Diagnosed garbage disposal issues and replacement of same with new stainless steel unit by Shain today. Very comfortable working with Shain and Sanibel Plumbing Co. Explained everything, answered all questions, very professional and clean. Great job, materials and prices.

Before being Sanibel Plumbing was purchased several years ago, I had many positive experiences with the company and its owners. Since the sale it has been the exact opposite. In the spirit of not judging the new owners too quickly I went out of my way to give the new owners 3 successive projects, each totally unsatisfactory.
1.The first project was very simple: re-plumb a kitchen faucet that was incorrectly installed by another contractor during a major renovation of the condo after Hurricaine Charlie. The riser from under the sink through the granite countertop left a 1/4 inch gap. I asked Sanibel plumbing to adjust the riser so the hole was covered. I was told by the plumber that it was impossible to move, and he left. I later learned from another plumber that it could be fixed, and he did it.
2. We had Sanibel Plumbing install a water filter on the outside water line feed to the unit that required connecting the filter to main feed outside and underground. We were thrilled by the result of the water in all our fixtures, but soon was notified the there was a huge puddle of water from an underground leak at the filter connection underground. The Condo Assoc Management company called their standby plumber at emergency and off hour rates to make the diagnosis and repair. The Sanibel Plumbing staff had installed the wrong fitting (plastic) and over tightened it to the point it had split the fitting and caused the leak. I later learned the employees was "let go"..
3. The final try was the mis-installation of a soaking tub in a new house we had purchased on Sanibel. The installation was performed while we were absent. When I asked to be sent a picture of the final installation, they gladly complied and sent a picture with the caption "It looks great". It was great, with the exception that the tub was installed backwards! The drain and faucets were installed at opposite ends of the tub!! They corrected the problem, and sent me an invoice for time and materials, including the correction.I later learned the supervisor "had left for another position".
THAT ENDED THE RELATIONSHIP.

Had a huge leak on July 4th 2018 Sanibel Plumbing staff left their company picnic to help us out were at our house in less then 30 mins. They also contacted a clean up company who was there in less then 2 hrs

I had an emergency situation with a bad valve on the water line coming into a toilet. I called Sanibel Plumbing and they responded within hours. It is great to know that you can call a plumber on island, who is responsive in a time of need and does very good work.

The Sanibel Plumbing Truck just left our driveway. We called on Monday - they were so quick to respond and our tech, CJ ,was quite knowledgeable and very professional. Terrific local company with fair rates!

NO ONE EVER CALLED. NO ONE EVER CAME. Don't bother calling these people for after hours electrical work. I arrived home after a trip on a Saturday afternoon to find the circuit breaker that controls my A/C, furnace, pool heater, and other things. had been tripped. When I tried to reset, it would just trip again. I called them and they said someone would call me back. An hour later I called again and they said they would resend the message. 3 days later and I still have not received that call.

We hired CJ Henry of SanCap Home Services to correct some major electrical issues. He showed up to provide a bid on time, diagnosed the problem, provided us a solid bid, and was here early to do the work (he had to work with LCEC and an inspector from Sanibel). The problem was more complicated than originally thought. CJ stayed later than normal work hours on a Friday night to correct the problem so we wouldn’t be without power for the weekend. He stopped by on Saturday to check that all was good. Great service! I would absolutely hire him for our next problem or project and would highly recommend CJ And SanCap home improvements to everyone.

13 year old water heater was leaking. I called Sanibel Plumbing knowing this was going to be a replacement, not a repair. They had 50 gal. in stock, but sizing has changed slightly in 13 years (thicker insulation now), so tech came over to confirm that their in-stock item would fit. Troy was excellent. Heater was installed same day. As someone who does almost all this kind of work myself, I can't really comment on pricing, since I think $1 is too much to pay anyone! But being on vacation, not having a truck or PEX crimper, etc. -- sometimes you do what you gotta do. I would recommend this company for prompt, courteous, and capable service on Sanibel!

Unreasonably expensive. Charged me $548 for 1 hr 15 min of work and parts worth $50 retail price! One component was $180 for 10 min to install a $10 part. I expect plumbing to be expensive on Sanibel but these guys exceed your wildest imagination. Not going to get bit by the same dog twice! Otherwise, the work was fine.

We were really good customers. This time they installed a faucet. We had a problem with it and called FOUR times for help. (We are seniors.) We never could get a real person (during office hours). Left voicemail each time. They never called back. Had to have another company help us. They were fast at billing us though!

I called Sanibel Plumbing yesterday am! The first question I asked was if they worked on the Ft.Myers side of the river. The office worker, Crystal, stated yes and listened my problem. She told me that they could have someone could be out between 3-5.
At 2:50, CJ arrived at my door and took care of my issue - a leaking garbage disposal unit! He installed the new unit and through problem solving skills, also unclogged the line from my dishwasher to the unit and suggested I use the dishwasher more!
Pricing was fair. Work was efficient and effective! Company workers pleasant, courteous and problem solvers

I used to like Sanibel plumbing but things have changed. The plumber came out to change corroded faucets feeding my washing machine and charged me $200.00. It took about 10 minutes. He said he didn't have the parts and would come back the to replace 3 corroding connectors. He said there would be no additional charge. He never called or showed up. My water heater went out a couple days later and I called Aztec Plumbing to replace it.

Not only did they answer my email after 5PM, but they arrived the next day for a whole-house diagnosis and then, scheduled extensive work by the next day. The work was done expertly by polite and competent plumbers and, when a leak developed, they returned within a half hour to correct their only mistake.

Our bidet started leaking and Sanibel Plumbing sent Mike to our condo the same day. We decided to have it removed. Mike had to drill into the floor to cut the drain low enough so he could patch the floor. He also had to make small cuts into the wall to seal off the ends of the water pipes. He patched the floor, patched the wall with a minimal amount of dust. He cleaned up everything before he left. He gave us the hourly rate before starting so there were no surprises. My wife and I were very satisfied
with the work and quick resolution of our problem. We will be a Sanibel Plumbing for life!

Manny and his team are professional, knowledgeable, responsive and hardworking. They have been incredibly helpful with repairing and remodeling our home post Hurricane Ian. They did the initial demolition work and have since upgraded and replaced electrical and plumbing systems, indoor and outdoor lighting and overhead fans, the water heater, drywall, insulation, paint and more. Everyone at SanCap is super nice and easy to work with. We are completely satisfied with the quality of the work and feel lucky to have found them.

I live on Sanibel and I like to support companies located on the Island. I realize their costs are sometimes a bit higher and so they sometimes cost more. But when water is gushing from an outdoor pipe you also want the BEST plumbing company to handle the job. That's why I called Sanibel Plumbing when it happened to me. They jumped on it, responding with a service call within two hours notice, the entire problem was solved professionally with top quality parts and workmanship. We're all really fortunate that there are service companies on the island that specialize in their Sanibel Clients. I highly recommend Sanibel and their parent company, SanCap Home Services!

This was by far the best experience with a company yet and I highly recommend them. After Hurricane Ian my house was partially damaged but my A/C unit was fried. I contacted countless different companies to come and fix it but they were either booked for 3 months or if they came they didn’t do a good job my a/c continued to be faulty. I spent thousands of dollars on suppose diagnostics until I finally came across SanCap Home Services, they were at my house 1 hour after I called them they sent 2 guys to work on my a/c unit and within 2 hours my a/c was back to normal! The work they did was professional, fast and and very clean job. I can’t express how exceptional their customer service was. I highly recommend them if you have any A/C issues in your home! 10/10 no doubt.
