Overall, very unhappy with the cleaning job performed on my two 4' by 6' rugs. Potential customers should be careful when thinking of dealing with Mussallem Rugs for any cleaning of expensive area rugs. My two rugs were returned to me with deep lines ground into the pile of the rugs. How can you return rugs to a customer like that with no quality control? When I called and questioned them they stated to return the rugs and they would correct the problem. That cost me another trip across town to return the two rugs. Then another two weeks of waiting. They did deliver the rugs to our home after the so-called repair but the rugs were not 100%. All I wanted was for the rugs to be cleaned. They did not have deep grooves when dropped off and they may never be the same. Keep in mind that I paid for the cleaning and they never offered to credit my credit card for the bad job performed. This is what I want all of you to think about before dealing with this business: if you can't clean a rug without damaging it why would you want to spend $10k for a new rug? This is not the service I expected from someone that has been in the business for two family generations. Very unhappy.

Stains gone. Shape renewed. All at a reasonable price with friendly, personal experience. I highly recommend Mussallem for cleaning your rugs.

I can not say enough good things about this company. Their work is exceptional. Their staff is knowledgable and friendly. Their work ethic is top notch. I needed a 100+ year old rug that belonged to me Grandmother cleaned and repaired after it had been damaged in a flood. It took several weeks but the results were worth it. The rug was returned to me in perfect condition and spotlessly clean. To all of you at Mussallems ... I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I honestly thought the rug was beyond hope but I had to try and you guys not only were up to the task but far exceeded my hopes.

I had two Turkish carpets cleaned and one VERY damaged Irish wool rug. They did an amazing job repairing the damaged rug and the two carpets look like new. Everyone was wonderful and provided outstanding customer care. I highly recommend them.

I had a few carpets cleaned at Mussallem and they are Awesome! Michael and his staff are very customer friendly and take pride in the service they perform. Michael has lied to me each time and every time my carpets are done way before the promised date. Lol I highly recommend and encourage you to get the tour of the facility and the process they do to clean carpets

Michael is an expert in his craft. His rug cleaning process is the "best" in Jacksonville. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends. On top of all that Michael is just a genuine, honest, hardworking great guy.

Mr. Mussallem is truly the "Rug Guy". He is very knowledgeable about rugs - the fabrics, stitching, backing and materials. He has a very impressive inventory with a wide variety of styles and colors. His displays are convienent and easy to work with and he is very helpful with selecting an appropriate size or style to fit the customer.

We also appreciated the customer service. We selected several rugs at the store which he brought out to our home. Nearly all the rugs we selected at the store would work with our home, but the lighting is different in our home than at the store. The delivery crew layered the rugs and peeled back each layer so that we could make the best choice.

I acquired a few really nice rugs from an estate sale and Michael and his team at Mussallem Area Rug Specialists took great care of them for me. One needed trimmed down due to previous damage so was rebound. All needed thoroughly cleaned. Through this experience I have become a loyal repeat customer. He sells the most fabulous pad for under carpets that not only adds life to the carpet but it feels luxurious under your feet. The customer service, the quality of care put into everything they do makes this a definite 5-star business. Thank you!!

I did not think the repair of one of our rugs could be done. Not only did they repair it (hand woven); you cannot even tell it is repaired. Both cleaned to perfection. Just outstanding. Job well done - the best place to take your rugs!

They moved the table and put it back exactly where I wanted it!

I had them piece together two halves of a runner to shorten it, hoping they could match up the seam and still have a border on all four edges. The staff was friendly and even brought me flowers when they picked up my rug on my birthday; we were off to a great start. During the 7 weeks they had my rug, the only communication other than when I called a couple of times to check on progress, was when they called to ask me to measure my hallway again because they had lost the measurements. Yesterday they finally returned the rug to me. The work was just OK, which was disappointing. The pattern doesn't match at the seam and there is a slight "bend" where the two pieces meet. I would have expected them to match the pattern before stitching the two pieces together. But to add insult to injury, the price was nothing close to what the sheet of paper they left me when they picked the rug up said. The original figures on the copy they left me totaled around $200. But when they gave me the amount due, it was over $800! They knocked off a whopping $25 from the bill and waived the upcharge when I had to use a credit card, but I still feel totally betrayed and ripped off. If they had told me it was going to cost anything close to this amount, I would have told them not to do the work. And for this price, it should look like a professional job. I probably could have matched the pattern up as well and used a piece of carpet binding tape on the back, and it would have looked as good for almost no expense. If they're charging this kind of money to make a repair, it should be flawless.
