This place does the worst roofing that i have ever seen!! I have been to multiple jobs that they have done to fix roof leaks! The subcontractors they use to do there roofs are horrible! I know 2 different homeowners now that are suing this company! I am only writing this review so that no other homeowners get sloppy work done by illegal immigrants that have no experience

Robert first came to my house I told him what I wanted. He emailed me the proposal, which was different of what I wanted. I told him to call me because, he would send me vague emails.. NO RETURNED CALLS. This was in April 2020. After a month I had another group come to my house to measure the patio again. Robert emailed me another proposal, of course with a higher price. I had emailed them back to call me. NOTHING!!!!! No calls at all. John the representative wanted to know if I had made a decision. I told him that no one had called me to discuss the proposal. He said to me that his supervisor will call me back, that was 2 weeks ago. I had asked John why Robert does not call me back, he said that Robert is very busy. Really!!!! Busy!!! I called MIS today and Rose called me back. I told her what had occurred she said she will see what she can do and hung up. I am extremely disappointed with MIS as they are unprofessional. How can any business stay open like this… Anyone that reads this, please note I am not in the business of writing negative reviews, or find fault with things to include people and or businesses, but in this case I will make an exception.

Dealt with at lease 11 contractors on a full home renovation. The only reliable contractor was MIS. They were organized and beat their schedule. Would be my only call when getting windows.

MIS was prompt and did a great job on my doors & windows. They were very clean and the job came out beautifully. Highly recommend them great price too!!

I signed a re-roofing contract with MIS on September 23, 2020. Contract was for full re-roofing of my property.
I made a first payment in the amount of $6,202.57 by check towards 50% of contracted price. When re-roofing work began and MIS informed me that material was delivered (I did not confirm this as I live an hour away), I made a second payment of $3,101.28 by check on Nov 30, 2020.
I received a mid-roofing invoice from MIS for additional charges they claimed in the amount of $2,530.79 on Dec 4, 2020. I also received a final invoice from MIS on same day in the amount of $5,632.08, including the additional charges listed in previous sentence.
I spoke to their roofing specialist Mike Robinson on Friday Dec 4, 2020 about the job. He assured me that the job was completed, was pending a final inspection that afternoon, that he was driving and could not discuss the additional charges then but would do so following Monday Dec 8, 2020.
On Saturday Dec 5, 2020, my property manager visited the property being re-roofed and noted that less than 50% roof was re-roofed and informed me promptly. Alarmed at this, I wrote by email to Mike Robinson & John Wilson on this.
John Wilson was the MIS representative with whom my entire negotiation of the project, price, scope of work, modalities of payment and so forth had occurred earlier in August and September, eventually leading to signing of contract. John Wilson has since not communicated with me on this matter ever, despite multiple message to him. All subsequent correspondence has occurred largely with Mike Robinson.
Mike Robinson responded by saying that they had contracted for only that portion of re-roofing. This is the first issue.
Monday morning Dec 7, 2008 the portion re-roofed started leaking heavily due to rain. I reported to MIS. Lavetta Cuttright from MIS (with whom I signed all paper work earlier on Sep 23, 2020 in John Wilson's presence) replied that MIS had determined that the leaking rain was caused by rainwater from flat portion re-roofed being carried by drain pipes through attic, that it was a plumbing issue, and that MIS was not responsible.
Upon pushing back on this over next few days after getting the leak studied by another roofing company, MIS disowns all responsibility for fixing this leak. They want modification of re-roofing contract to expand scope of work, settle all payments due on original contract before they will fix the leak for additional charges of $2000. The second company that studied the leak informed me that if they repaired the leak, it would invalidate my warranty with MIS for re-roofing. This is the second issue, though of most urgency at hand.
A third issue is that MIS has billed me excessively in their mid-roofing invoice. I contested several of these charges, providing grounds for contesting and asking for evidence for some of these additional charges.
Mike Robinson responded to my contesting these additional charges by threatening to have all involved parties, including MIS, material supplier Spec Building Materials Corp and their roofing subcontractor Colonial Roofers impose liens on my property.
A fourth issue is that, earlier on Nov 17, 2020, Spec Building Materials Corp sent a "Notice to Owner" informing me that they have supplied roofing material and warning me of exercising due diligence in making payments to MIS and of potential liens against my property if Spec Corp is not paid by MIS or Colonial Roofers. This is the first time I became aware of an entity called Colonial Roofers.
Mike Robinson refuses to disclose how much money is owed to Spec Building Materials Corp. I informed him that, as per my contract with MIS, I made a second payment to MIS after I was informed by them of material delivery and that it is their responsibility to pay Spec Corp. Mike Robinson responded that unless I pay all remaining dues to MIS, MIS will not pay Spec Corp and that Spec will put a lien on my property.
I just received a Notice of Intent to Lien against my property by MIS. -
These are scamsters. They ask for 50% of price to be paid upfront as deposit. This is the first red flag. They give you blank forms to sign, even after being given days to prepare the paperwork. This is the second red flag. When asked for what they are going to insert into the blank forms, they verbally say they are going to fill in the details agreed upon. But, they do not do so. They fill in the forms with numbers that were never discussed. This only becomes apparent to you after a dispute breaks out, and you confront them through the Better Business Bureau. They only do partial work that was agreed upon and claim that that was what was contracted. They refuse to give square footage of roofing proposal. If you sign more than one contract with them, they will not work on the second contract until you have cleared all payments on the other contract. They refuse to refund the deposit on the second contract. There are different individuals you deal with at different stages of the contract, no one taking overall responsibility for what is said on behalf of the company overall. They lie blatantly regarding conversations that took place in the course of contract negotiation. They invent discussions that had never taken place. Their in-house notary is a fraudster, who will be taken to court, as well as the company MIS itself, for breach of contract. Their newly replaced roof (partially replaced through their fraudulence) starts leaking the day after being replaced. They try to disown any responsibility for it, asking to contact a plumber instead! These folks are garbage. They need to be shut down. A state complaint is pending against them. A lawsuit is forthcoming. They are on notice.

I have worked with 10 contractors to renovate my condominium, and nine of the 10 have failed miserably. The only one that performed on time on schedule, and on Budget was Mr. Smith and his company MIS.
I’m active in construction, both commercially and residential and I would highly recommend them to anyone -
We had a great experience. They responded promptly to my questions and were even able to upgrade part of my roof to a metal roof for an incredible deal! They worked quickly and showed up every day to ensure the job got done! Thank you MIS!

MIS is a Great Honest Company!!! 5 star all the way...Very organized, easy to apply and outstanding customer service. We did our HVAC and window replacement - both really went well...No hidden cost and easy to understand... AMAZING!!!
Extremely transparent. Terms clearly explained in electronic doc. Terms then reviewed via phone call before finalizing. Great way to finance large energy efficient projects to fit your budget.
This is the best program currently out there. I will be referring all my friends. The customer service department are friendly and answer any questions you may have with no hesitation. Thank you MIS for being the best PACE provider in South Florida! -
The team did a wonderful job! Modern installations Solutions helped me with my roof and impact windows, and I would definitely recommend them. They were easy to work with and very helpful during the entire process!

I contacted MIS on behalf of my in-laws who required new windows for the house they purchased earlier this year. Kim W responded right away, booked the appointment, arrived on-time and answered all their questions. She's been very attentive and keeps them in the loop on how the project is going. I'll follow up with an update once installation is complete, but wanted to recognize and celebrate quality customer service, which is quite rare these days.

I do not to know where to start. Once the reroof of my home started the chaos began .. to start they covered my pool which had just been redone with a tarp .. next thing I know I hear laughing and in my pool is a man and all the roofing material they were removing. I was not amused.. then the wood replacement or not began. We have a mansard roof with shingles. Walking underneath you can clearly see where they missed nailing the wood onto the brace. In the attic you could also clearly see 20 nails on the side if the 2x4s .. you could see one crew member teaching the other how to use a nail gun. No one on the crew spoke Engine and the so called crew chief was never around. Mike is a great salesman.. I honestly do not know if my roof was put on correctly as we opted for TPO. Sadly the work is only guaranteed for two years which is almost here. This was a $45,000 fiasco. When I asked Mike about all the nails now in my attic he said I’ve seen worse..I have many a photo. Would not recommend for roofing.
01/08/2024 - three years later and I am still waiting for the roof to be fixed , do not read the lame excuse and reason why our roof was installed correctly from company. This is what the inside of my roof looks like today - would you hire this company?
