually vacuumed. These things a women notice lol. Went thru a hard time personally with in 2 weeks, fell behind on payments. Had to do a bankruptcy, so you know it was rough. Never one harassed me. I actually called them to tell them about bankruptcy and that I had NO Intention on putting them in it. They were just that professional with me. Here we are 12 years later and I need a new unit. Guess who I called. AC TECHNOLOGY they came out yesterday and here the next day with my NEW UNIT. Great job will definitely recommend, feel bad house was only 89 degrees guys working hard, sweating. One thing I could say I was upset about. I had bought them hot lunch, and they never even stopped to eat. Kudos to you guys, thank you for your passed trust in me and you have a forever customer. Thank you

    Horrible service.
I called to request a quote for a new A/C for one of our rentals. Spoke with one of the agents on the phone and she said that one of the sale representatives could be on the property that afternoon to give us a quote. At around 4:00 PM I having not heard from them I, decided to give them a call. I was informed not to worry that the person would be there before 5 PM. Again no call and nobody showed up.
Next day a call to see what happened. I was put on hold so she could to talk to the sales representative that was supposed to give us the quote. She informed me that the representative had called me several times from the gate of the property, also their office called me and the sales person also called from the gate intercom and there was no answer. I said first of all its very strange and unlikely that I did not received any of that many calls, second how did you call from the intercom if you did not had the code for the unit? Her answer was that he looked up my name from the list and called me. When I told her that this is a unit that we have rented and my name is not on the list she told me that I was laying.
If this is the service that you get when you are calling them to purchase and give them money; imagine the service after they have your money.
Look for a different company that take care of their customers.
